You know, he must have refused a breathalyzer? Everyone I know of spends the night at least in jail after either refusing a breathalyzer or taking one and failing if the signs of alcohol were there which they were in this case. It makes no difference that the hospital BAC test has to be waited for as they already had cause for all of it. From this article: A search warrant application states that Ariel's mother told police "as she crawled from her Chevy Traverse, she observed Reid standing looking at the vehicles and talking on his cellphone," the Star reports. She then "pled" with Reid to call 911 since she lost her phone in the crash, according to the court documents. Judgmental maybe but what? Why was he not checking to see who...
One of two suspects arrested in Philadelphia in connection to the death of a 25-year-old Temple University graduate shot while walking his dog had been freed just two weeks earlier on bail dramatically reduced in part because of coronavirus pandemic-related court closures. District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a statement Sunday night that his office had argued in two separate cases last year that 20-year-old Davis L. Josephus be held in jail, "yet bail was lowered by judges over our objections." Josephus is facing several charges, including murder, conspiracy, robbery and illegal firearm offenses after allegedly shooting Milan Loncar in Brewerytown Wednesday. Davis L. Josephus's bail was reduced from $200,000 to $12,000. Josephus...

Minneapolis police have released body camera footage showing the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Black man earlier this week during a no-knock warrant, a case that has raised tensions in the city and renewed scrutiny upon local law enforcement. This comes up a lot in cases and I know I comment on it a lot and see it a lot as well both here and elsewhere on the internet. I'll start with this simple one, there are rights all humans should have or be entitled to I guess, even most convicted criminals. Imo, one of those rights is NOT choosing your foods and meals. or thinking you have a right to complain or appeal to a judge or court over the fact you are not fed what you like.
“They were calling each other the B-word, so I figured it was just a girl fight,” Donovan Brinson, who pulled up into his driveway as the fight unfolded Tuesday, told the Columbus Dispatch. He said the yelling escalated moments later when he took his dog out back, so he went back into his home. And when police arrived, he said he heard four shots as his wife, Rachel, dove to the floor. https://nypost.com/2021/04/22/makhia-bryants-neighbor-video-suggests-cop-had-to-shoot/

::geek: Hey everyone! I'm very new here! First time posting {although I signed up a week or so back}!... Before I go on I'm going to give all of you a little background. When I was really young {like 6 and 7} I got this idea that I wanted to become a cop when I grew up. That wouldn't have been possible because I have a physical disability from birth. Then I was a victim and survivor of two different crime incidents. It was after one of those that I began diving into studying criminal profiling. Mainly in an attempt to learn how to be more proactive in terms of my safety {because using a gun isn't possible for me} and figuring out what to look for. Reading material at that end consisted of books by {among others} John Douglas and...
