Sheriff Mickey Stines was arrested after surrendering himself to police. The shooting occurred in the judge’s chambers about 3 p.m. this afternoon (September 19). Stines allegedly walked into the judge’s outer office, told court employees and others gathered there that he needed to speak with District Judge Kevin D. Mullins alone. The two then went into the inner office, closed the door and those outside heard shots. Stines walked out with his hands up and surrendered to police. Court employees were on the sidewalk outside the courthouse in shock following the shooting. Stines was handcuffed in the foyer of the courthouse. Principal Kirk Moore was shot in the leg after he pounced on top of the 20-year-old suspect last week. No one else was hurt. I think I had only and maybe heard a blip about this case. I just watched a podcast of Linda - It's a Crime which I will share here. Tyson Draper asked her to cover it and I know Tyson spends time in AZ. Interestingly, when I did a quick internet search after watching Linda's podcast, I am not seeing much on this crime for news of any kind but I did not yet look in depth. One key thing is there is a very, very clear photo of one of the alleged suspects right after the murder at a gas station. These podcasters are asking that all that can share it, on FB and everywhere, to family in AZ if you know people there and just get it out there in the public.

This is fairly long, about an hour. I saw it come up yesterday but wasn't compelled to watch it. Now today, it started for me somehow by me not starting it. So I stopped it but was on the page and started to skim the chat, just to see if worth a watch, etc. The chat is FULL of people saying police have the wrong guy and that her husband framed this guy. I'm not sure this is where to put this but I couldn't find a thread re case of the 2011 murder of Holly Bobo. There were several arrests and three convictions on the case and I'm currently watching the one prosecution that went to trial. Six women have been found dead in less than three months in secluded, wooded areas in the Portland, Oregon, region, but law enforcement authorities said they have not found any evidence that the cases are linked. The women's bodies were found within 100 miles of each other, the Portland Police Bureau said in a news release over the weekend. Police have not determined whether they were all homicide victims, but they were all under age 40.
