In a surprising turn of events, Golden State Killer suspect Joseph DeAngelo has offered to plead guilty in exchange for a life sentence.

DeAngelo, who is suspected of killing at least 13 people, has been incarcerated in the Sacramento County Main Jail since his arrest in April 2018. According to DeAngelo's defense team, he would be willing to plead guilty if the death penalty was taken off the table.

"Mr. DeAngelo is 74 years old," his defense wrote in a motion filed this week. "He has offered to plead to the charges with a lifetime sentence."

No other details about the conditions of such a deal were made public.

Well, well, well.

Maybe he'll talk and we can find out more. Are there any unsolved murders out there that he was involved in that we don't know about? Also, giving him the death sentence in California doesn't mean anything anyway, so why not just save the taxpayers money and go with this deal?

The GSK mentioned "Bonnie" and he hated her during his rapes. I'm watching something on it now and decided to look up if we knew who Bonnie is:

Joseph James DeAngelo, a former California police officer convicted in a string of murders and rapes in the 1970s and '80s under the "Golden State Killer" nickname, was sentenced Friday to life in prison with no chance for parole.
