DAVID "DAVE" EDWIN LEWIS: Murder & arson 13 miles east of Ashland, OR - 4 September 2008

David "Dave" Lewis was a 46 year old father of three. A jack of all trades and good man in any camp, Dave was well known and well respected in his mountain community where he lived on the summit of Dead Indian Memorial Road, 13 miles east of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon for more than 20 years.

David was found dead after a fire at his rural cabin at 12801 Dead Indian Memorial Road. He had been murdered, shot & the cabin set fire.

David's remains were identified by DNA. There was also ANOTHER FIRE near Dave's cabin that same night, at a vacant vacation cabin at 18196 Dead Indian Memorial Road, about 5-6 miles away.

Good questions Tresir: The facilities could be the link. The sheriff dept. was very vague about bullets, when we asked. Mimi Warnecke aka: Susan Jane Jones was his most recent “ long term” relationship ( about 2 years)

We don’t know that he wanted it to lose power, but if he went onto the mountain or into the wilderness, charging would have limitations. In 2008, cell reception was poor. That summer was sweltering hot. It was usual for people who weren’t in air conditioning, to go up into the mountains…day trips or camping. We want David’s autopsy released, so we know exact time of death. We were told both men were murdered in a timeline that was much closer than originally thought.

The above blog ugly is not correct. Troy’s cell had no power, thus, his date / time of death was established by autopsy & forensics. Detectives told us ( Dave’s family) that the two men were killed closer togethan originally thought.

There is an undisclosed link between the 2 men.

There were 4 fires in total. Dave’s, Troy’s camp spot, empty cabin 5 miles from Dave. The xxxwife and registered sex offender she lives with, on a small hay stash area on their driveway.

Dave’s siblings had nothing to do with his death ! That is dillusional from an addict and longtime girl who had a crush on Dave.

Dave allowed a homeless guy ( it has been speculated that it was Troy) to use a bathroom at Hyatt Lake “ RV resort.”

RN and LN know about that. And the death threats that McN & JPte’ made towards Dave. Days later he was killed.

The neighbor who he dated was polygraphed… and was very childish. Clicked with KS the firewood partner to Dave, got a tattoo like Dave had.

The guy on the mountain who was known as a pyro, JRR, found Jesus and still lies like a snake.

Yes, must be a small area or such a coincidence she knew two of the men. Or a heck of a lot of crime. I don't typical believe in a lot of coincidences when it comes to crime. I don't have time to reread the whole thread and think I recall some things but am not 100% so I hesitate to say them. I will say she seemed to know people or of people that knew whoever or she did herself and knew some things supposedly from like Dave directly. Like the check he supposedly had uncashed, didn't she say she saw it herself?

Wasn't the beheaded guy figured to be either a really big knife or a machete?

In Reiner, I was watching a show in they discussion for some of it was about Nick and meth and one of the experts/talking heads was talking about how meth extremely violent crimes and he used California as an example saying why do you think we have all these machete murders, he says that's meth. Don't quote me but I think I have that right as to what he said.

Honestly these crimes were pretty brutal too really. Not with a machete but pretty brutal. It didn't seem to me there was likely any connection because there was no fire, etc but who knows... Addiction to things like that can cause any user to do as they wouldn't maybe do otherwise. Male or female even.

Based on info from Troy's mother, his phone showed her missed calls, which wouldn't have been possible if it hadn't connected to a cell tower, right?

Re David's TOD, I don't know where he was or was last seen or spoke to but info is that his girlfriend couldn't reach him when she called after work and he never returned her call and that there was another unanswered call after hers, so when was he last seen or spoke to? I don't know, do you?

When we travel and have been in no zones, it's but uncommon at all to get a string of messages, missed calls, etc as soon as we get in a connection zone that didn't come through while we had no connection.

I think what happened is that the battery eventually died because he wasn't alive to keep that from happening.

It's still the exact same thing. Once the phone was powered back up, it received the items that were missed while it was either dead or out of a service area.
