It still seems to be unknown whether Nick and parents left together, rode together, despite all the tons of sh*t out there everywhere... From all I've heard. At first I heard they did, now that seems to not be known. No coverup going on there...

And then the fight was not a fight, never was one, and it was a fight, now it WAS a big noticeable one...

Hollywood... Everyone's image...

Don't ask me why as I can't put my finger on it and I really don't know enough about Romy but she is reminding me daily of Chad Daybell's daughter Emma... Protect the family at all costs, the image, don't ever share what really went on maybe...?? Even if brother killed our parents... As if there is some dirty family secret or way you were taught at all costs... I don't know what it is but I keep being reminded of her...

Nick is the one to blame certainly. Doesn't mean though that there might not have been a situation there where someone couldn't have acted or done something. Hollywood for ya imo.

If even 10 percent of what has been said is true, Nick should have been under care and on a hold. Would you agree with that? However, that can't happen when no one calls or does anything to cause such.

I am sure that none of them had any idea that Nick was going to murder his parents. And those Hollywood types don’t like to call in the outside world to solve their problems. Conan could’ve been ostracized by his peers because a lot of of them aren’t really friends to each other, just well known acquaintances. If they were at the party, and then the paparazzi got wind of everything and blew it all out of proportion, no one would want to go to Conan‘s parties ever again. That would’ve been the mentality at the time, I would think.

Well I think that is probably the outcome anyway. Who wants to attend a party where there is a paranoid schizophrenic going around asking everybody questions, and taking notes. :shakinghead:

True that. I saw a show today though that questions why he'd only just now be diagnosed as schizophrenic at 32 and if that's the case (not sure it is), that is a good question. I'm waiting on more on the schizophrenic thing.

Saw your next post too. At first the argument or whatever it was was mentioned by one or two and it quickly got turned into not a big thing but now lately I am hearing again it was a big altercation and people could hear them across the room at this very image conscious prestigious party.

I also have never heard that "just anyone" was invited to Conan's party. So I'd say they were more than acquaintenances, the attendees. Reiner was big, I'm sure bringing Nick wasn't an issue. I'm remarking in this paragraph not to your post but just the conflicting things. No one is going to just "crash" a party like that, it was THE party supposedly or one of them.

Image was certainly a factor here and I think it was with Rob too in his handling of Nick. I think the movie they did hints at that quite a bit.

It's becoming apparent that Michelle was scared of Nick and that they didn't necessarily agree on how to handle him. It's not really unusual when families have a manipulative drug user on their hands.

I've seen a LOT of other things of Nick now than was first shown too.

I think whatever family member/s is trying to buy him an out would regret it if he did get out eventually. Big time.

I think Hollywood or not. Some parents don't want to face facts. And Rob didn’t. Michelle saw the danger.

Start acting erratically, threats, seeming not in touch with reality, definitely a danger to yourself or others. Perfectly good reasons for a hold.

that's the same case i posted in the crime news thread. it was a show on it though. i didn't take it as due to insanity, he took a plea for 2nd degree. he was claiming an edible made him do it but they never went to trial with him using that defense. i think i need to read your link, i should have before posting this maybe but i already heard about the case on the video. in the video they had his LE interview, he wasn't believable at all imo. he was talking stupid for a long time to the detective but then finally asked for a lawyer. they found no drugs in his system but for a bit of THC. he was allegedly hooked on painkillers but was between prescriptions and so he bought some thc edibles. one didn't do anything for him so he took more.

i think it likely he used it and bought them as an excuse/premeditation. it was an interesting video. i don't know that he would have used it as a defense at trial but supposedly it is what he was claiming. he was having serious marital and financial issues. he was LDS, his wife was not. he asked for an LDS church lawyer, unsure if they got him one. i do think he did claim it in a bid for less years but it wasn't clear to me. the judge gave him 30. he killed his wife while she was on the phone with 911.

there was talk that LE did not quickly respond but the dispatcher never escalated the urgency of the call, she told LE it was a domestic and even after hearing the shot and losing the woman, i don't think she ever told them shots were fired. she resigned like the next day or something like that.

he plays what i would call "coy" with the detective. pretending he didn't know what his rights were, asking if he was like Columbo, just brining up stupid things and staying away from talking about the actual crime or his wife. said shouldn't there be at least three people in the room instead of two even though a camera was recording it all and he knew it. just acting dumb. i'll read your link.
 
yeah, there is no plea due to insanity, and he was never found insane. it was a plea. he did use it as an excuse to the judge to no avail.

his friend is stupid to think edibles made him do it.

everywhere too it says one edible, the video intimated the same but when one didn't work he took more.

the family is suing the edible company, didn't know that one. and i disagree with it but suing him won't get them any money. they should just take the SS check for the children til they are of age and leave it go. it's like buying his excuse. bad example imo for the kids. however, in the way of the legal system and expense they will probably be offered something just to make the case go away. they should fight it though.
 
i am still finishing one up that i linked maybe a week ago. life, illness, etc. interfered and i never finished it.

supposedly all in logs or on video or from staff, LE, etc. the last week before their deaths there were many signs something was wrong. rob was late for a zoom meeting and was disheveled and then had to cut it short to handle something at home. michelle had her locks changed. rob cut off wifi to the guest house without telling nick. yet another deadbolt was added to the home. rob is allegedly on home security camera trying to open a door from their home to the courtyard in his robe and the door wouldn't open, apparently locked from the outside somehow, locked inside his own home.

lots of other things. nick had fast growing shrubs put between the guesthouse and the main house in their courtyard, taking away their garden, and well, just a lot more. signs on the inside of his door like "trust no oen".

one time there were pictures with eyes gouged out strewn from the main house to nick's, family portraits.

a long time housekeeper quit just a few months prior i think they said as she didn't want to deal with the guesthouse. so much.

why were they letting nick treat the guesthouse and the yard as his own domain? why did they not have him removed from the property? why did they not seek to commit him, put him on a hold, etc.

how was he getting into the house?? how did he that night??

just crazy stuff. it's as believable as anything i've heard in this case.

was image so important you weren't calling LE on a lot of this? i'd think and have heard with a family member like this you get to a point where you have to or are pushed to the point of almost no longer caring and just shutting them out of your life, and refusing to engage. why weren't they doing this? Or BEGGING for help? it's hard to understand it.

i'd like to know if he was placed on ANY hold over anything in the recent weeks prior or days prior. it doesn't seem like it. instead he is free and they are taking him to a party.

where did he get his money...? did he get an "allowance" too at 32?

the security system and/or alarms never went off that night... Allegedly. how was he getting in? Rob also had the codes changed in the week before supposedly.

michelle was allegedly looking for home in other states. was it just for a getaway purpose or was it to get away from nick? you are going to leave your own home or be "chased" from it and leave it to him?

oh and michelle canceled standing appointments the last week supposedly. the more i hear, the more it seems rob and michelle lived somewhat separately, separate wings, locks, etc. was she leaving perhaps? or hoping to?

it's all salacious a lot of it in this case of course. isn't it always in Hollywood cases? there seems to be some truth to certain things though as they keep coming up.

Sad. Smh.
