The Holly Bobo Murder

I'm not sure this is where to put this but I couldn't find a thread re case of the 2011 murder of Holly Bobo.
There were several arrests and three convictions on the case and I'm currently watching the one prosecution that went to trial.
Anyway, I'm interested to know whether anyone is aware of the case or is familiar it and would share their thoughts.

We used to have a thread for the case. @Kimster can you start a new thread?

They are retrying the case and I haven't been following it. I guess I should be. It might belong here.

It wasn't until I started watching the original trial that I learned there is a retrial!
I haven't watched the chronologically but day by day, and while I haven't even heard the opening statements (I usually start there!) I've listened to several days of testimony and at this point- and for many reasons, I've lost patience with it and am gonna try to catch up with the retrial.

Summary per AI:

The Holly Bobo story is about the 2011 kidnapping and murder of a Tennessee nursing student, Holly Bobo, who was last seen leaving her home with a man in camouflage. After a prolonged search, her remains were found in 2014, and the case led to the conviction of Zach Adams for kidnapping, rape, and murder. However, the case remains controversial, with Zach Adams maintaining his innocence and a recent hearing examining potential new evidence, including a recanted confession from a key witness.

I don't know anything about the case but it looks like the perp ( or one of them) wants a new trial.

This is from August so there may be something more recent.

Yeah, I'd called it a retrial but it's "post-conviction relief hearings" and I'd also thought they were currently on-going but that's not right, either, lol.
Anyway...
I've been trying to ascertain the facts of the crime, itself, and so far, the most significant for me are that the brother didn't identify any of the men arrested and / or convicted as the man he saw walk away with his sister and he'd also heard the man's voice and the only voice he said was similar was that of a RSO whom one FBI agent, in particular, was convinced was the perp.

So is that RSO the only suspect? If not who are these others?

Are there 3 perps in jail for it ATM? No, 2 because Autry was released after 8 years.

These are the 3 -
Jason Autry and brothers Zachary and John Dylan Adams ?

There was a man in camouflage who was seen walking away with the victim. Has he ever been identified?

Several TBI agents (btw, I previously said FBI but they were actually TBI- T for Tennessee) suspected Terry Britt and one former TBI agent I just finished hearing testify on cross said he always believed Britt was "the most logical suspect by far".
Of interest to me (because it's also my impression of the crime) is from an article reporting on the testimony from former lead TBI agent, Terry Dicus, that Discus said the TBI Behavioral Science Unit told him "look for a person acting alone".

No. To my knowledge, the man was never identified and but as I understand it, Britt fit the description of the man in camo.

Refreshed myself on this by reading the Wiki link above.

Many questions came to mind.

A few:

Why would they take her lunchbox, have a card of hers and a receipt? Did she maybe use the lunchbox like a purse and took it with her...? Why would they let her bring her phone? Or did she leave willingly and was not coerced and had these things with...?

The brother told the mom she was with the bf and the mom said that's not the bf, how did she know, she was not there? And why would the brother think it was the bf, did he not know him?

Kneeling facing each other on a garage floor seems odd for anyone to be doing. Just an observation.

I had it in my head the brother knew or was friends with the men but I can't recall if I just suspected that or knew it. Does anyone know? They claimed they were going to show him how to make meth.

The brother was home when these men came, asleep. Seems odd they'd come after Holly when someone was in the house, kind of risky. I wish the thread still existed as I think far more was in that than the Wiki article.

Was there ever any evidence of a vehicle in this--did any of the men have a car...?

I wish I could recall more than I do although most of it was familiar, I just think there's more but I don't have time to check every article in all the footnotes, etc.

Who was her last phone call to, it mentions it but not who it was to.

Why would the mother tell her son to shoot the man if he hadn't seen the man hurt her nor could he know she did not want to see him, was not willingly talking to him...?

Were the doors to the home locked? Did the brother hear a knock? So much not covered and I don't recall.

GrandmaBear, thanks for showing interest!
Holly's abduction occurred in the carport of her home at about 7am as she was leaving for nursing school.
The perp actually may not have thought the brother was home...I don't remember the circumstance in detail but as I recall, the brother testified that his vehicle wasn't parked where he'd been parking.
Anyway, the mother was aware that the boyfriend was out hunting, and a neighbor had called her at work and told her she'd heard a scream coming from their property. The brother hadn't heard a scream- just their dog barking and when he heard Holly's voice along with that of a male, he assumed the male was her boyfriend.

From what I gather, the perp walked Holly through the woods to a dirt road in the woods where he must have parked his vehicle.

Holly's phone data showed that the last activity was when the sim card was removed at 9:25am. (The phone and sim card were later found in separate locations.)
Other info is that the phone was stationary from 8:26am to 8:56am.

I forgot to mention that I think her last call was to her mother that morning, telling her that she'd heard from her boyfriend that he was confronted as whether he had permission to be hunting on the property.

It might be possible to find the old thread on the Wayback Machine? Has anyone tried that?
