Lauren of HTC is claiming that they have now heard the master bedroom door was locked. This would explain the rumors that the children were somehow protected from seeing the murders/their parents. She says the 1 year old was crying because he could not get out of his crib. Says the 4 year old is inquisitive and has moments she gets all serious which I take to mean she knows something happened or witnessed something but she couldn't have if the door was locked... So that does not make total sense.
She doesn't cite sources whatsoever which is irritating.
Says entry had to be forced by friends into the bedroom. Not sure why you'd do that, I suppose to see what was up and if you could help but if no one was answering, you also are messing up a crime scene and maybe should have waited for LE...
i don't know. Never heard this before and again she doesn't say where it comes from...
Seems to come from the coworkers maybe, three of whom knew the key code for the back door and entered that way...
You would think so...? I sure wouldn't give mine out to that many people. Maybe one knew it and let them all in? But she does make it sound like they all knew it.Three of the coworkers knew the back door code? That's a bit unusual isn't it?
Wow! While they have silencers a lot in the movies, silencers are not used very often in the real world. At least not among the people I know and I know a lot of people that own firearms. He must’ve been planning this for a while, do you think?Actually the word silencer is in EVERY charge...

There’s a few people that know my kids’ code but only because they babysit and/or feed the cat when gone overnight .Three of the coworkers knew the back door code? That's a bit unusual isn't it?
I think having one itself is a crime, pretty sure. I guess it does mean some planning imo. The houses there are so close together, he would have known they had children, and so he probably got the silencer as part of his plan thinking he was smart and would get away with it...Wow! Yeah it was a common rumor that he protected the kids from seeing the parents somehow. A lot of rumors I don't think have a basis but that one seemed to come from somewhere...I heard a little blurb early on that the killer had separated the children from the murder scene. That must be why.
Yeah, I'm sure most share it with a few people but three coworkers seems like a lot IF they were the coworkers from an hour plus commute. However, he did have former coworkers in the Columbus area too... I know they were worried about them and LE went to the wrong house for the welfare check but they did probably contaminate the crime scene just a bit. Footprints even outside in the back, etc. I don't think they touched the bodies though or anything like that so that's good. There’s a few people that know my kids’ code but only because they babysit and/or feed the cat when gone overnight .
I have no idea and said so. HTC reported that the master bedroom door was locked. She gave no source in the short. She may have a longer video where she does, I have no idea. How do we know that one of the parents didn't get the kids to a safe place? How do they suspect it was him that did that? Did he admit what he did?
How so? Not if it was a simple lock like most have on their bathroom or bedroom door that usually has a button or a little button you turn. You then just leave and pull the door shut and it is locked. A 4 and 1 year old aren't gong to get through that. An adult could take a coat hanger and do so, etc. but the kids wouldn't be able to.Also, household privacy locks lock from the inside of the room. Not the outside, so it would be whomever was inside the room that locked it. So if he was the one that locked the door, then he would have went out a window from that room.
