The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now involved in the ongoing search for a missing/endangered 11-year-old Colorado Springs boy who went missing Monday afternoon, and the task force investigating his disappearance is organizing a team of volunteers to start searching for him.

Gannon Stauch was believed to be a runaway after he left his home southeast of Colorado Springs between 3:15 and 4 p.m. on Monday. But as the week progressed, his disappearance was upgraded to a missing/endangered person case.

His stepmother said he left his home on foot to play at a friend’s house down the street on Monday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies and major crimes detectives had taken “extraordinary steps” to locate the boy, the sheriff’s office said. They were actively searching for evidence and taking witness statements, a sheriff’s office news release issued earlier this week read.

“He’s very young, it’s dark and cold outside and we want to bring Gannon to safety,” the sheriff’s said in a Facebook post earlier this week.

On Thursday afternoon, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and other task force members, as well as Stauch’s parents, hosted a news conference to update the community on his disappearance, discuss the steps being taken in the investigation, and to notify people in the area that they are organizing volunteers to begin a community search effort in coming days.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Mitch Mahalko said the sheriff’s office received the investigation on Tuesday afternoon and started doing interviews and collecting video surveillance and talking to neighbors, working to collect new leads.

He said that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and FBI got involved after the case was upgraded to a missing/endangered child case. The FBI’s team specializes in search and rescue and “will be a good partner” in the investigation, Mahalko said.

He said the investigation was active and that authorities were conducting interviews with witnesses and collecting evidence – exhausting every lead they receive.

Mahalko said investigators were looking at “persons of interest” in the case as people who might be able to give them additional information on Stauch’s whereabouts.

He declined to say where authorities had been searching but confirmed that investigators had been in contact with some trash companies in El Paso County and in the Lorson Ranch area.

Kirby stressed that people with tips should report them to their tip line – 719-520-6666 – and not on social media because any tips sent to the sheriff’s office on social media will not be considered.

Okay. Now today's has started so I am putting a stop to watching Al's. Right off bat a juror sent a question. They have noticed defendant is mouthing words at times, making gestures, etc. and should they ignore or pay attention and does it matter?

Judge is asking both attorneys what they have to say about it and advising jurors...

Break. They are playing all the tapped or recorded phone calls of T and Al. And all her stories and him calling her on different versions and lies all while trying to get her to tell him the truth and with her yelling at him to get her immunity and him asking why she needs immunity and explaining over and over that he doesn't have that power and why would she need it. It's sickening and getting old listening to them all. If you were a juror who knew nothing of this case, just the facts so far and a couple of fhese phone calls is enough. Her stories are outlandish and lie after lie as she changes facts, etc. It was Quincy. No it was Uncle Matt. It was Eguardo. It happened in Gannon's room. No now it is the storage closet it happened in. Her crying and then fake crying. Over the top dramatics.

The emotions to me when they do seem real in these recordings is a woman trying to find a way out. A woman who has lost everything and about to lose everything with a plan that didn't work. Concocting stories to fit the mass of evidence.

BEYOND sickening there even needs to be more. She is GUILTY and it is clear but of course she has to add more on the family and everyone and put them through all this. There is NO defense in this case other than insanity.

She TORTURED this child.

Well I am getting nothing done and that isn't okay because only day off for quite a stretch. Not noon yet so hopefully can accomplish a lot the rest of the day while maybe playing this in the background. Her voice and b.s. though in these calls I've had enough of though... Hoping they are almost through with that part, unsure.

I am having lots of respect for Al, how he talked to her on the phone. So much self control, I would have lost it🤯
Are you watching it then?

Yes, I agree. In an extremely stress filled time to the max, putting up with her sh*t on these calls not sure how long I could, but he does. Interesting too how each phone call he is a bit different. I suspect investigators are coaching him somewhat on how to be and where to take it the next time.

I am watching today, I have some time. Had to catch up by watching day 2 first. Like you said, cross examination should be interesting.
Yeah I am not through Day 2 yet and switched to Day 3 (today) to at least stay up somewhat with the new and hope to go back and watch the rest of day 2 lol. The chance of me keeping up throughout is unlikely though by far. Murdaugh I was watching some witnesses after and never finished and now we have these trials. I will likely never get back to those.

Yes, I need to do things but I am really interested on how defense will come across and question this first one as haven't seen much from them yet.... Should be starting in a few minutes...

Law and crime network.
The swamp thing is mostly hiding behind her hair again, lol . Her glaring at Al was pretty creepy.
yeah short of close ups harder to tell she is glaring, i think she thinks it isn't obvious on camera but that it is to al...?

i have watched some trials on law and crime but find it isn't as moderated as Scott's, a lot more trolls in chat, etc. But Scott doesn't cover every single trial like L&C more likely does... His is a good one to go to if you want to engage in chat because the bunch is pretty good, it isn't like nationally or worldwide known,etc... Every case that he does follow he puts up the live coverage up even if he isn't present.

When I watch anything being streamed, I turn the comment section off and make the screen big. No outside annoyances on the screen that way.
