The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now involved in the ongoing search for a missing/endangered 11-year-old Colorado Springs boy who went missing Monday afternoon, and the task force investigating his disappearance is organizing a team of volunteers to start searching for him.

Gannon Stauch was believed to be a runaway after he left his home southeast of Colorado Springs between 3:15 and 4 p.m. on Monday. But as the week progressed, his disappearance was upgraded to a missing/endangered person case.

His stepmother said he left his home on foot to play at a friend’s house down the street on Monday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies and major crimes detectives had taken “extraordinary steps” to locate the boy, the sheriff’s office said. They were actively searching for evidence and taking witness statements, a sheriff’s office news release issued earlier this week read.

“He’s very young, it’s dark and cold outside and we want to bring Gannon to safety,” the sheriff’s said in a Facebook post earlier this week.

On Thursday afternoon, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and other task force members, as well as Stauch’s parents, hosted a news conference to update the community on his disappearance, discuss the steps being taken in the investigation, and to notify people in the area that they are organizing volunteers to begin a community search effort in coming days.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Mitch Mahalko said the sheriff’s office received the investigation on Tuesday afternoon and started doing interviews and collecting video surveillance and talking to neighbors, working to collect new leads.

He said that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and FBI got involved after the case was upgraded to a missing/endangered child case. The FBI’s team specializes in search and rescue and “will be a good partner” in the investigation, Mahalko said.

He said the investigation was active and that authorities were conducting interviews with witnesses and collecting evidence – exhausting every lead they receive.

Mahalko said investigators were looking at “persons of interest” in the case as people who might be able to give them additional information on Stauch’s whereabouts.

He declined to say where authorities had been searching but confirmed that investigators had been in contact with some trash companies in El Paso County and in the Lorson Ranch area.

Kirby stressed that people with tips should report them to their tip line – 719-520-6666 – and not on social media because any tips sent to the sheriff’s office on social media will not be considered.

@GrandmaBear. An anxiety attack doesn't last for days. You had SEVERE long term stress for those symptoms to last for days. And your body was definitely in severe stress. But I do believe it started as one and that you did and do have them. An anxiety attack itself passes. It hits like a brick, Then subsides. Within hours if not sooner. Even with learning ways to deal with them, Alot of times medication is needed with the onset of one. That's when you take the medication. I don't hyperventilate, But that is very common for people people who get anxiety attacks. I will sometimes get them where they will wake me up. I can only tie that to a dream I must have been having with this dam Sleep REM Narcolepsy. And I knew why right after my mom died. I would get that vision of that moment of her dying. Now.....Leteisha. she PANICKED. Not a panic attack

I didn't describe that period well. It would subside to a point if I tried to calm myself but would come on again. Whatever it was, it was something else and yes, normally they aren't ongoing for days. I think maybe it was a combo and just too much.

Regardless, no I see no such thing, either thing in Letecia when she claims such. She comes across as she knows the "symptoms" and says she has those symptoms. Can't breathe, needs air, etc. Fake as heck if you ask me. Just another of her games. Anything and everything to get out of something.

So don't get me wrong my friend. When you started to hyperventilate that was the onset of the anxiety attack. I'm certainly not taking what you're saying lightly. It is just newer for you, Different as we both know for everyone who gets them. And YES! VERY SCARY!

Her panic was the same as "Fight or flight" Response. The panic at a concert that gets people trampled trying to save themselves.
i don't know. Even though she was stressed most likely as she was cuffed, being transported and likely never to see freedom again, she was very with it and full of it when stating what one officer did and that she would deal with anyone else but that officer, etc., etc. What I mean is I didn't see any real panic or stress either although it would make sense that she would be feeling both in such a situation. I think anyone would. It was all done for the escape attempt most likely.

She thinks or did she is so smart and such a bad ass and powerful and was thinking she'd be a bad ass escapee is what it struck me more like. Didn't work though. Just like her attempt in jail, her letter(s) to the judge, etc., etc. Fake polygraph test she was trying to buy.

Boy she is something all right. Just not the type of something she thinks she is.

I got you my friend. I understood what you were saying.

I'm not. It was a series of days with it lessening some and then coming on again, hard to explain. The only time it was like that. I'd try to calm, distract, etc. but I couldn't for long and the time kept ticking towards what I was concerned about, I couldn't function and do the one thing so important to me that I do, etc. and that made it worse. Awful vicious cycle.

Oh. I got her bad azz 10 times over. I've been through wayyyyyy more than her. That's why I CAN say all of this. Survivor is an understatement. FACTS!!!!! I'm proud to say that. And yet, I haven't killed anyone or tried to.

The FBI interview strengthens the case for the prosecution immensely, no way she was insane, making up all those stories(cash belly lady, threesome Angel, Eguardo, Quincy ) to send them on a wild goose chase. My ears are still bleeding.
I don’t know how you guys could listen to her for very long at all. Just reading what she said was making my eyes bleed.

I saw a fair amount of it but not all. Don't know of angel or cash belly lady? Heard of Quincy and Eguardo though.

Yeah I thought case was already strong but that interview ADDS a lot and I was impressed with their ways and tactics and the agent. He just slowly put her in a corner and then started turning it up after starting out more nicely...

She is sickening to listen to. I want to never hear her voice again when this is over. It's almost impossible now to listen to it.

From the article:

Grusing testified that Stauch told him about a woman named Angel who she’d met on an app on her phone for the purpose of engaging in a threesome. She also said that Gannon injured his head the day before his disappearance while pushing two beds together.
Stauch provided few additional details about Angel when she and Grusing returned to the interrogation room.
🙄🙄🙄
Edit sorry Kimster!🙈

Geez. I'm sorry for that outburst. I just couldn't help it with my mental health problems.
