SPENCER & MONIQUE TEPE: Columbus, Ohio dentist and wife murdered - 30 Dec 2025 *ARREST* (1 Viewer)

You know, his leaving his phone in IL... The changing of the plates... Ashley or is it Ashleigh (doesn't matter I guess) is pointing out and we all know it too from some well known crimes, is he following other crimes and things other perps did or learning from their mistakes...? She mentions Kohberger and it's a good point, and of course Buzzard with the changing of the plates... All recent well known cases...

Thanks for all your updates on this. Why didn't she take some sort of protection order out against this lunatic? Couldn't she have gone to the police about the first incident where he got in the house? Perhaps she did but he ignored it and returned and murdered them?

She is saying and guessing that Mo got notification of her ex by the security system at their home. Quite possible. They were at a Big 10 game. Traveled, quite expensive for tickets, etc. and she left the game midway through over something to do with her ex on Dec 6th.

This guy/the perp/ex is sounding more creepy by the moment.

Also he allegedly drove all the way back to Rockford and did a shift at work. I would NOT want to be his patient.

He sounds like a dam* serial killer type of guy. Malpractice suits, couldn't be served as hiding addresses, etc., several states and so on.

Maybe he's not but he sure was bent on her yet it is appearing or "them". The more I'm listening, the luckier it is imo those children are alive. That's of no credit to him imo, I think he was so focused on Spencer and Mo that they were his total focus.

Imo this case is going to be somewhat like Kohberger in that there is so much evidence that the best defense atty in the world can't do a whole lot with it or get him off. He thought he was so smart, but was so dam*ed dumb!

I honestly don't know. They are just a piece of paper of course. And perhaps she did, hard to say, things are just starting to come out as cases go of course. Don't miss my last post, sometimes when any of us post about the same time I know I miss things.

He is sounding more insane by the minute. I don't mean criminally insane as a defense, I mean that much of an obsessed guy.

My security cams at my property would alert on cars or people, etc. I never paid for the extra service and they were cheap. Yet if I looked at them, they would tell me if a car or truck or person or so the camera thought was present. I'm guessing Spencer and Mo had an even better system and she got alerted at the big game. WHY they didn't do anything about it after or if they did, I don't know or can't fathom if they did.

My ex was on my property and I didn't review my cams all of the time but the guy I had kind of watching the place told me as he knew security cams better and was the one who put them up for me. He didn't know who it was but I immediately did. I called the sheriff's department the minute I knew. Did I pursue anything? No. I was pretty much told to put up no trespassing signs and then I could do more and that of course it's kind of a domestic/family thing but as far as a case? Not high on the list for LE or any charge. He (my ex) even blurred his plate before heading in. I wasn't there thank goodness but that should say a bit as to what I was married to. He was bent on something and one could tell. Then after he got in the driveway I think he noticed cameras and he lit out of there. If I had been there, Lord knows what would have happened.

So I get it to a point and my ex has to win at all costs. I don't say a lot about it these days but I can sure understand it.

Maybe Monique was more like let's keep the peace, don't aggravate him, I don't know. Hoping he'd settle down. Seems unlikely though. Maybe the court filing in their divorce was about something to do with his stalking them. Most had put it down to an error on the record or docket...

One thing about things like this is they tell you it belongs in family court, not criminal court even if it is criminal... So maybe she took it back to the divorce court... That was months before though.

Just had a thought. This was a big game, pricey tickets, friends with quite possibly. I wondered at first why Spencer didn't leave the game too if the ex was seen on their property but guessing that Monique did not want to wreck it for all the others, they weren't at home, had traveled, a weekend or whatever probably away, so she probably only told Spencer later not wanting to ruin everyone's trip?

But yes, I'd hope after you'd try to do something about it. And tell your hub.

Yeah i just read your last post too. That should be in a criminal court. They didn't share any kids did they?

Okay it's only about 23 to 24 minutes in that she covers the filings and now has Jennifer Coffindoffer on who is my least favorite talking head. I have little respect for the dumb opinions I've seen her many times have.

No kids together. Short, very brief marriage like almost ten years ago.

This case and now Hyde have really got my interest in a way nothing has in a long time.

There is SUCH clear premeditation here. Casing the home, being there before, changing plates...

You know, they've played the marriage video a kazillion times of Spencer and Monique so happy and it is portrayed the marriage was too, but this had to have added stress to their lives. Or at least Monique's, hard to say how much she shared and with who. It to me is becoming obvious she married a monster the first time, without realizing it I'm sure.

I heard somebody being interviewed on Brian Entin‘s podcast last night who said that since it had been so long, Monique probably felt like she had the situation under control. That makes sense. He hadn’t appeared to be ramping up, probably.

But if she knew he was on the property on the 6th of December, why not file something then? Or that he was in their home for hours? She knew something as she left the game due to something with her ex Spencer said. Not sure what she knew but I'm guessing the security system alerted her. Your ex of how many years ago who had threatened you and you don't file for a restraining order? Or call him in for trespassing? If she did, there'd be an entry of it and there doesn't seem to be.

I'd add that that is not having the situation under control. If she thought she did, that day she found out otherwise.

I'm not sure what she knew. Is there proof she knew he entered their home? Seems like if that happened, she would have told everyone she knew about it.

It says "near" the home on one and "entering property" on another, so not necessarily IN the home. Nothing I've read states he actually entered the home and they all seem to be carefully worded like that.

Not that I'm aware of but it's not unreasonable speculation. How would she find out anything at a big game they were out of town for about her ex? On the very day he was on their property or in their home for hours? That's pretty coincidental if not, on that very day. If I was at a game I wouldn't be on my phone but if some alert went off, I'd sure look at it. Whatever it was was serious enough she left the game and Banfield said her son went to that very game and that tickets were extremely expensive.

Why she or they didn't follow up and do anything about it is hard to say though.

I think the first article here intimated that he entered and was in the home for hours. Further ones I've heard say that he was seen on the curtelage, can't say I've ever used that word, I'm aware of the word, but couldn't have told you what it meant. That's the area outside a home I gather.

I believe an article said he was in the home for hours but not sure how that is known or if a news source assumed it. It seems likely. As his car was seen, and him, hours apart coming and leaving. I'd assume they may have more as to cameras that caught him...
