Chickasha is a city in southwest Oklahoma, located about 30 minutes south of Oklahoma City, situated on the Washita River in Grady County, serving as a gateway to southwestern Oklahoma with access via Interstate 44 and U.S. Highways 81 & 62.

From AI

Population around 16,000 so not that big.

Hopefully that will make him easier to find. Hopefully most would not pick up a 12 year old hitchhiker but would call LE... Hoping he is somewhere in the City if he truly ran away which LE seems to believe he did if they think he is alive.

Law enforcement searches Caddo County property connected to parents of missing Chickasha boy

A search was underway Thursday at a Caddo County property connected to the family of a missing Chickasha boy.

At about 4 p.m., law enforcement officials were searching a property near County Road 1410 N and County Street 2730. The property was located near the town of Cement.

The property is listed on social media as a horse training business.

This comes amid a search for missing R.D., who was last seen in Chickasha at about 11 p.m. Jan. 2. His mother and stepfather, Kimberly Cole and George Cole, were arrested Thursday on child abuse and child sexual abuse complaints, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said.

KOCO 5 confirmed through court records that the property being searched on Thursday was connected to the parents' family. A sign on the property also indicated that it belonged to the Cole family.

Officials were walking through the property, including a grassy field near railroad tracks.

Volunteers join search for missing 12-year-old Chickasha boy

The community in Chickasha is urgently joining investigators in the search for 12-year-old R.D., who has been missing for six days.

"To anyone out there listening through media, social media, through any source, (who find him) and bring him here, I will personally meet with this child. We want to get him safe, and we want to get him medically cleared so that he is good," Music said.

A volunteer group called "Find R.D." is assisting law enforcement in the search through coordinated canvassing.

"I have a son that’s 14, and I just couldn’t keep seeing his face and not hear reports that he was found and do nothing," Allana Taylor, the founder of the group, said.

She also addressed D directly.

"You have escaped something that I think most of us can’t really imagine, and I don’t think the public knows what went on in your home. You are in no way in trouble, and there (are) absolutely safe adults. So, if you are not with a safe adult right now, and they’re telling you you can’t come forward, don’t listen to them," Taylor said. "I think the urgency to just get him some safety, especially knowing what he’s probably been through in his life. It just feels all the more urgent because we don’t what’s happened."

Urgent search for missing 12-year-old Oklahoma boy continues a week after he was last seen

The urgent search continues for a 12-year-old Oklahoma boy who was last seen a week ago in Chickasha.

R.D. was reported missing on Jan. 2, and he was last seen at Fourth Street and East Grand Avenue near the Quality Inn. Police and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation have been investigating the "suspicious disappearance," and the community is now coming together to help search.

This story has inspired a lot of people from the area to volunteer to search for D, whom law enforcement officials believe is still alive.

A Facebook group was created less than 24 hours ago, designed to organize volunteer search efforts. The group already has more than 650 members.

"Seeing everything that he has been through and knowing that he is out there needing adults that are going to help guide him to safety, I think we just see our own kids and other members of our community in him and just say if it was my son, I would really want the community to rally," Allana Taylor said about creating the Facebook group.

Authorities have searched several properties connected to D's parents, but they have not provided any updates on those searches.

Volunteers are meeting Friday morning to start their search. A vigil is also scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Train Depot Park in Chickasha.

Anyone with information about D's' location is asked to call 911 or contact the OSBI tip line at tips@osbi.ok.gov or 1-800-522-8017. People can also call the Chickasha Police Department at 405-222-6050.

More parents. They look like tweakers.

He's been missing 8 days. Have they ever shown video of him actually leaving the hotel area? Or on any path from there? Where would a 12 year old hide for 8 days? He has to eat. Needs water. This is OK so it's warmer than here probably at least for sure.

looking at the quality inn streetview, if he left the motel, they most likely have it on video. It looks like the outside is covered pretty well with cameras to be able to see at least people coming and going and what direction. Not sure the quality, but even low quality can make or break the story of him leaving on his own or not. I'm pretty sure they can tell he left on his own at that point by the way they are wording things. I'm just not confident that the parents caught up with him later or not, but they would also know if they left the same direction as he did.

Volunteers use boats to help search for missing Chickasha child on Lake Burtschi

The search for 12-year-old R. D. in Grady County continues as volunteers and authorities intensify their efforts to locate the missing boy.

Dozens of people have dedicated their time and resources to finding D, using drones and boats to search Lake Burtschi on Saturday. One pair KOCO 5 spoke with used their boat as a tool, and they spent five hours on the lake.

"They said they were needing help at Lake Burtschi. I thought, well, I know this lake since I fish it so much. (I thought) I'd come down here and help," William Turner from Chickasha said.

Lake Burtschi is located about 10 miles southwest of Chickasha, where D was last seen on Jan. 2.

OSBI has asked community members to check their property cameras for any signs of D as searches continue around the lake and the hotel where he was last seen.

I have to say I honestly did not know what to expect in this one. LE felt he was alive or said so and I did try to hang onto that and think maybe they had signs of that we were unaware of but it's been 9 days and that was worrisome for sure. With no sightings we know of at least.

Thank GOD.
