THIS JUST IN ~ CURRENT CRIME STORIES #2 (2 Viewers)

My step grandfather was definitely my grandfather. The only one I ever knew. He was in the family long before I was.
That's not relevant. This was a 66 year old man drugging two girls aged 15 and 16 years old. Just glad they realised. They are clearly a lot smarter than him.

It is very relevant. Age of consent in NC is 16, so IF he intended to do nefarious things and the 16 yr old is the granddaughter, it would make it incest. If the 16 yr old is the friend it would be legal had he not been caught drugging her. He is still family to the granddaughter, no matter if step or bio.

What an evil pair. I don't understand why they haven't been charged with murder.
He was alive when they were charged. He died during or near the holiday weekend. I am positive that the charges will be upgraded very soon since he has since died.

this one definitely states they are his granddaughters.

NEW DETAILS: Wilmington Police hold press conference about man accused of drugging teens’ ice cream

James Yokeley Jr. allegedly put pills containing narcotics in his 16-year-old step-granddaughter’s and her 15-year-old friend’s Dairy Queen blizzards

You said they are "definitely his granddaughters" and they aren't. He is a stepgrandfather to one only. ( ie no blood relation ). The second girl is a friend. Its obvious to me what he was up to.

I like details to be accurate.

I figured out what you meant, but his granddaughter? The drugs sounded to me like he was expecting to kill them. I'm probably wrong though.

OMG. Poor kid. In the UK, this kid's prank is called "Knock up Ginger" but never usually ends up in a murder.

Just one, and she is a step granddaughter only. Was he drugging them for nefarious purposes?

Knock up Ginger? Isn't that what all the guys on Gilligan's Island wanted to do?

It's not legal to drug someone without them knowing, irrelevant of age or relationship. This is not an age of consent crime. The 16 yo was driving at the time of the offense, so that would be an additional offense too.

That's why I stated IF he hadn't been caught drugging them. IF he hadn't been caught, it could have been legal and would have been only a "he said - she said" issue. Since he is a relative, it would have been incest, no matter who said what. It's just that easy.

What other offense would it have been since she was driving???

I dont think it would be incest. I think it would be rape. In a lot of states, he isn’t legally related to her so it couldn't be incest.

That's right- the stepgranddaughter is the 16 year old so it would be rape (without consent as she was drugged) not incest. Rape of a minor for the 15 yo. Plus the administering of the drugs. He may get charged with attempted rape.

Driving under the influence of drugs.
