To start. I have always found Serial Killers fascinating. What makes them do what they do?. I know I am not the only one. This is the place to talk about it. I'll start. Who do you find the most fascinating and why?.

I think he would have told them he did it already. I think they're barking up the wrong tree.
I don't know. I go both way son that. He loves his games and his smug knowledge of what he did. You're right in that he relished confessing and reliving his crimes and he also taunted police and got himself caught that way BUT he also loves the game and I think it would be up his alley to have more out there we don't k now about and for only he to have that knowledge. I do think though he would be tempted to brag about it so I'm just unsure...

He's pleading not guilty, so he probably wouldn't own up to them. After conviction, he might.
Yeah, like I said, I don't know. How did they get turned onto these other cases do you know? Just in continuing to look at similar cases or was it due to anything he said? He did have a spell he was allegedly dormant if I recall and weren't these somewhere else? I've heard a bit but not been able to look into it or listen to much.

Eyewitness accounts don't match in the disappearance of "Cynthia Kinney". The day she went missing, She was working at the laundromat, A witness stated she got into a beige Plymouth with 2 people. One statement says it was with 2 males. Another said 1 male, And 1 female. There was talk she joined a religious cult. Yeah O.K. No leads could be tied by investigators to a religious cult. It was also stated she was seen minutes before disappearing with "Hobart Green". His wife disappeared in 1961. He had been under great suspicion for her disappearance. In 1984, 59 yrs old. Killed his son 20 mths old and buried him on his property. He beat him to death. Hitting him between 40-50 times. I would doubt he was involved. "Rader". What stands out is "Bad laundry day". He liked to visit laundromats and watch girls. But "Cynthia's" Disappearance just doesn't seem like BTK's pattern. IMO. But he did visit the town with "The Boy Scouts". And if they can tie in him working that day. It seems to lean that way with his diary entries.

So you think he is likely or isn't likely to be the killer? If I am reading your post right, sounds a bit both ways.

I know it does. Because there isn't concrete evidence either way. Rader knew the town, And his journal entry "Bad laundry day". The entry is very odd. And if they can tie him to installing the equipment across rom the laundromat. But it really doesn't sound like his MO. "Hobart Green" Either. His wife disappearing in 1961 to go on to killing his son in 1984. But what of the eyewitnesses saying they saw her get into a car?. In the middle of working?.

I'm not up on it as you might imagine with no time to read links and know the details, etc. in almost ANY case. I don't follow this Hobart stuff at all. Ar they just picking someone local known to have disappeared a woman or thought to and thought he may have disappeared this one but had no ties to her?

I guess if you have an unsolved murder or disappearance, you are going to get stories so is that what her getting into a car could be? Eyewitnesses can be a blessing and a curse.

I don't know either but I do recall I think his daughter saying (Rader's daughter) that in the murders known thee were one or two that were a bit different than his usual. I think. I just can't recall the details. Maybe that it wasn't done at their home OR he didn't stalk first but it was more opportunistic, again I don't recall.

I've had so little time I don't even know where these fall in time frame or location. There was a period of time it appeared Rader was dormant though wasn't there? I seem to recall that. It is doubtful with any serial killer that they necessarily ARE dormant, they could just be operating somewhere else. OR they could stop because of fear of capture I guess.

Apparently, yes, the bank building was there and so now I'm thinking it must have been some other building that was under construction "across the street"....
Below is an early article that references a bank employee as an eyewitness.

I happened on this LIVE last night when it was 70 minutes in which is generally about how long his goes but it went on for a lot longer. So it is long and I haven't seen the first 70 yet but the continuing minutes were worth it. This is a MUST WATCH.

Rader's daughter went to see him for the FIRST time ever and has a lot to say about that and more. She is telling some things about these new cases being looked at etc. or old cases I should say, and she can now share things each day, etc. IF the investigators have.

A LOT of info. He's old and frail but sharp as a tack allegedly. It was very interesting. I am making a note that I HAVE to go back and watch the first 70 minutes. It is long but I think worth it and a must not miss it, must watch.

I can't swear the first 70 minutes are as interesting but I'm guessing they are as the last hour certainly is.

@Mel70 @Cousin Dupree @Regina and others, just taking the recent names that commented in this serial killer thread.

I hate when they call him B T K. He named himself and he LOVES it when referred to that way.

But yeah, there is more than just some reason I think to believe he may be responsible. I highly suggest watching the one I posted of his daughter.

I try to be fair but she does irritate me a bit of times. You'd think she was LE and running the case. She says things like "my" invesitgators, "my" reporters or investigative journlists who by the way she was irritated with when she finally could share some of these things as investigators had and they didn't pay attention or even react or notice when she let them know or read their emails or whatever. I find that a bit full of it BUT nevertheless there is a LOT of interesting stuff in that video above. You can also see, or I think, she is no where near over what her dad did nor has come to terms with it as she kind of goes one way and then another... Don't get me wrong either, I feel for her, can't imagine, etc. but in no way do I believe LE is putting her as the front and center of the investigation, are they getting her to help? Sure. But it isn't "her" team and investigation and "her" investigators and reporters. I wonder if she realizes how that comes across. To LE too I believe. For instance, she didn't know the sheriff was going to bunch a bunch of stuff to the media until he did. So no, they didn't tell her first.

But again, it's VERY interesting. As I called it, a MUST WATCH.

Who knows. They like to play games, And have their own plan in mind. They still want to control everything. So what's going on in his head?. He's trying to get the most advantage possible. He will tell what he wants and when.
I don't know if either you or @Cousin Dupree have watched it, but I'd still highly recommend listening to his daughter about this meeting I posted. For one thing he cried his eyes out when he realized who she was and that his daughter had come to visit. During the visit, he completely turned his behavior and the face he was showing in an instant depending on what was being talked of.

I don't think he'd have confessed to crimes they didn't ASK him about. I agree they love to tell and relive and brag but as you say they love their games and they love that control and they also don't offer info but prefer to play cat and mouse for lack of a better way of putting it. And if I recall, he confessed to those they pretty much knew or figured he did, he never offered one up they were unaware of did he? And not out of that area either?

I can't keep up these days but she also said just on Sunday she learned of a second one now they are looking at and I am sure she referred to it as Oklahoma number two.

He offered up two that they didn't know about.
