To start. I have always found Serial Killers fascinating. What makes them do what they do?. I know I am not the only one. This is the place to talk about it. I'll start. Who do you find the most fascinating and why?.

I'm watching something on the Zodiac killer on HULU. They present some interesting evidence against Richard Gaikowski.

The one who drew the movie posters?

I was watching a vlogger last night who is working on videos from Zodiac Killer sites. Here's a link to the two I've seen so far, in case there is any interest.

Two young women, a teenager, and a child all disappearing from Rawlins, Wyoming in the summer of 1974 is NOT a coincidence. Collectively they are known as The Rawlins Rodeo Murders. The link below is Part 1. I will post a link to part 2 later, it is about 5:30 a.m. in Wyoming right now.

We have threads on Deborah Meyer and Carlene Brown. They have never been found.
Briefly, Carlene Brown and her friend Christy Gross, both 19, both disappeared over the 4th of July weekend in 1974, from the Little Britches Rodeo at the Carbon County fairgrounds in Carbon County. They were visiting the rodeo from South Dakota. Christy's remains were found 9 years later, 3 miles from the town of Sinclair.

15 year old Deborah Meyer disappeared on her way to a movie theatre in downtown Rawlins on Aug. 4, 1974. Originally from Red Lodge, MT. she had been visiting her aunt who lived in Rawlins.

10 year old Jaylene Banker disappeared from the Carbon County Fair on Aug. 23, 1974, after becoming separated from her friends at the fairgrounds. Her family lived less than 5 blocks from the fairgrounds. Her remains were found in April 1975 in a field near gravel pits about 2 miles from town, in an area that had been previously searched.

I sincerely hope that LE is looking into serial killers Charlene Adell (Williams) Gallego and Gerald Gallego. They kidnapped at least 10 girls from county fairs/fairgrounds, kept them as sex slaves, and then killed their victims. Gerald died in prison. Charlene turned state's evidence against him, served a prison term, and now lives under an assumed name in CA. (BBM) They are strongly believed to be responsible for the disappearance/murder of teen Sandra Kay Butler, who disappeared in 1978 while on her way to the Reno Rodeo in Sparks/Reno NV. The Gallegos were in the area at the time of Sandra's disappearance, although it took decades for LE to connect them to her disappearance. The Rawlins victims fit their mode of operations.

There’s been a lot of kids missing from fairs and carnivals. Were they responsible for any missing boys? We have one in Oregon that I’ve always wondered about. But he went missing in the 80s.

Here is Part 2 of the Rawlins Rodeo Murders. Briefly, it likely wasn't Bundy. Retired homicide detective and cold case investigator Janet Franson believes the most likely suspect is Royal Russell Long. Franson also works with NCMEC.

Victim Carlene Brown was adopted. Her adoptive parents and adoptive brother are all deceased. Franson has been trying for decades to locate Brown's biological parents or biological family to retrieve a DNA sample to be added to CODIS. She was able to obtain Carlene's birth certificate from Colorado, which shockingly lists her adoptive parents Carl Brown and Catherine T. Gutsch as the parents. The couple split up when Carlene and her brother were in their teens. Brown stayed in Rawlins, while Gutsch moved to CO after their breakup.
The sheriff of Carbon County is asking anyone who knew Carlene's biological parents or family to contact him. The sheriff is attempting to get an amended or earlier birth certificate for Carlene.
