To start. I have always found Serial Killers fascinating. What makes them do what they do?. I know I am not the only one. This is the place to talk about it. I'll start. Who do you find the most fascinating and why?.

Siragusa used the Shawcross trial to get elected NYS Attorney General, IIRC.

There is no justification. Same old thing. Bad childhood. Sexual abuse and active with sisters. Wet bed till teen. Then get help. Attica f'ed up and let him out 11 yrs early. Watertown didn't want him back. That should have been a red flag. In the documentary they made a mistake. Jack Blake was killed in May 72. He was found around the time he killed Karen Ann Hill Labor day weekend. The documentary said she was killed in May.

I never knew about the daughter thing. I think it's Siragusa who tells why he doesn't want to talk about Watertown. He can come up with an excuse for killing all of the adults, but there is no excuse for killing children. Makes sense. So much of his stuff complete bull :poop: that, even he, can't come up with a decent excuse story.
 
There is a series on Netflix called "Worst Roommate Ever". Yeah. This is another good reason not to move in with people you don't know. They feature "Dorthea Puente". These other cases are bad. But she wins. Hands down #1. Worst roommate ever. I can't think of anyone worse right now.

Yep. This is the documentary I saw. Says he's not a liar. 😆 O.K. Art. "Weapons Specialist". CLERK! The story he told about killing the Vietnamese women was ridiculous. It was fine he killed the woman stealing from him. Interesting he won't talk about "Watertown" because in his mind he can justify the prostitutes but not the children. His nervous eye tick. He looks like a clown with no make up. He gives the creepy vibe. If he wasn't paroled early from killing the children, Well just charged with Hill, But not Jack Blake. He wouldn't have been able to kill the women. Served less than 15 out of 25 yrs. Infuriating! The details of the murder of 8 yr old Karen Hill are very disturbing. I still can't get over the daughter wanting to know him knowing what he did and involving his grandchildren. He died the same year they united, 2008. I've seen this a couple of times, It's still shocking. And of course blames it on his childhood. NONE of them take responsibility!
 
There is a new documentary on Netflix called "Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer". It's 3 parts about "Richard Cottingham". Also known as the "Torso Killer". Takes place in 1979 with a gruesome scene when Times Square was a cesspool of every kind of porn shop, Theatre, Live show, Peep show, Interactive show you wanted. Every old movie theatre was turned into a porn theatre. Along with thousands of prostitutes. In the picture collage at the top, The one who looks like a mean Santa is what Cottingham looks like now.
 
There is a 5 part series on Netflix called "The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez". A brief summary. 2013. ******** WARNING THIS IS A CASE THAT INVOLVES CHILD ABUSE OF AN 8 YR OLD THAT RESULTED IN DEATH.
It is hard to watch and is one of the worst cases I have ever seen. It took place over 8 MONTHS! Some may remember this from 4 DCFS workers being charged also for failure to act. It's infuriating, But very good.

You have a good point. Dorthea Puente used drugs and poison. And her backyard. No one suspected her for a long time. Who would?. Granny Smith, So caring and kind. Almost all poisons are detectable now. But yes, Slowly poison someone slowly and no one suspects and a no autopsy is requested. I would make it look like an accident. Ohhh. Awwww. Sorry about that.
