The Long Island serial killer (also referred to as LISK, the Gilgo Beach Killer or the Craigslist Ripper) is an unidentified suspected serial killer who is believed to have murdered 10 to 16 people over a period of nearly 20 years.

They did find Shannon's phone. If they pinged it they would have found it sooner. It was among her belongings, ie purse shoes etc

Well so what happened to her between the call to police and her being finally found so close to Hacket's home? LE seem adamant she is not a murder victim of CB so did Hackett keep her in his house for a while, give her drugs, he was a Police Surgeon and EMT after all. She and him just seems to have been forgotten.

You're kidding me that her phone was found with the belongings? I never knew that. Why didn't they ping it to locate her, the night she disappeared? How strange.

Remember the home where the lady called 911? I think she ran from there and into the marsh.
Hackett was home with his wife and daughter.

I think the phone battery died, which I think is the reason the 911 call was ended.

He was her boyfriend who went out to Oak Beach- I think it was the next day, the 3rd- to look for her along with her driver, Pak.

I'd like to add that Hackett said he spoke to the mother because Alex asked him to, that Alex called the mother and then handed the phone to Hackett.

So why did Hackett call Shannon's mother and mention he ran a home for wayward girls?

Have you got a link about this? It's the first i heard that her boyfriend and driver went looking for her the next day.

I don't recall what Hackett said he told the mother re a home for wayward girls nor what the mother said he told her.
But if he was evn just aware of such, why wouldn't he?

She knocked on a woman's door too, who did not let her in but think she did call 911.

I should have read further. I just posted about the woman too. She did not let her in though as I recall but did call in.

She was found close to Hackett's though. Did the woman also live close to him? Can't recall.

Got that right--it is the weirdest and oddest thing and she was not a "girl" as i've mentioned. She was an adult. SO I'm with you, I haven't let a lot of this go, just not revisiting right now because always ends up without a sure answer. I've been down this case many, many, many, many times. And as I think I said, not just here either.

that driver is really iffy to me, always has been and he gave up and left her too....

i forgot about the bf but it sounds right...

Thanks. I have tried pulling them up but they won't work for me at present. Is there also one from the BF Alex too? I will try again later.

You're welcome. I haven't come across one from Alex but he and Pak spoke about what happened and when in the documentary below.
