Wow. I don't think we knew all of this did we? So the DNA was semen on mom. And they surveilled him in FL until getting his DNA from a straw. So he had sex with her before killing her and likely his outside his marriage baby with her, what a nice--NOT--guy. Stellar as his attorney implies. He's had an exemplary career most LE would admire. I bet probably a great marriage too (yeah if such can be true with a cheater/murderer of those related to his own amoral deeds.

Had the kind of training that would explain the surgical precision with dismembering...

Sad that they may never get him for Tatiana's death but it goes to follow he killed the child too.

And he just had to have one more roll in the hay before killing them. Smh. Was she pushing for him to divorce, for support, to tell his wife? And his own child he kills as well??

Good luck with Mr. Exemplary Career Guy Mr. Defense Attorney and with challenging the DNA. Seems to me they are being pretty methodical in all of these cases and not charging until they have pretty solid evidence and certainty. To come up with the fact it wasn't RH/CB the SK I'd say they are pretty damned certain. I wonder if they can place him with her shortly before or in the area of disposal too.
I'm glad they identified the child linking this POS..Murderer. I believe he killed them because he saw them as a burden. You were a participant in the whole situation! Moron!

I think this bit is telling. He transferred to Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn and found her and his toddler daughter, a flat nearby. Fort Hamilton is only 30 miles west of Gilgo Beach, where her torso was found.

"Jackson and Dykes met while stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, and had a relationship while Dykes was still married, according to Donnelly’s office. They had a child, Tatiana Marie, and Dykes was listed as her father on her birth certificate.
When Dykes was transferred to Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, prosecutors say he helped the Alabama native and veteran of the Gulf War lease an apartment nearby to live with their toddler.
The 2-year-old daughter was found killed on Long Island, but Donnelly said prosecutors do not yet have evidence to charge Dykes, who was arrested earlier this month in Tampa, in the death.
Jackson’s body was found in a container in a state park on Long Island in 1997, her body dismembered and unidentifiable beyond a tattoo of a peach. Her daughter’s body and some more of Jackson’s remains were not found until 2011."

I didn't really take in that part but think I had heard about the flat before but not the transfer that I recall. There is the possibility Tanya never knew he was married but I'm thinking she probably did but who knows. Either way the transfer maybe would have had him worried with both her and that child in the same vicinity as the wife (and any children there if they had any).

The fact he was put on the birth certificate makes me think she MAY not have known he was married or maybe she did that despite that. Hard to say. I wonder if he was agreeable to it or not.

OR she was pressuring him to leave his wife, pay support or something... Most cheaters like him never do...

state trooper has been

charged with killing and dismembering a woman whose remains were found along Gilgo Beach in New York nearly three decades ago, with prosecutors alleging the
murder was committed to conceal an affair and a child.

Andrew Dykes, 66, pleaded not guilty Thursday to murdering Tanya Denise Jackson
in 1997. He did not speak further in court and was ordered held in custody until his next court date on January 16.

Prosecutors say Dykes, who was married with children at the time, killed Jackson after she wanted to start a life with him following an affair that resulted in a baby.
Jackson’s body was dumped along Gilgo Beach on Long Island

where she remained unidentified for nearly 30 years and known only as “Peaches,” a nickname derived from her distinctive tattoo. While the case was one connected to the Gilgo Beach serial killer, prosecutors now say a different man was responsible for her death.
Dykes’ attorney, Joseph Lo Piccolo, said after the brief hearing that he expects to challenge the DNA
evidence prosecutors say links his client to the killing, ABC7 reported. He described Dykes as a “law-abiding” citizen in the decades since Jackson’s death.

Decades after the remains of a young mother were found on Long Island – once believed to be tied to the Gilgo Beach murders – Andrew Dykes has been charged in their slayings. Dykes was arraigned at the Nassau County Courthouse Thursday after being extradited from Florida.

Do we know what she did? Once they had her name did we hear? I mean it was easy to assume she was a prostitute possibly when most of the Gilgo victims were. She was in the military with him. Did she work at something or did she turn to the streets for some reason? I wouldn't think so.

So that one says she wanted to start a life with him... I suspected that.

I think they said she worked at a doctor's surgery.

Oh yes, that rings a bell now. Wasn't it said she had trouble getting a sitter so she could go to work or something? Or was it that some neighbor babysat or some friend said that? Man I can't recall but I'm almost thinking she lost the job due to sitter problems. There was something about that job too...

Except being married and having a child with another woman, then killing her.

Not her fault. But these women that believe lies that these men are going to leave their wives for them. They hardly ever do. I can see her believing that since she had a child with him. I strongly believe he saw them as a burden. Maybe threatened to tell his wife. Again, no blame on her. It is absolutely disgusting what he did to them.

This is long but these two guys are worth listening to. I caught most of it live but went in just a bit late. I'm not sure from missing the first moments but it sounded as if they are not sure on the arrest for Tanya... There is great discussion on a lot of things though throughout right to the end. Both are SOOO well versed in this case and history of all.

They cover so much stuff it is difficult to keep up with it. They start off by complaining about Spota and Burke still getting their pensions.

One of the things they also mention at around the 40 minute mark is that a judge has given Shannon Gilbert's estate permission to go after Peter Hackett for her wrongful death. I found a link about it. Not a lot of info though. That has been 13 years since that was filed. I am only about halfway thru this so far.

A judge has ruled Shannan Gilbert’s estate can move forward with a lawsuit against the doctor she allegedly met the final night she was seen alive.
In the lawsuit filed in 2012, Gilbert’s late mother claimed Dr. Peter Hackett treated Gilbert at a halfway home she said he ran at his Oak Beach home.

Hackett has denied the claims and says he never met Gilbert.
The doctor tried to have the lawsuit dismissed. However, a judge ruled there is enough evidence for the emotional distress claimed to move forward.v

iGilbert’s disappearance sparked the search that led to the discovery of 10 sets of human remains along Ocean Parkway.
However, police believe Gilbert’s death was an unrelated accident.
News 12 reached out to Hackett’s attorneys but have not heard back.

I found it worth it. Yeah Spota and Burke was mentioned. Of course.

The Gilbert thing was one thing I found interesting. For sure. New to me. As far as I can recall. Not only Hackett but the other guy too. John Ray has that case doesn't he?

They also discuss the time slots between Gilbert and some of the others... And how CB/RH wanted to throw LE off... I do like how Sarge does not care if he says things some won't as to LE etc. and politicians and the counties and you name it.

I found a lot just good to listen to. As they bounced things one to the other. Both are so well up on the victims and the history and all. I enjoyed it. I didn't find it difficult to keep up with but if I had been doing something and trying to listen I may have. That never works well for me. I wish it did.

Interesting that the Gilbert lawsuit has had basically no news...

Isn't Hackett the one that also made a call/s?

I read your link now and there was little in that as well.

In fact, I don't like how quiet all has gotten.

That's one thing they say about Tanya's case too is that Tierney didn't come out in the same way he did in the charges against CB/RH. I add the RH in case any new ever read here, I did catch that part...

I thought she had a sitter that was a neighbour friend. I don't think she was a hooker like the victims of LISK.

Man Accused of Dismembering Woman Had Surgical Skills

The remains of a woman and her child were found near Gilgo Beach on Long Island. Prosecutors accused Andrew Dykes, the father of the child, who had worked in Army clinics, in the woman’s murder.

When investigators found the bodies of a mother and toddler near a serial killer’s Long Island dumping ground in 2011, they began investigating the pair as part of the Gilgo Beach case.
They referred to the mother as Jane Doe No. 3, or “Peaches,” after a tattoo on her torso and for years sought to identify both bodies through DNA and other methods. They finally identified them as Tanya Denise Jackson, 26, and her daughter Tatiana Marie, 2.
The authorities now say the cases do not appear to be linked to the Gilgo killings, in which Rex Heuermann, a local architectural consultant, stands accused. Rather, Long Island prosecutors have accused a Florida man, Andrew Dykes, 66, of killing Ms. Jackson.
On Thursday, at Mr. Dykes’s arraignment on a charge of murdering Ms. Jackson, prosecutors described what they said were his gruesome methods.
They said Mr. Dykes, a surgical assistant in the military, apparently used his expertise to dismember Ms. Jackson’s body and dispose of the remains in separate locations on Long Island to hide their affair from his wife. His job left him with “the experience to dismember,” said Ania Pulaski, an assistant district attorney with Nassau County.
In court on Thursday morning, Mr. Dykes denied the charges.
“Not guilty,” he said in a husky voice, his gray-stubbled head hung low.

I'll never forget what Sara did. After all that pain already. 💔
