As we have discussed the distances from Massapequa to the dump sites I thought i would research the distances and list them.

(NOTE The distances are all east of Massepequa except for Ocean Parkway, which is west.)

These are three that he has not been charged with so far.
Massepequa to
Oak Beach (Shannon) 22 miles
Tobay/Fire Island (Karen) 27 miles
Jones Beach (Tanya) 15 miles.

These are the seven he has been charged with at present.

Massepequa to
Gilgo (Melissa, Megan, Amber, Maureen) 17 miles
Ocean Parkway (Jessica, Valerie ) 35 miles West.
North Sea (Sandra ) 64 miles

Bringing this forward to note that LE have a suspect in custody ( as noted in article in post 3320 above ) regarding Tanya Rush and her baby daughter, Tatiana Dykes.

So only Shannon and Karen remain to be resolved now.

Tanya Jackson and her daughter might be connected to the larger Gilgo Beach homicide investigation.
Detectives say the close proximity of the two crime scenes raised concerns early on, but it took decades of advances in DNA technology to identify the victims and move the case forward.

Andrew Dykes made his first appearance in a Hillsborough County courtroom Thursday. During that hearing, he signed a transfer agreement and is expected to be extradited to New York to face murder charges.

While the two cases were similar in some ways, it was the ways they were different that caused me to doubt it was the same perp.

I guess they may be in jail together and compare notes. Which county will get him? Tatiana was found in 2010 in Suffolk but Tanya in June '97 was found in Nassau I think, wasn't she?

i'd hope they'd try to keep them apart in separate counties. I think they just did that in Parks, he is in one county and her mom/his wife in a neighboring county.

I don't care that this wasn't CB, it is just awesome that mom and baby will see justice and justice by the right person. CB's troubles are still as bad as they were for those he killed.

It is wonderful all these victims and their families are starting to see both some answers and justice. This is a win imo. This arrest. Just as their identification was.

My leaning is that CB killed the Asian male. I am basing that on his web searches and more. I wonder though if they will ever learn his identity since they say not that many participate in the genealogical thing. So we may never know sadly.

I honestly don't care if I'm wrong lol, I just care about justice. In some cases it would surprise me though.

Re the Asian male, it is more of a leaning than a solid conviction. He is definitely not the same as his other chosen victims that we know about but between his types of web searches and that the male was dressed as a female (do we know that or as it speculated, I'm not sure, can't recall...), I think it's a distinct possibility. Peaches I was probably less sure of, the fact there was a baby made that one seem more unlikely.

You know all the victims we know of of his are adult women but he also searched like was it 9 or 10 year old blonde girls so I'd say there are definitely things we don't know about him and his thinking...

The Sarge had Josh Zeman on yesterday and it was a good discussion, took a bit to get going but then got to be one. There are a lot more things found or known than I was aware of it sounds like or maybe I've just forgotten in the sheer number of things and victims and victims speculated about.

I confuse some of the victims and years, it's just too much to keep straight, for me at least. I've got certain ones down pat though, quite a few of them, but not so much on the years and locations, just as to which was which by name and such.

I always did think it was the same killer for most where some thought the two main areas were two different killers. I allowed that thought too but was more convinced it was one, and it seems it was. Of course there are some that seem like they may not fit, such as Tanya and Tatiana, and the Asian male but then he does seem to have some variety in his searches...

Something they discussed yesterday was how he may have been trying to seem disorganized when he is really an organized killer, with various examples. They also touched on the planning document, reading of profiler books, and of course the web searches. They plan on more next week on Josh's channel on these things.

Well, that's what I thought you meant by "prepared to be wrong", that you'd be surprised, I mean, that's what I meant by my reply, not that I cared about being wrong but that I'd be surprised, indeed, shocked in some cases.

Yeah, I don't mean that I'd be surprised in this one though either--just like I'm not surprised Tanya and baby were not CB. I'm not sold on the Asian male either, I just lean that way. To put it better, I wouldn't be surprised to be wrong. It is only a "leaning" that I think CB did it re the Asian male where in some cases, I'm convinced someone did something. I'm not convinced here so wouldn't be surprised to be wrong. I don't know if that made a bit of sense lol. In some cases, I'd be very surprised to be wrong. Again, it is just a "leaning" here re the Asian male.

Yeah, I thought they/we knew he was dressed as a female but could not recall for sure. Thanks for confirming that.

Wow. I don't think we knew all of this did we? So the DNA was semen on mom. And they surveilled him in FL until getting his DNA from a straw. So he had sex with her before killing her and likely his outside his marriage baby with her, what a nice--NOT--guy. Stellar as his attorney implies. He's had an exemplary career most LE would admire. I bet probably a great marriage too (yeah if such can be true with a cheater/murderer of those related to his own amoral deeds.

Had the kind of training that would explain the surgical precision with dismembering...

Sad that they may never get him for Tatiana's death but it goes to follow he killed the child too.

And he just had to have one more roll in the hay before killing them. Smh. Was she pushing for him to divorce, for support, to tell his wife? And his own child he kills as well??

Good luck with Mr. Exemplary Career Guy Mr. Defense Attorney and with challenging the DNA. Seems to me they are being pretty methodical in all of these cases and not charging until they have pretty solid evidence and certainty. To come up with the fact it wasn't RH/CB the SK I'd say they are pretty damned certain. I wonder if they can place him with her shortly before or in the area of disposal too.
