Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

No, I think he told the dispatcher. Tried to make it sound as if it was in passing or like uhm I'm the... Then that little town's Chief knew too and responded is my guess AND let him drive the city car home out of jurisdiction...

That's just beyond words. I can't imagine the people opening that luggage finding those children's remains. I hope they can track the previous owner and identify the children. That is so evil.

It reminds me of the little boy found this year in the Las Vegas suitcase and since that has been quiet I am guessing the case went totally quiet too. They need to be pushing that one out there and finding out who he is and who left him there!

Quite a few politicians or their family though too. That SD Attorney General was it last year? This. So many others but examples fail me right now. Local police chiefs, one from the Cities had a DUI and an accident and refused to step down this year or last. He was also in a work vehicle. But yeah the famed from "Hollywood" so to speak we sure hear of it a lot...

Lots of politicians do it. Cops will tell you that they hate it when it's a politician they stop because they always pull that.

This sounds a LOT like the Wisconsin one where juvenile male assaults or tries to and kills and leaves in an area a younger female juvenile..

So this guy lived in Bloomington. Now lives in the same city I grew up in from 6 mths to the end of 8th grade. And he taught 8th grade in Richfield. There is one Jr. High. The one I went to. I really hope he wasn't able to abuse any students. But if he did, I hope they come forward.I can think of alot of reasons why they wouldn't. But he needs to pay for every single one.

No weapon and no sexual assault (although one never knows it may have been the intent). Jealousy? Sibling rivalry? Hatred? It would appear to be a blended family or mom and bf each having kids.

This is a far different world these days and I don't think you can just trust children to play together any longer or watch out for one another unless you know who each child is or they love each other, respect each other, etc.
