I was talking of how you might take from an article but you also have gleaned things from elsewhere and know or pick up on what may not be total fact. It was a compliment. And not just in this thread. You don't just accept all. Much news out there imo has anything but the true or full story. They have bias and intent.
So that's basically what I meant, and you showed it in that post. I wish there were more like that in this world.

Anyway, now he's sending more NG and local marines are going in too. These anti ICE protests need to stop. Its turning into a big confrontation now. The court needs to stop the protests IMO. I guess hopefully it will get resolved somehow but not sure how.

This happened the last time he was in office, particularly on the west coast. I try to behave and stay away from politics as you know. It was interesting to watch over YEARS even before him how people who did not believe in illegal immigration or an easy border started to turn against that belief. Yup, stopping. I don't bring up politics for good reason.
As to my comment, if I meant it sarcastically I'd hope to point out it was sarcastic and remember. It was a compliment. You go to several sources and you take from all and then that helps you know when something does not add up. I used to do that, and it left me where I just know not to trust many a source or article. I can't do it any longer but don't feel the need either, I learned it well as to news is not news much of the time. Not without intentional bias it isn't. You don't just put up a link you agree with and leave it at that. If you notice something that doesn't line up with something else you know, you say so. It's smart. It was a compliment. Most don't do that and they just want to believe what they believe and the source. They link it and think it's truth I guess. It isn't that way and hasn't been for a very long time, if it ever was.
When it comes to like the wars, I don't even have the patience for it at times, there is so much b.s. It's also naive for anyone to think they know what is really going on behind the scenes.
You don't generally. All of it. You are that way in many a thread so again, it ws a compliment. I was trying to say it without blasting it all over on here as I am doing now lol. I guess I was too cryptic and short for me in that remark.

Hmm. I resist hard getting into this stuff but at times am tempted.
I used to be but never here and nowhere like here.
Pretty much gave it up.
No one else though is going to try to stuff their stuff down my throat when they don't see the full picture. And it doesn't mean I am not up on any of it nor know what i've seen for decades now.
I take little at face value, especially from those who just see one way and believe news is real news. Too boxed in of thinking for me.

Do you think it's political? I think it's criminal because people are being arrested and it involves the courts. Also the National Guard have been drafted in. Like the LA fires.
I wouldn't know how to start a thread and nobody posts on the political ones anyway, so it's a waste of time.
Criminal things can also be political. So yes. And I have zero faith in the group here to discuss the protests without discussing the politics behind them / immigration. Very much different than fires.

I've only seen one person post political stuff that does so with bias in the main threads and it is not you. And that person never seems to get in trouble. You give all sides. Very notable and fair of you.
Some threads of course it is hard to avoid some of it.
I'll only say it isn't the place I guess. You could do a private convo I guess.
It is political here. And no one can rationally talk such any longer as they could years ago. Well not all people. Some still know how. prett
I'd gladly discuss it outside the forum although I pretty much quit bothering with it.
I've said it before and will again, you are far more up on our stuff than we are on yours. You contribute a lot and from all sides without bias from what I see. A shame such can't be discussed civilly without bias. Just isn't the way it is these days.

That's sad. Zero faith in anyone here. Take me right please. There are ways to discuss such without offending and going far out. No one these days knows how though. And when nothing can be discussed, and it has been made that way, and others make it that way, it will never be discussed or mended.
HOWEVER, it is a crime forum and I'm not here for politics so please come down on the one that always tries to raise such with bias. And it is not @Tresir

I've never bothered with the political area as it isn't why I'm here. I am here for crime.
I don't like the threads that dance with it. A few are the wars and Epstein etc. for instance. It is very difficult to talk of such and stay away from politics and I think most try to though. I personally don't favor those threads. Both conflicts, especially the one, have been going on my entire life and no one in power has ever stopped such. I don't even see the point of talking of it most of the time, just another same thing, same old.
I prefer to do crime and just converse. There are political sites if someone wants them.
I still find it sad on the zero faith. Tresir isn't even from here, nor votes here.
Naturally there are things behind it. And it's been made where most can't civilly discuss it. I miss when people COULD. I'm glad I had the years that was possible.
I'm sorry if I'm out of line, I don't think I am. Just an honest opinion. And there are others here who seem to never be come down on for way out of line posts. Two who are so obvious.
I don't miss JT. And I don't want this to feel like it.
This world won't change with this attitude. People who CANNOT discuss things civilly but I personally no longer really care. It's too far gone.

I moved the Minnesota lawmakers murder into Area 51 where we have more leeway, and then that way the issue of politics isn’t as difficult to skirt around. However, I want to warn you guys that I hate to see people make enemies out of their friends over their personal political views. Good luck!

I am trying to work out which are the next trials coming up. We have the following for Idaho but no date yet for LISK.
Any other dates we know of?
Kohberger's trial is set to begin on August 11 and run through November 7. Jury selection is to begin on July 30.

Thanks for the info. I followed the Kohberger case during the early days but not recently. I didn't know that his trial is coming up this summer. I just may follow it.

Erik and Lyle Menendez will have a new shot at freedom after 35 years behind bars for murdering their parents, a judge ruled Friday.
So, I believe that the brothers were living in a hell. However, go to the police, don't kill them. Also, why not tell the cops "I just couldn't take it anymore." when they showed up. Going out and buying a ton of expensive
makes them look like they murdered them for a change in lifestyle. There are a lot of kids, unfortunately, who are/were being abused and never kill anyone.They also skipped over in Banfield's show that whenever one or both of them would get into trouble for doing something, their father would throw a wad of cash at the victims and make it go away.
