I'm not denying the possibility, just think all of the ways she was dressed don't add up. I mean anything is possible. She could have been up to the wee hours and was just getting undressed or she was up and getting dressed. Or she went to bed in all of this--two shirts, bra, necklace, panties, socks. That one just makes the least sense to me.
By 1, I think actually he was 13 months or more, can't recall exactly, most children too are sleeping through the night. If not, well that's unusual unless the type of parent who doesn't get them to a schedule by then, that's not a knock, it's just typical they are sleeping through the night and not waking to feed.
So while what you are saying is possible, I don't think it the most likely. The autopsy report also doesn't call it a nursing bra which surely would stand out I'd think and a note of would be made. You're assuming it might have been. We're different too in that I never wore a necklace to bed in my life, at least not intentionally. And it is one thing I was constantly telling my granddaughter when young not to do. I can understand the meaning to an adult of a piece of jewelry they never take off but again it's an assumption with that too that is why Monique was wearing one. I'd have to look back, is there one piece she always has on in the photos? And I mean always?
We may never know the answers but I think we might. When one takes their state of dress and what LE eventually says they think was going on and happening with each person and when at trial, etc. for an overall picture...
There's also the possibility he made her take off her pants but I consider that less likely.
Both victims if I recall from my reading had abrasions and fractures... Does that mean in person contact? Or could fractures result from bullet wounds? I'm not sure other than it would seem to me there was an attempted fight by each of them. What is your take on those things?

She had a bra ( they called it a brassiere) and a short sleeved shirt on and a long sleeved shirt over that. Plus underwear. I don't consider that dressed at all. Neither were dressed so i think they were likely in bed when he entered. A bra is a sensible thing to wear day and night when nursing or not, after having a baby, so i don't see that as unusual at all. A normal bra is just as good as a nursing bra anyway IMO.
I interpret the autopsy to mean that the fractures were caused by the bullets.

But note they give detail on the shirts, short sleeved and long sleeved but they didn't give detail on brassiere or call it a nursing bra at all. That's an assumption. He wasn't dressed, she was only missing pants and shoes, that is mostly dressed. Even to the point in having her jewelry on.
Whatever the case, I find it notable and haven't seen it even mentioned or noted here, or elsewhere. Not that I've watched much on this one lately.
I've seen a pic or two of her with two shirts on like that, during the day, dressed. Like a long sleeved flannel over a T shirt kind of idea. Or on that order. I'd like to know what kid of shirts because if something like that, it isn't what you wear to bed. Not a button up shirt over a shirt. With a collar. A crew neck sweatshirt maybe.
She is a stay at home mom. Maybe some days she doesn't get dressed. I'm home all of the time these days and some days I don't. But I don't have a bra on under my loungewear either. Nor do I have jewelry on. I live in winter. I get hot and cold throughout the day. I alternate between flannel pajama pants and a T shirt and when cold I will throw a sweatshirt on over the T shirt. When I get hot, or more than warm enough, I take it back off. BUT I have pants on all of the time. She didn't.

They did describe the bra as well worn and blood stained. It was probably just an old comfortable one.

If she was still breastfeeding it would be a nursing bra. We don't know when or if she breastfed at all, so yes it is an assumption. They didn't give detail on the underwear or socks either. Or on the shirts, except to say one was short and one was long sleeved. I don't really know what your point is TBH.

Okay. I'm just not seeing it the way you are.
I've withheld comment on sleeping with a husband too. A bra wouldn't be typical ever and most women like them off when home or off duty. And in a comfy shirt or two. And most don't sleep like that in bed with their hubs all the way down to shirts, bra, panties and socks but no pants.
We will have to agree to disagree. He clearly wasn't dressed at all in anything but shorts, probably boxers, and that's a distinct difference in layers too, he has none.

I disagree about the bra and clothes wearing at night not being typical based on my own experience, which I have described. Especially if you have to be up at a moments notice to attend to young or sick children in the middle of the night. It is also very much a personal choice at the end of the day. It also depends if you have central heating and have it on at night, which i never do. We will have to agree to disagree.
I also had a shift working hubby when the kids were very young too so often slept alone with not much heating in the house. It is not possible to generalize IMO.

That's not unusual either. My hub always slept stark naked. He did have one wyncyette nightshirt he loved if it was exceptionally cold weather LOL.
Her bra wasnt described as well worn - but multi defects so i got that bit wrong.

Yeah, it's very much personal and all of us if honest, probably have had nights in our life we fell asleep half dressed or in our day clothes, etc.
It's the entire thing for me though, not just one thing with the clothing or jewelry. Now if they said a nightgown with a shirt, or no necklace, or no bra, it would seem more normal to me.
When you talk no heat in the house and you slept alone, again, no pants on though or long nightgown if so cold?
And here, there's a crime, and so it stands out more to me as we don't know what was going on, if there was any contact with this ex, recent problems, how he got in, etc. So I find it more relevant.
Now if I died today in a crime, my daughter would be able to tell investigators I'm dressed very typically to how I normally would be if caught at any hour and was at home. If I was fully dressed, she'd say I must have had to go somewhere. If I was half dressed as this sounds, she would be able to say well she has a necklace on, a bra, so she definitely had an appointment or had to go somewhere, but no pants, so she must have been undressing when whatever happened.
If you get my gist?

Undressing or dressing surely? In the winter I wear wyncyette jim jams. But am not detailing anything else LOL. Also the time of day is the most important thing. In this case it was the middle of the night in midwinter.

Lol, I've avoided as much detail as possible too, and it's sad that i'm even talking of what might be normal or abnormal for her to be in, it's so personal.
Like I said, it's the totality of what she is wearing, not just one item.
It was in the hours one thinks most would be sleeping. However, there was a crime here plus Spencer had a long drive and had to get up early and travel. If it wasn't two shirts, a bra and a necklace and no pants, I wouldn't be wondering so much. We don't know if she was nursing or not but again two shirts would make that harder, not easier.
And anyone can have an odd night, fall asleep half dressed, tired, long day, kids, who knows. But on the very night that he attacked?
I'm not even sure what I'm thinking but I am wondering if she didn't keep early hours on the days Spencer had to leave early and the household maybe had early to bed hours too although when young you can often go longer without sleep sometimes... I'm thinking I guess that she was getting dressed... Maybe the ex if stalking knew the routine or saw the lights previously at what hours... Not sure. Maybe she got up to see her husband up, fed and off...? Started her day early? Had some time before the kids got up then...?
Maybe we can agree on this? Their state of dress was completely different?

The Weinland Park home where a dentist and his wife lived before they were killed in late December is now for sale.Spencer and Monique Tepe's home on the 1400 block of North Fourth Street went on the market on March 11, according to a listing on Zillow.com.
The asking price for the four bedroom, four bathroom home is $775,000. The home has more than 2,500 square feet of living space and three levels, including a finished lower level.
The home has been viewed on Zillow more than 12,000 times in less than 24 hours, according to the information available on the listing.
Unsealed warrant says what evidence police took from Tepe murder scene
A newly unsealed search warrant affidavit provides limited new information in the investigation into the deaths of a Weinland Park couple found shot in their bedroom but does show how much evidence police collected.After Monique and Spencer Tepe were found inside their bedroom and paramedics formally declared them dead at 10:11 a.m., police left the home to wait for a judge to sign off on a search warrant.
This is standard practice, even in cases where a homeowner or resident told police they could come inside.
In the Tepe case, a judge signed off on the search warrant at 11:36 a.m., about one hour, 20 minutes after the couple had been declared dead. The affidavit in support of the warrant had been sealed by a judge for 90 days but was unsealed and obtained by The Dispatch on April 1.
The affidavit does not provide any new information about the homicides or possible suspects.
A document enclosed with the warrant detailing what police took from the home says investigators collected 29 pieces of evidence, which could include multiple items packaged together; multiple swabs of potential blood and/or DNA evidence and 15 sets of fingerprints, which might not all be tested; and more than 400 photographs.
More search warrants would be needed for access to data from electronic devices like cell phones, security systems and computers.
The criminal case against McKee, who pleaded not guilty and remains in the Franklin County jail without bond, is making its way through the court system. A closed-door status conference is set for April 13 between the attorneys and Common Pleas Judge Kim Brown.
Part of the conversation will be about the amount of evidence being exchanged, commonly called discovery.
Court records show prosecutors provided McKee's attorney, Diane Menashe, with an initial discovery filing Feb. 20 with supplemental filings Feb. 23, March 10 and March 31. Filings will continue as attorneys compile and share more details.
According to those filings, among the information prosecutors have provided are:
- Multiple search warrants from Ohio and Illinois
- Firearms expert reports, comparison images and evidence images
- More than 4,000 media items, including photo and video evidence
- Crime scene diagrams and scans
- More than 250 video files of surveillance related footage from the Rockford hospital where McKee worked
Ohio's court rules do not allow the public to view the actual documents, images and videos provided through discovery unless prosecutors introduce them as evidence in a trial, hearing or other court proceeding.
