SPENCER & MONIQUE TEPE: Columbus, Ohio dentist and wife murdered - 30 Dec 2025 *ARREST* (2 Viewers)

This is probably the best one I've seen on this lately, for several reasons.

First of all, they play the full 911 tape. Second of all, they show a drone shot I hadn'tseen of the houses. Then it has the BIL both with his mistaken statement about the call and what it was on STS and then with his correction later.

First the 911 call was on a Tuesday night in April at 2:45 a.m. Who has people over at that hour on a weeknight AND one who gets in an argument with a bf and calls 911? Second she is crying and imo is trying to hide the fact and when she is asked if it got physical is when she cried the worst but she said no. The BIL said the incident he was thinking of was some years back when a neighbor and a friend but Monique's friend either drank too much or ate an edible or something. Now these two incidents seem to make it fairy clear they had people over, things happened, and people called 911. Also the Tepes have two young children and this is going on at 2:45 in your house? Were the Tepes even up? The BIL knows nothing about this incident but said it was not MO's voice. So that would mean they had a range of people over and possibly staying over perhaps a lot. This is why it's important one way or another no matter who it was. Lifestyle. Who knew the house? Who may have known codes? Did people come and go here? Etc., etc.

Now to the alley which is where the consensus is of the guy in the video they want to get identified. The fact he's in the alley one would think meant he entered through the back. Also if it was working, the Tepes had a ring doorbell on their front door. So it makes a lot of sense that he would have entered through the back.

Now if you look at the drone shot of the houses, their house is the second one in. So they have neighbors on both sides and the houses are close. There is a fenced what I would call courtyard, one could say patio maybe behind each house and that courtyard connects to the garage which is what is on the alleyway. So the guy either had to enter through and out two garage doors and then across the courtyard and into the house OR he had to have climbed over a fence. If climbing over one would think someone's camera would have caught a shot of him and maybe in the courtyard too. It's pretty brazen and just seems even more the guy had to know them and the layout of the back yard and property, etc. It's not a like easy in exactly adn to not be noticed. Of course most people aren't going to be up at 2 to 5... This is IF that guy actually did it and went through the back.

For all of these reasons, it is the best video I've seen on the call and the drone picture, etc. I'm not through the discussion with the guest yet but that should be decent too.

So the BIL did not know about the April incident. There is even the possibility, MAYBE that the Tepes didn't know. If they did, they didn't share the info with the BIL or maybe anyhow in the family if he doesn't know.

Couple this in with at the wedding some guy was thanking them for having housed him, fed him, helped him and it's been said he was pretty giving, maybe that they both were. Were they maybe a little TOO trusting of who they let in their home or who could just come in, and possibly at all hours?? It would seem odd when you have two kids in the home though...

Someone got in this home, likely knew the layout, maybe knew the dog, and maybe the kids and the back yard, etc. without issue. Found them.

I keep thinking maybe it was someone that was actually staying there that night... The guy in the alley still could have been doing that too and just then leaving. If someone was staying there, they wouldn't have needed to get into a possibly locked home at all... Also no one would necessarily have known this, not the family, not the neighbors. And how could LE either?

What though was the motive...?

There does seem to be a lot of indication that people were there, and at late or even early morn,2:45 a.m. hours in their lives... One family member said, not sure if it was the BIL, probably, they stayed over there was it like once a week? Made no sense tome unless they lived out of town or something. Maybe it was once or twice a month, can't recall.

I remember Nancy Grace in CourtTV. Vinnie Politain, Catherine Cryer, Beth Katharis, Gloria Alred's daughter. I can picture her. I just can't remember her name. I really liked CourtTV then.

Yeah I liked them all back then pretty much. Don't know if they've changed or I have with a few of them. I should know Gloria's daughter too. Same thing, I can picture her. I hated it when Court TV changed and stopped almost everything they'd been covering and doing.

Yes it did a nice all around coverage of it I thought. Many are still reporting the first thing the BIL said about the 911 call. Or are all on the old things. THis had the most recent new things too AND I really appreciated the drone shot of the houses. I'd highly recommend it. Most up to date thing on all day or night today.

Sooo much misinformation out there flying in chats. Not the worst I've ever seen but bad enough. Things becoming fact that aren't and so forth.

It always seems to happen when cops won't even reassure or do a basic presser. Then things start flying that aren't true it seems.

I've tried to state here what I didn't know or did know to be true. Or said on news. Or by the family. Etc.
 
I will say I don't know if the caller was Monique in April BUT I'd sure like to hear those voices side by side going back and forth between hearing both at the same time. I can't rule it out. And this is a BIL and of Spencer. How often did he hear her cry or very upset if ever? He didn't even know about the April call.

They replayed parts of the wedding vows and she said my lobster, my person. And in that 911 she says "my man" yet it is said she didn't talk like that... Well she was emotional when she said those things in her vows too and it really stands out to me. I hadn't heard the 911 call (only heard it read) until that show I linked. She used "my" a lot and it wasn't my love, my one true love, it was this cute personal way and thoughts at the wedding I guess. I think "find my person" is definitely something like our generation wouldn't usually ever think to say. I found my person. Maybe I found my soul mate, my love, my prince even...

SHe liked the word my and certain ways of talking about him though...

I don't know, it maybe was not her, family would know better but either way I find such ah call came from there significant for several reasons.
 
Okay I was headed for Netflix and then this popped up on YT. I'm not the biggest Gray fan BUT I will give him exceptional marks for his mapping and making sense of video surveillance, etc. Most of us know that from the Delphi case over many years.

Had it been hours long, I wouldn't have watched it but I think it's about 11 minutes and I could tell he was mapping it so I went in to watch. WELL worth it. I had to back it up a time or two so I could get my bearing as to what was where as I understood the home to be and so on.

He also found it listed on realtor. com and I've wondered if it was every listed so NOW one can see the layout of the home. I've been going to look it up but hadn't got a chance to go back and find the address and do it. I have WANTED to see the layout. Likewise no one I've seen has thought to do that. I had but hadn't checked yet lol. Why don't people think of that with all those shows on this case??

So the guy in the video was coming TO THE HOUSE from what he's found, at this point. NO ONE in the public has known that that I know of but he matched up video to things in the alley and did what he does. WELL worth it. It really filled some holes of things I wanted to know.

OH also and SO LE has to have him leaving too, possibly even running, who knows... I've wondered that too! Why they have him going only one way. LE I mean. They have only shared part which has been suspected. He is guessing the 2 to 5 window must be he came at 2, left at 5, POSSIBLY. And that's where they got their time frame. POSSIBLY. LE just didn't share that part.

It's doubtful he went out the front as more cameras I think exist with that route.

It is also possible LE gave a wider window than what they know so that he or we don't suspect, maybe it was actually 3 to 4 I mean.

IF he was in the home for three hours, that is a LOT longer than I would have thought. Yet he left the casings... Hmm.
 
This will likely hit tomorrow with people talking of it and then all will pick it up but not sure why no one else even looked for a listing for goodness sakes!

He is VERY GOOD at this kind of thing.

I just watched it. Very good. If one of them was dead in the basement, it could also explain how they saw a body through the basement window/door.

Well now people are speculating that that caller was in the house. No one knows if outside or in. It's all speculation of course as LE has shared VERY little. They think that's why one can hear the kids in that call (I can't but others have) and how he saw the body because he was not outside, that maybe the 4 year old let him in, or he had the code, etc. At first all thought he was outside. Either could be the case.

It was very good, few have seen it I think as shows I watched yesterday, even in chat, people still weren't understanding the layout OR that the video shows the guy approaching the house, NOT leaving. What Gray showed convinced me of that.

Did you watch the L & C one. That was GOOD and the drone shot is very helpful in seeing the outside layout of the house and neighbors from above too.

The problem with this is many are doing shows, even well known/respected ones, and they don't have the most up to date info. Tons still do not realize the BIl was talking of the wrong incident with the 911 call. Just one example. I'm more up to date than those doing the shows, that's not bragging, it's the truth. Most are just regurgitating the same old stuff every day and speculating. Now don't get me wrong, you can watch 15 shows on it and most are not worth it, but then you will hit that ONE that has new info. I get tired of watching most but then I run into one and bingo, there is some new info. Not from LE but like Gray's for instance. He had the realtor . com listing and mapped it in a way it is clear the guy is approaching the home.

So the newest is that LE had a presser finally but said almost nothing. Shared nothing to speak of. Other than the welfare check all thought was made when they knocked and got no answer (LE), it is now known they went to the WRONG HOUSE. So they were never even there. Until later when things were more urgent.

How does LE mess that up. They have equipment pinpointing addresses, GPS likely in all cars...??

Also being talked about is ANOTHER 911 call that came in 9 days before this incident. A woman called at 2:30 in the morning that someone was pounding on her hdoor and rattling the handle trying to get in. She was low voiced and scared. I meant to link it but I had a day, and a night, and it got away from me. Dispatch talked to her with what i thought were stupid questions like did you ask them what they wanted? I mean I guess one can take that in different ways. She said no of course, she was clearly scared and did not want them to know she was there or on the phone with 911. The dispatcher told her a car as on their way and then hung up with her and told her to call back if anything further happened, was needed or something like that. I don't think they should EVER hang up on a call like that. In case the guy breaks in, harms her, etc., the line should remain open and so she can hear and relay to dispatchers.

Most have been attacking the 911 operators repeatedly from the start on the Tepe calls too. While I didn't think they did great, I was not nearly as on them about it. Now and then with that domestic they ALSO did not respond but took the woman's crying words that she was okay as enough to clear the call.

This call 9 days before ended up cleared with noting that the person was gone. Did they even LOOK for video or anything?

Now this may or may not have been the same perp as the Tepes, who knows. Time was right though as same kind of time frame they are looking at for Tepes so someone out that late at night. That house was a 3 minute walk from the Tepes it is said. It also shows this is NOT a safe neighborhood. Or seems to, even more so.

I think I have the press conference still up so I will link it. I think it was only about 6 minutes. I got the impression they really have nothing. However, they aren't going to share so it's hard to say. It sure wasn't convincing of anything.

I try to link little here as opposed to all that is out there as most is speculation OR regurgitation of the same old. I do wish I had the one that one could hear that call on (I first heard it told of, then later ran into the actual call) but I can't recall who it is just now. Maybe when I wake up some.

Oh and another thing, the show I heard it talked of, that guy also said the other 911 call from their house in April he thought it very well could have been Monique. Quite honestly I do too. He questioned just what I did the other day, did the BIL hear her when crying, when upset, maybe when drinking and upset to be so sure? Saying how people do talk differently then and so on. I'm not saying it is her but I sure haven't ruled it out. However, he did go on to say and it is true, if she was in a domestic with the hub, it wouldn't really make much difference most likely in this case as someone killed both of them and it was not a murder suicide.

These things though do or could show how the neighborhood was, the other incident down the street COULD have been the same perp, and may show the Tepes let a lot of people in their home late at night or had a lot of parties, and how their relationship possibly really was. All of which matter imo.

Let's just say they had searched for video of the guy pounding on the door, what if it would have matched the very guy who did this? THEN it would appear one isn't looking for someone necessarily close to them...

I've stopped not trying to criticize the dispatchers and PD, they clear calls without a car sent, they went to the WRONG house, they don't stay on the line with a woman when she felt she was in danger and more. I'm not going outof my way to criticize them but there are just too many things to ignore also.

Really? Wow. Going to have to go take a look. They were married SO long ago if you mean her ex-husband that I didn't think that was likely... Likely him I meant.

However, I did see something about Spencer's family I think had to help her to get away from him or some such but I never heard anyone else say that so wasn't sure that was true, it was just a headline.

Today, I've actually got sick of watching things on it as all everyone has been doing is rehashing with no info. I'll have to take a look now and read your link.
 
Hmm. So it was her ex-husband. Their divorce was said to have appeared to be amicable. It was years ago. And the marriage was only 3 years (just going by the years) but I hard only lasted like 7 months so I take it they parted before divorce was filed OR the divorce took that long. Plunder had the actual divorce documents but I didn't bother listening as I doubted it would tell us anything as everyone was saying (news and YTers) that apparently it ended amicably.

He had to have been obsessed with her or obsessed that she was with Spencer or something. I think they met at university. I wonder what he did for a living...

It does surprise me as most people would be well over a breakup or divorce at least in that sense after all these years...

And he shot her too but Spencer more shots. That could have been for various reasons.

Well there goes the theory of many that the person knew the code to enter the home. Unless of course they stupidly were friends with him which I highly doubt. They could have opened the door to him or one may have... Not sure, those details were never given. Spencer was shot in the bedroom, I know that.

Thank God he left the kids alive. He and Monique never had kids so I could see him having issue with that then too.

I have to say I am a bit surprised.

Off to YT where I am sure every news station on YT and other YTers are covering it.

This is so odd. Just have to say. Marriage was a long time ago. They never had kids. Short term marriage. Did hear she was afraid of him and the family had to help keep him away from her but still, it was a long time ago the marriage. And a vascular surgeon. It isn't like they had kids together (they didn't) so there were no support or custody issues, etc. Very unusual imo.
 
Catching a few lives with people who heard the news and jumped on. Not hearing anything additional really but didn't know he was a surgeon, etc. Facts like that. Knew most else but not that fact.
 
Sooooo glad they have an arrest in this. In just 11 days. Not bad.

Dispatchers and patrol officer came under some fire and honestly some of that needs to be looked at, but the homicide unit sure came through.
