SPENCER & MONIQUE TEPE: Columbus, Ohio dentist and wife murdered - 30 Dec 2025 *ARREST* (1 Viewer)

It says "near" the home on one and "entering property" on another, so not necessarily IN the home. Nothing I've read states he actually entered the home and they all seem to be carefully worded like that.
Could be. I'd have to go back and reread to be sure but Banfield had the actual docs. It didn't seem to be certain as to that but I'd thought I'd read he was in the home and so I didn't pay close attn to that part but she did talk of him being outside or inside for hours.

Either way it's creepy and scary and something imo alerted Monique. Whether he was checking out a way to get in and in the yard for hours or what he was doing, hard to say. I think it's not unreasonable to speculate though that he made sure he could beat the locks or find a way to enter, I'd think that would be his main reason for being there. So that when he went back to murder them, he'd know he could get in. If he accessed the home, I also think it quite likely he went in, knowing they were gone.

I'm thinking we are going to find that he knew they were gone through social media. Otherwise maybe a mutual friend who both had kept since the marriage. Monique and Spencer were at the game with other couples it sounds like.

Whatever the case, it's scary and very creepy. I can only imagine what he was like in addition to what was said in this in their marriage.

Without going into detail, my ex was like this in a lot of ways. A LOT of ways. Could he intentionally murder? I don't know. I think so. I'm so glad I wasn't home the day he came onto my property. I would have been alone and isolated and he was angry.

Anyhow, they speculated on that show that some women feel if they file charges, etc. they will poke the already angry bear for lack of better words and cause themselves worse problems. Maybe they did call LE or just talk to someone and found that the likelihood of any charges were slim or something.

In my case, i did get the county to determine it was my ex's vehicle (he tried to cover the plate), and reach him which also wasn't easy but they did. I was told I could pursue a restraining order but also advised to put up no trespassing signs so next time it would be extremely clear no one had a right to enter the driveway, etc.

It just isn't something they can do a whole lot about. I did put up those signs very quickly.

My point is I'm wondering why Monique didn't pursue anything but I can also think of reasons why she maybe didn't...

This case is so unusual in that they have been apart for about ten years and share no kids or anything. It's just strange. Usually the scariest time is going through the divorce and a bit afterwards maybe when emotions are high.

Just what triggered this guy? Is it possible he didn't know where they lived and had just found out recently?

Most are speculating that her happiness in the wedding video set him off but to my knowledge this video didn't just go up recently or anything like that. They were married five years before for God's sake. People I think just take the little bit they can see in a case and make assumptions. Like very quickly people were thinking the owner of the business did it (which I thought ridiculous) or the BIL did. Why? Because they were the people they knew of in the case. Kind of stupid. I mean it could be, but I don't see any reason to think any of those things. Didn't see I mean.

I'm curious about why Monique would leave the game, but Spencer didn't? It took my husband one time of reading a letter my ex sent me (shortly after we got married), to call him and put a stop to his harassment. It's amazing what happens when a man confronts another man.

I've wondered that too somewhere above a ways. After first hearing this. I can only guess they spent a lot for tickets, hotel, probably had a family member keeping the kids (no idea) and had friends with too and that they couldn't do much from there about it anyhow. Maybe Monique couldn't deal but told Spencer to stay with their friends?

She maybe felt bad that she brought this man or baggage into the relationship? Or maybe she felt she knew him well enough that if Spencer got involved, it would worsen things and antagonize him?

I agree though. One of the times in my life when I went through one of the worst things ever with a bf, I only felt safe when with someone else and that man knew about the problem the other one was. Not going to say more but yeah, i wonder the same.

I also wonder if he bothered or terrorized her through all the years since their marriage? He's a big dude, maybe she didn't want Spencer confronting him?

I'm wondering if he only recently maybe found out where they lived? I have no reason to think this but just wonder it. Everyone in the beginning wondered why they lived so far from where Spencer worked... Before we knew the ex did it. Maybe because any professional profile online of the dental clinic, etc. would have the ex thinking they lived where his job was... So they lived a very long commute from there instead. So he might be able to find Spencer at work but not Monique and the kids...

That's all speculation on my part though...

Entin is reading the full affidavit. Also clearing up that he made it sound like McKee entered the home on December 6th and that it isn't clear or a fact that he did. He isn't the only one who did that as I thought he had entered the home.

I'm guessing they don't have video to tell if he did or not but to be outside the home on the property for several hours is odd too. Doing what? And no neighbors or anyone noticed? I'm almost wondering if he wasn't wearing some kind of uniform to look as though he was there on some type of service call then?

Whatever the case is, whether he entered or not, I think it's safe to say he was there to ensure he knew the place and could get in when he next came to kill them.

I've seen some speculate he was there that time to do that but found them not home. I think it more likely he knew they were gone though. And he was planning and ensuring entry. Somehow.

She might’ve held some things back from him because she didn’t want him to confront her ex. She thought she had it under control. When I was married, often times I didn’t say things about stuff I thought my ex would overreact on.
