Police are continuing to appeal to the public for assistance as investigations into a 17-year-old-girl reported missing from Bundaberg continue.

The girl, pictured, was last seen at Airport Drive, Bundaberg around 8.30am on May 15.

She did not check in for a booked flight and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police have conducted a land search of Airport Drive and the surrounding areas today, May 19, but have not located the girl or any personal belongings.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

The girl is described as approximately 180cm, pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.

She was last seen carrying luggage and wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants.

They have found remains they believe to be Pheobe.

Oh shoot. Not the word I want to use.

Didn' have much hope in this one as it was. It's hard to know at times what to hope with. If they are gone of course all want the body so in that sense it is a good thing and for charging and such and answers. But it finishes off any hope.

These people, why didn't they just let her go? To see her bf? Assuming they even really took her there alive. It's still not clear what is what here.

Just sad to hear there is no hope even though I didn't figure there was.

Police confirm remains found in search for missing teenager are human

Police have confirmed suspected remains found in the search for Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop have been identified as human.

Queensland Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said further forensic testing would be carried out to formally identify the remains.

Mansfield said the remains were found in bushland and police believe they were not buried.

"Our forensic capabilities will hopefully be finished there today," Mansfield said.

"The area is in an unforgiving terrain, so it may take some time to finish that examination."

Mansfield said the 17-year-old's travel luggage and phone has not been found.

They can both be correct. I believe he was released and then subsequently charged.
Earlier this week, Wood was taken into custody. However he was released without charge.

On Thursday night, both were charged with murder and interfering with a corpse. They are due to appear at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday.
Thanks for clarifying. Interfering with a corpse? So they do have something.

Oh no. She was just a kid. Very sad. I hadn't read all the posts when I just responded.

ETA i guess the title will be updated to "found deceased" once it is confirmed as her.

They believe the remains were not buried? Don't they know? Sometimes I tell you, not sure if it is LE or reporting. Maybe others get them recovered but still you'd think they'd be advised on these things.

I am wondering if animals had got to the scene and messed it up. It was a month before the remains were found.

Could be. Could also be they just dumped her and took off or even that they killed her out there.

New details have now been revealed regarding Pheobe's alleged murder.

It's alleged Bromley and Wood interfered with a corpse on May 15 and again two days later when Pheobe's body is said to have been moved to Good Night Scrub National Park.

A family member told The Courier Mail they 'just knew' it was her despite police yet to officially confirm the DNA results. They said detectives were investigating a match of hair colour and clothing to the teenager's.

Court documents suggest the 17-year-old was killed on Airport Drive in Kensington where she was last seen carrying her luggage, which police have yet to find.

Woods remains in custody at Maryborough Correctional Centre while Bromley is currently at Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre.

The matters have been adjourned until August, with neither entering pleas.

Inside the squalid home Pheobe Bishop shared with alleged killer housemates

The house Pheobe Bishop lived in with her alleged killers has been at the centre of controversy since she went missing more than three weeks ago.

Now the landlords of the house in Gin Gin — a rural town about 50km west of Bundaberg, Queensland — have opened their doors to 7NEWS cameras.

They said Bromley was about to be evicted from the home after it failed its last inspection, saying she had already been given notice to leave.

It was alleged she had then cut off all contact with the property manager.

What a pigsty. Not a bit surprised. How do people live like this? The bed is even covered, well not covered with sheets but with junk.

I suspect the home of the 2 kids in that other case may be the same, maybe not as bad, but probably not great.

Woman charged with Pheobe Bishop’s murder to face all charges in court later this year

A woman charged with the murder of Phoebe Bishop will now face all her charges together in court later this year.

Tanika Bromley’s existing weapons charges were briefly mentioned in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday.

The court confirmed all charges, including murder and interfering with a corpse, will be heard together at a committal hearing on August 11.

The 24-year-old remains on bail for the weapons charges.

She has not entered any pleas.

My God who ARE these people? Monsters for sure. Despite the attempts at cover up and the third party, LE has figured it out, didn't do much good. Who the heck was she around and living with??

Man charged with accessory after the fact to murder in relation to death of Pheobe Bishop refused bail by court

A man charged in relation to the murder of Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop has suffered a massive setback in court, after a judge knocked back his bid to be released on bail.

Kieren Daniel Mittelheuser, 30, is facing two counts of accessory after the fact to murder and one count of attempting to pervert justice in relation to the disappearance and subsequent death of the 17-year-old – which sent shockwaves across the country.

Pheobe’s housemates Tanika Bromley, 33 and James Wood, 34, have been charged with the teenager’s murder and misconduct with a corpse.

They have not entered pleas to their charges and their matters remain before the magistrates court.

Mittelheuser is not charged with killing the teenager but is facing two counts of accessory after the fact to murder and one count of attempting to pervert justice, in addition to a number of other charges such as unlicensed driving, fraud and possessing dangerous drugs.

Police have previously alleged he interfered with their investigation by accessing Pheobe’s mobile phone in the days she was reported missing.

Members of Pheobe’s family – including her mother Kylie Johnson and sister Kaylea Bishop – sat in the public gallery of Brisbane Supreme Court over Mr Mittelheuser’s two-day bail hearing.

On Friday, Supreme Court Justice Tom Sullivan refused him bail and dismissed the application.
