The South Florida man charged in the 2011 killing of his 10-year-old adoptive daughter and the severe abuse of her twin brother won't be allowed to fire his public attorneys, a judge said Wednesday.
Jorge Barahona, 58, was in a Miami-Dade courtroom on Wednesday for a hearing, where he told the judge he's not seeing eye-to-eye with his legal team, saying they want him to plead guilty.
The defense team cited Barahona's request as an example of why they say he is not competent to stand trial.
