Three missing girls in Wenatchee found dead, father still missing

Three missing girls in the Wenatchee area were found dead, according to the Wenatchee Police Department.

According to the police department, police responded to reports of a civil complaint when the mom of three young girls reported that her daughters did not return after a planned visitation with their father.

Police said Decker was believed to be living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup, which was last seen heading west on Highway 2 from Wenatchee on May 30.

WSP was contacted Friday night for an Amber Alert request, but Wenatchee Police said it did not meet the required criteria, and an Endangered Missing Person Alert was issued.

Law enforcement eventually found Decker's car unoccupied near the Rock Island Campground.

Other officers searched the immediate area and found the bodies of the three missing girls.

Decker is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. Police do not know if Decker is currently armed, but he may still pose a significant risk, according to police.

i'm still speculating it could be Travis as well.... someone on X showed me its 107 miles from campsite to this site..... he could have easily made it that far by now

MRIs. They have a packet that you add water to and the chemical reaction gets HOT. They are pretty expensive though and not the easiest thing to just run across in the wild.
no but if you have em packed for one they taste good, you can get them many places and if u have to make 1 meal last you over 24 hours energy wise they will

While the speculation about Travis is interesting, I'm not personally feeling it. Can either of you tell me why you think it might be him? Change my mind here, lol. I just don't see the MO.

madness and insanity at this point on his part..... he could have made it that far..... just a feeling.... i'm totally willing to say it may not be him and won't be shocked if it's not but if it is him... desperation insanity literally losing his mind and wanting to be killed.... setting a fire would do it..... shooting firefighters brings cops and starts stand off that could result in suicide by cop

I don’t think the shooter was him either or they would’ve said it by now. However, we want to think it was because no one wants to think there’s this many crazies out there in the world!

My thought or one is he started the fire to be able to get near a town or somewhere else if he has been holed up.

Or desperation on his part. He IS a survivalist and definitely seems the type to me, he is a wanted man.

They claim this isn't that "common" at all in this are yet we have two such types on the loose? Seems unlikely to me.

I will say I'm not convinced it was him but have not ruled it out by a long shot. It may not be since no ID yet whereas if i t was him, I'd think they could determine that fairly fast. Maybe they are not sure who it was yet.

Also, we don't know yet if he was killed by sniper fire or he killed himself, etc.

I still am surprised civilian were told to go ahead and take him out if they had the chance.

Yeah, I think they would be able to ID him pretty quickly IF him. I won't be surprised either way I don't think.

For me it is just the closeness to where he was last seen and would also indicate he could have been heading for the Canadian border with the fire just being a distraction.

ETA i see it is confirmed as not him but a 20 year old. I still am not ruling out he had something to do with it though, so he could make an escape.

Yeah, that's a thought. No idea what he was really up to or what kind of like buddies he may have had. For the moment though, there seems to be no reason to think that. However, in the beginning they thought shots were coming from m ore than one direction. However, that often happens at first in chaotic ambushes like this.

Week 5 since WA girls first went missing, Travis Decker manhunt ongoing

It has now been five weeks since Whitney Decker first reported to police that her three daughters did not return from a planned visit with their father. The search for now-suspected triple murderer Travis Decker remains ongoing.

Travis Decker has still not been located, at the time of reporting. The search for him has morphed into what may be the largest manhunt in Washington history.

Earlier this week, new evidence linked Travis to the crime scene where the girls' bodies were found on June 2.

Authorities remain unsure if Decker himself is alive or not. With a lack of new evidence proving he is still alive, the state deployed a cadaver dog to the join the manhunt.

So he's been "sighted" in one of the most popular backpacking locations in Washington, and one of the most popular backpacking location in Idaho.
If you're trying to stay hidden, you're not going to go traipsing across the most popular wildland destinations in the northwest.

He was "sighted" in the Enchantments and they had him "penned in" on June 10. The sawtooths are nearly 400 miles away, as the crow flies, and across several major rivers and interstates. 16+ miles a day (in a straight line). Not impossible for someone in shape for hiking through rugged mountain wilderness, and then almost desert-like, and then back to rugged mountains. But extremely unlikely. Unless he hitchhiked. And then, why go back into the wilderness?

Glad people are still aware and keeping an eye out. But I'd be beyond shocked if it was him.
