DAVID "DAVE" EDWIN LEWIS: Murder & arson 13 miles east of Ashland, OR - 4 September 2008 (5 Viewers)

David "Dave" Lewis was a 46 year old father of three. A jack of all trades and good man in any camp, Dave was well known and well respected in his mountain community where he lived on the summit of Dead Indian Memorial Road, 13 miles east of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon for more than 20 years.

David was found dead after a fire at his rural cabin at 12801 Dead Indian Memorial Road. He had been murdered, shot & the cabin set fire.

David's remains were identified by DNA. There was also ANOTHER FIRE near Dave's cabin that same night, at a vacant vacation cabin at 18196 Dead Indian Memorial Road, about 5-6 miles away.

We didn't have a thread on this or the other case until she appeared one day. I'd never heard of the case, don't think most of us had.

I asked her tons of questions and I wasn't going to be rude outright but she seemed to center on the sister doing it which I thought was very implausible and I questioned that as well. She seemed to know a lot about Dave but was never his gf or anything it did not seem, said just a friend I think. Been some time ago.

If she does reappear, I don't care if she sees this because it's the way I see it.

I believe she came from a thread at some other site the way it sounded where people were not liking her opinions or the family wasn't or some such.

You say you're family and so I'm guessing we now have or have had the two sides that were clashing at some other site perhaps?

All of the siblings were cleared,on day one, by the detectives. However, Dave’s x, her registered sex offender 3rd husband, and xwife’s brother in Cali. ( who had been in civil litigation prior for arsons) were not cleared. Or Dave’s newest gf down the road, or the crazy violent BM and wife, at Hyatt Lake / Campers Cove were definitely not cleared. Their employee RN had his guns confiscated. Oregon has high profile murders, which need prosecution. Homicide is a crime that involves a lot of skill to prosecute and they know who killed Dave. They want more evidence and witnesses.
These were pretty obvious cases to solve and the xxxsheriff ( who should have recused himself) told the community as much. Nothing to worry about and swept under the rug. Very unprofessional and immature. Regardless of the ne'er-do-wells, we have always had the faith and sense that David’s case is solved and will be prosecuted. It won’t be just God’s timing, and karma,but legal justice and arrests. The family has always told the truth, Dave always spoke the truth. “ He said it the way it was, and it was the way he said.”

So without saying who as you likely can't, do you know who did it and if it was one of the ones you detail? Or as sometimes is the case, you don't know either as LE is keeping it to themselves? Or what the motive was?

I thought LE have said that they are related and Troy's death date is later than they originally thought. But that will have to be IMO as I don't have a link.

I don't know what the not holding one's breath comment was even about but I decided it must be meant humorously.

Of course everyone here cares about crime and criminal apprehension, trials and justice.

I wouldn't say though we don't speculate or aren't sometimes not so serious.

You popped in here out of nowhere just like the last person did (and then disappeared probably when we weren't just taking her opinions as fact all of the time) and we have no idea who you are either. Maybe someone does but I sure don't.

It's hardly the only case on the site and in fact some of us participate in many of them. This one has almost no interest for some reason other than the few of us you've heard from. I come in just to try to help give it some action because you came in and we are nice that way.

I can tell you outright that I use no bong nor have ever taken any such thing and I still don't know who you were referring to.

If you take the case seriously, then we are here. The few of us that follow this case a bit. We don't like insults though either and won't likely just sit and take such.

Hard to give a case attention when there is no news or anything to go on, or talk about. We talked it out quite awhile ago. What there was to discuss.

Let me ask you, are you here just for this case or do you take an interest in any others? I've not seen you on any other thread. By the way it is sycophant.

I myself and my family suffered the murder of a family member. It's a terrible thing and we endured the time period we were asked not to talk to people about what we knew and I threw myself into other people's crimes at that time or I wouldn't have gotten through, it was hard to stay silent, very hard. What other crimes did for me was it allowed me in threads to yell at and about the perpetrator which I couldn't do in our crime. It sort of let me vent for justice and at other perps openly. May sound weird but it helped me get through.

Our perp was tried and is in prison. Not for nearly long enough though, we were not happy at all with the sentence.

Anyhow, I'm just saying you could try participating in some of the other active threads too. It would help you get to know some of us you don't know, and us you.
