I hate it when they describe hair as "dirty" blonde, especially for a child. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.

Sure hope they find her soon. It sounds like she was just a kid having fun with a family camping trip.
I agree and it is the first thing thought when I read the word describing hair color. Not real nuts about ash blonde or dishwater blonde either, none are the most appealing of words.

Charlotte Sena's bike found by family after abducted girl did one last loop of park alone

C. S.'s bike was found by her family shortly after she decided to do another loop of the park alone as she wanted to "be that big girl" and prove she could do it by herself, officials involved in the search for the abducted girl have revealed.

The nine-year-old, who police say is at risk of serious harm or death after being snatched, was last seen riding her bike in Loop A of Moreau Lake State Park in Saratoga County in Upstate New York at approximately 6.15pm on Saturday. She had done a couple of loops with some family friends she considers cousins before deciding to go around True Bay by herself.

But since she had not come back yet 15 minutes later, her group went looking for her, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said in a Sunday afternoon news conference. Her bike was then found in the same area at 6.45pm and two minutes later, C's mother called 911 to report her missing. The police arrived at the park by 7pm.

Ms Hochul explained: "Last evening, she went out on a bike ride; it wasn't dark, right around dinnertime, and did a couple of loops with close friends she considers her cousins. And then she decided after going around True Bay, she said she just wanted to go around one more time by herself – be that big girl, do it by herself."

"Literally 15 minutes later, she hadn't come back yet," the governor added. "And that's really when the nightmare begins." At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing an orange or pink tie-dye Pokémon shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs and a grey bike helmet. Police said the girl is 5'1" tall, 90 pounds and has blonde hair.

Police scoured the area for 18 hours and an Amber Alert was launched shortly after 9.30am local time, noting it was "for a child abduction" that occurred around 6.45pm the night before. It states: "The child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death."

New York State Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard Mazzone said his crews had carried out a vast search of the park lasting 18 hours, and they believe the child is no longer there. But he said they will continue to search the area and an aquatic search team is scouring the nearby waterways. He added: "We continue to dedicate all the resources that we can to find C and bring her home safe."

Family describes missing 9-year-old girl as loving and kind, asks for any information
It's been 24 hours since 9-year-old C. S. was last seen at the Moreau Lake State Park.

A massive search is underway for the missing child from Greenfield and an Amber Alert was issued Sunday morning.

CBS 6's Emma Quinn spoke to C's aunt Jene today- she says the family is devastated by the situation and are praying for a safe return.

She described C as a loving and kind little girl. Gov. Hochul spoke to the family and said C was just nominated by her fourth grade class to be student council member.

What was supposed to be a fun fall weekend has turned into a nightmare for the family.

C's Aunt Jene Sena spoke on behalf of the family, saying they are praying for their little girl's safe return.

"That no tip is insignificant, so if anyone has any information at all, saw anything in the vicinity of the entrance of the Moreau Lake State Park or are camping here and have any information at all."

This sounds very ominous. What child leaves their bike?. So it sounds they are sure it was in fact an abduction. I read there were alot of people in the area.
