Must have been a typo. Not that I am above, in any way, of using it. I just know I didn't THAT time :giggling:
I have to say while it would normally be hard to believe **** didn't show up for no reason, I read that and read it again before your further posts on it and thought there is no swear word that fits in that spot or sentence, I couldn't make one fit nor have I ever seen you use one in a sentence structure like that or hardly ever where there ends up **. Yep. Another KNOWN sex offender. So hard to believe isn't it? NOT. Why doesn't anyone remember not so many years ago such a thing or that it could happen would be unthinkable, and now everyone just is like blase about what is going on. There isn't even SHOCK any more. Or outrage. They've made it the norm.

Fingerprint on ransom note led to C. S.'s rescue

Nine-year-old C. S. was found alive Monday evening and a suspect in her abduction was arrested after police tracked him to a camper trailer at a property in Milton, according to State Police.

Law enforcement sources had told the Times Union that the suspect, 47-year-old Craig Ross Jr., allegedly left a ransom note at C's parents' house before dawn on Monday — and that fingerprints on that note helped lead to his arrest. Gov. Kathy Hochul confirmed that information late Monday night, saying at a news conference with State Police that Ross had dropped a ransom note in the mailbox at the family's residence around 4:20 a.m. Monday.

State troopers recovered the note after Ross left the area. At about 2 p.m. on Monday, a fingerprint on the note was matched to fingerprints from Ross' arrest in Saratoga Springs in 1999 for driving while intoxicated.

The governor said there is no indication yet that Ross had any connection to the girl's family.

Police raided a number of locations tied to Ross late Monday afternoon, including the mobile home on Barrett Road where his mother lives and the adjacent trailer where C. S. was found. That residence — off Middeline Road — is about 13 miles south of where C. S. lives with her family in Porter Corners, near Corinth.

The governor said a vehicle registration for Ross also listed an address that was a short distance from the residence of S's family.

State Police said that Ross suffered minor injuries when he struggled as he was arrested by a State Police Special Operations Response Team at the Barrett Road residence on Monday evening. An FBI SWAT team assisted in the apprehension and rescue.

The State Police said C. S. was “in good health.” A source said the girl was taken via ambulance to Albany Medical Center Hospital.

C. S. is found in CABINET in camper van owned by her 'abductor' Craig Ross Jr, 47, after he left ransom note in nine year-old's parents' mailbox, triggering SWAT helicopter rescue

A nine-year-old girl who vanished from her family holiday while riding a bike in an upstate New York park was found inside a cabinet in her abductor's camper van.

Craig Ross Jr, 47, was arrested and is currently under questioning. He lived inside a trailer at his mother's property on Barrett Road in Milton, New York.

Police found little C covered up and hidden in a cabinet on Monday afternoon, Gov. Kathy Hochul revealed at a press conference. Hochul said the youngster immediately realized she was being rescued.

Two SWAT teams - one state and one federal - swooped on the property in helicopters, with Ross said to have put up a struggle. He is being questioned and has yet to be charged with a crime, although Hochul says she expects that to follow soon. No mugshot has been released and there is no indication that Ross knew his victim's family.

Ross Jr. drove up to S's parents' home at 4.20am Monday morning and left a ransom note inside their mailbox, Hochul said, which was covered in his DNA and fingerprints. hey weren't home at the time.

At 2.30pm Monday, investigators finally found a match in the database and linked the fingerprints to a DWI arrest made in Saratoga County in the 1999. From there, they swooped on Ross Jr's camper van, arrested him, and found the missing girl.

Cops confirmed Ross Jr is not a registered sex offender, but did not reveal a motive. Earlier reports suggested the suspect taken into custody was a 51 year-old local pedophile who was not named, although that was corrected when the alleged abductor's real identity came to light.

Hmm. So he is not a known sex offender. Sounds like an idiot putting his fingerprints all over a ransom note. ANYONE would know with a missing child and a ransom note that it would be looked at with a fine tooth comb for DNA, prints and more. My guess is he did not recall his fingerprints being taken in a DWI arrest or thought they'd never be able to connect them to such.

They keep saying in this he has no connection to her family as far as they know but they never say no connection to HER or her family. The online thing has crossed my mind once or twice, not leaning towards it but it is a thought. Did she give away the family's plans and more...? Address even? I consider this POSSible. Was he stalking her OR even connecting with her online and she thought him to be someone else? It strikes me that she wanted to take that last ride by herself and that is exactly when and where this happened. Did she have a phone with her, that's never been mentioned. It strikes me he is not from out of the area and even lived near them at one point, etc.

It doesn't have to be online, other possibilities exist. Is there more than one family here? An ex bf of mom, etc. and his family? Who are these "sort of" cousins? OR is her family known to be rich in that someone would do this for ransom? Or was that to throw things off since it wasn't left until Monday wasn't it? Did he get the address out of her after he took her? I'd guess him to be possibly poor if he has to live on mom's property at his age in a trailer.

Just because he isn't a known SO doesn't mean it was not his intent. I pray it wasn't and that at least she did not suffer that. Hiddein in a cabinet though and she knew immediately she was being rescued...

So relieved this had a happy outcome, I wasn't leaning that way at all although I did feel they were onto someone or something, I still did not think she was likely alive.

Thoughts and questions could go on but no time lucky for ya all. Lol.

What is his story... Does he have kds... he is 47 wasn't it? Living on mom's property, former DWI but years ago. Why would you do something like this at this point in your life? Nearing 50. There is no saying he isn't an SO, just not a known one maybe or any saying he isn't some drunken or deranged person but was this happenstance that he ends up being from the area and though they say no connection to the family, something I would think ties this, even if it is just something like he watched or stalked this girl or family, etc...

Oh. Erroneously reported as a sex offender. He couldn't have escalated to this without molesting children IMO. Just he hadn't been caught. You don't just start at 50. My guess is family members.

So he was staying at the camp, it seems.

"In addition to the fingerprints, investigators also analyzed cell phone pings around the park at the time of C's disappearance, Hochul told CNN Monday night. Additional insight came from park records, which contain information about visitors who paid an entrance fee or registered to camp overnight, she said."

I don’t know that he had any ties to the family at all. He might’ve just been looking for prey to do a kidnapping. He could’ve gotten the information about where they live from scaring Charlotte or learning their names from media. It’s not hard to find out where someone lives on the Internet these days. 😕

Or gave her a story about taking her home??? Sure sounds like a crime of opportunity instead of a thought out plan.

C. S.'s family speaks out on daughter’s miraculous rescue

The family of 9-year-old C. S., who was found hiding in a cabinet of a camper belonging to the man accused of kidnapping her, has spoken out for the first time since she was located, saying they are grateful that they were able to bring her home safe.

“We are thrilled that she is home, and we understand that the outcome is not what every family gets,” the S family said in a statement to CBS 6.

“A huge thank you to the FBI, the New York State Police, all of the agencies that were mobilized, all of the families, friends, community, neighbors, and hundreds of volunteers who supported us and worked tirelessly to bring C home.”

I did not know throughout this was in NY state. In fact, I wondered where it was at one point but had no time to look further into it. Have to wonder what his intent was. The ransom could have been a cover, a poor one, to misdirect. He looks a bit "vacant".

I also don't like the news above where it said Charlotte was hiding. I'd assume it more likely he ensured she was HIDDEN. Or "caged' or "controlled".

SWAT kind of thing by helicopter it sounds like. That's a new one o me. It makes me guess they had no way to approach easily without warning but I'd think helicopter noise would have been noticed too.

Whatever the case or answers, I am so happy for her and her family. Can't imagine the trauma she went through. OR her poor family.

More charges expected against suspect in C. S.'s kidnapping as the investigation unfolds, police say

New York investigators say they anticipate additional charges against the man accused of kidnapping 9-year-old C. S. as they dig into the timeline of events between her sudden disappearance and subsequent rescue Monday evening.

Craig Nelson Ross Jr., 46, was arrested and charged with kidnapping C after police say he abducted her from a New York state park over the weekend and tried to ransom her for money, according to court documents.

Authorities are seeking video footage from the hour after C was last seen in Moreau Lake State Park – particularly videos that capture roads leading from the park to the residence where Ross was found with the girl on Monday, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, whose jurisdiction covers the area.

The property where the girl was discovered, which is registered to Ross’ mother, is about a 30-minute drive south of the park, according to a CNN analysis of property records.

Police have held off on immediately interviewing C, who was reunited with her family after a medical check, sources briefed on the investigation told CNN Tuesday. She will eventually be interviewed by specially trained forensic experts who are skilled in questioning young victims and witnesses, the sources said.

The suspect had also not been formally interviewed as of Tuesday afternoon because he invoked his right to counsel after being arrested, the sources told CNN’s John Miller.

Ross was remanded into custody in Saratoga County without bail, state police said. He is expected to appear in court on Friday, court documents show.

EXCLUSIVE: C. S.'s suspected kidnapper Craig Ross suffers from multiple sclerosis and had to move to trailer on mom's property just four weeks ago when symptoms got worse

Suspected kidnapper Craig Ross Jr had recently moved into the trailer where missing C. S.. was found because he was suffering from multiple sclerosis, DailyMail.com can reveal.

The 47-year-old reportedly suffered from the condition so badly that he struggled to get around the property in Porters Corner, New York, and had fallen behind on payments.

Neighbors told DailyMail.com that the 6'4' 275lb father-of-three barely spoke and could often be seen working in his yard.

He moved into the trailer at the rear of his mother's property around a month ago, after the debilitating condition worsened.

Ross, who appeared disheveled in a mugshot released by New York State Police, was described as a 'recluse' who would care for his 11-year-old daughter for half of the week at his $180,000 three-bedroom home.
