Princess Blue has been identified as Julie Gwenn Davis.

(...)"Meanwhile, about 130 miles east of Manvel in Orange, Texas, Danny Davis had just given his DNA to a Texas Ranger, in hopes of finding his sister, Julie Davis, who went missing 33 years ago. The Texas Ranger was investigating the possibility Julie might have been a missing woman found dead in another part of the state.

But when Danny's DNA went into the state database, it matched Princess Blue's DNA. Investigators say with 99.9% certainty, Princess Blue is Julie Davis.

"I'm still trying to process that they found her. That it took so long," Danny told ABC13 over the phone from his home in Orange. "I wouldn't have believed it's her if that detective didn't tell me the DNA matched."

He said he had never heard of the Princess Blue case."

Huntington Beach Jane Doe from 1968 has been identified as Anita Louise Piteau.

She has been known as “Jane Doe” or by the coroner’s code “68-00745-C.” She was raped, killed and dumped out the passenger’s side of a car.

And now, after 52 years, thanks to some slick genealogical work, both the victim and the alleged killer have been identified.

In June, Huntington Beach detectives, using familial DNA analysis, informed a family in Maine that a missing runaway from 1968 was the answer to the oldest Jane Doe homicide case in Orange County.

The woman was identified as Anita Louise Piteau, whose family tree runs through Augusta and Lewiston, Maine. Police on Wednesday, July 22 said they believe she was killed by a man named Johnny Chrisco, who died at age 71 in 2015. Very little is known about him

Wow, that is one interesting read. It is beyond fortunate these answers came. Kudos to all involved. So sad to read what her passed loved ones went through and that they died without answers. What an effort though and so easily this could have never had answers, even now.

A young Olympia, Washington woman who was missing has been identified as remains located on a property while they were doing excavation. :(

I'm glad she has her identity back. Hopefully they will catch the scumbag who did it.

Miss Molly from 1986 has been identified as Robin Ann Green.

The Saline County Sheriff has identified a woman found in a creek along I-70, known only as “Miss Molly,” as 28-year-old Robin Green of Los Angeles.

It has taken 34 years to identify Green and bring closure to her family.

Sheriff Roger Soldan said Green was last seen on Dec. 28, 1985 with Michael Green. He said the couple had been together for some time and had a home together. After 10 years, Green’s ex-husband had her declared dead.

Soldan said the investigation into Green’s death continues.

Her body was found in a creek along Interstate 70 in Saline County on Jan. 25, 1986. She was last seen on Dec. 28, 1985 after visiting family members in Minnesota, according to the sheriff.

Green and her husband had lived in southern California. The house they lived in was seized as part of a drug investigation, according to Soldan.

Robin Green's family made a request that they not identify them. They traveled to Saline County last weekend to visit her grave, according to Soldan.

This is still an open homicide investigation, according to Soldan. Investigators don't know how she came to Kansas.

Chesterfield County Jane Doe from 1986 has been identified as Christy Lynn Floyd.

Police identify remains found at Chesterfield landfill in 1986 as 16-year-old girl

Police have identified human remains found in a Chesterfield landfill in 1986 as a 16-year-old girl after using DNA from a family member of the victim.
Now, investigators are hoping photos of the victim help solve the mystery of how she died.

On Aug. 7, 1986, workers were unloading trash from the School Street transfer station in Richmond at a Chesterfield landfill, when they noticed human remains.
Chesterfield police conducted a thorough search and recovered what appeared to be the remains of a woman. Her cause of death was determined to be a homicide, according to the medical examiner.
Recently, using DNA extractions from the remains, police were able to track down a potential family member who voluntarily provided DNA to compare.
The testing identified the remains as Christy Lynn Floyd, who was 16 years old and lived in the 2300 block of West Grace Street when she disappeared.
Investigators are now releasing photos of Floyd, including one with an unknown male friend, in hopes of finding more information on her death.

Rainbow Falls Jane Doe from 1993 has been identified as Rebecca 'Becky' Redecker.

A body found in the forest nearly 30 years ago has finally been identified as Rebecca “Becky” Redecker, a 20-year-old woman who spent most of her life in Colorado Springs. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating her death and wants to speak to anyone who knew her.

On June 15, 1993, deputies were called to an area between Woodland Park and Deckers in the Pike San Isabel National Forest on a report of a body at a makeshift campsite. Unable to identify the remains, she was buried as Jane Doe at a cemetery in Castle Rock.

“Over the years the case had been looked at several times to see if any new investigative tools may assist in identifying the remains,” the sheriff’s office stated. Back in 2012, investigators unearthed her grave and exhumed her remains to extract DNA. It was entered into a national database, but there were no results. In July 2020, the cold case detective received information that finally lead to her identification.
Undersheriff Holly Nichols was originally assigned to the case in 1993.

“As a new detective in 1993 I had no idea that this case would haunt me for 27 years,” Nichols said during a news conference Thursday. “I’m just so thankful that this part has been solved, that over all of this time there’s now a family that we know this girl belong to, and she is someone she’s no longer are Jane Doe. So thank God for that.”

“Although we now have an identity, we are still actively working a death investigation case,” officials stated. “We are still attempting to gather information from anyone who may have known her.”

Becky went to high school in Manitou Springs from 1985 to 1988 and attended Coronado High School in Colorado Springs in 1989. Detectives want to talk to anyone who knew her and who she may have been spending time with in the summer of 1993.

“I cannot stress enough that if you knew anyone, or you knew Becky, or you had anything connected in Becky’s life, please call our office, and help us identify the suspect, or suspects that were responsible for her death, and leaving her body, in the National Forest, without a name for all these years,” Sheriff Tony Spurlock said Thursday.

The cause of death remains undetermined.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of her killer.
