Clinton Brink, 43, and wife Cristen, 41, were found dead on a walking trail at Devil’s Den State Park in northwestern Arkansas.

Police are now searching for a White male with a medium build, who was seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark pants, a dark ballcap, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack, police said.

The suspect was also seen driving toward a park exit in a black, four-door sedan – possibly a Mazda with tape covering the license plate. The vehicle may have been traveling on State Route 170 or 220, police said.

Maybe, but you will be paying for all, unless they are giving reductions for the closed trails. Most people visit for those trails as the other stuff is pretty common everywhere else IMO.
Do you have a link that shows that most people visit for the trails? Or is that your opinion only? Case in point is the person that gave that interview. They obviously didn't go just for the trails.

Trails are also very common in that area. Even moreso than boating, fishing and swimming. There are literally trails all over that area. That park itself has probably at least a half dozen different ones.

They give no reductions for anything. They make it difficult to get any kind of refund of any kind. All of the amenities usually come with a campsite rental. Otherwise you pay a day pass fee for individual things to do if you aren't camping there.

They probably made they reservations months ago and didn't want to lose the money they paid. A lot of campgrounds offer no refund policy or you get very little back even if you cancel way ahead of time. I get that part for sure.
Well yeah, I get that, but for me personally, I wouldn't want to go there so soon after the murders AND with the perp still being out there somewhere. It's just creepy to me!

Well, we stayed home even though an unsolved murder happened several years ago that was only about a quarter mile away. Was that creepy? We just kept our guard up for a while is all. It was far closer than what happened on those trails to the campground. As far as I know, it still hasn't been solved. I would have been out of my house for years by that criteria.

IMO = in my opinion.

Seeing how he is dressed makes me sweat all by itself. The weather was horrendously hot the last two weeks, full of excessive heat warnings. It also looks like some kind of quilted garmet hanging from him??? I can see long sleeves and pants, but not dark ones like he has. He definitely didn't plan on spending time in the sun, that's for sure. And why would he be carrying what looks like an empty duffel bag AND some kind of backpack that also appears to be empty?

He was definitely up to no good, it looks like and why so many noticed him to get the composite drawing AND a pic.

My post stated IMO. Did you not see that?

These trails are free so they are not losing money by closing them. Some people may just visit for the trails. I agree that the campers and fishermen would still likely come anyway. But having a murderer on the loose is a bit offputting.

Good point. But for me, leaving my home wouldn't be an option so I'd have to "grin and bear it".

Oh WOW! Wouldn't it cause people to look at him - dressed like that? No wonder they have a sketch.

I think being at home is way different than going somewhere on holiday. You can cancel or change a holiday.

Here's a CBS link that appears to have a photo and the DPS link is appealing to the public to share any photos they may have with LE.

The man is wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt with a blue decal, a hat and carrying a black backpack.

Police also shared a composite sketch of the man.

Plus, it's said that the mom got the kids to safety so she evidently had a very bad feeling about what was to happen or was happening. It makes me think that they guy was also saying things to give people the creeps and cause alarm.

In 911 recordings obtained by KNWA and KFTA, an operator was heard saying that first responders "received a call from the visitor’s center, two children are there, they advised that their parents were assaulted" and missing.

"I hear yells calling for help, we’re walking down…," the station also quoted an officer as saying on Saturday.

Oh, I missed what the mom did to get them to safety. I read a few articles and never saw what happened to get them out of there.

It wasn't clear what exactly she did did them. Did she just tell them to run out did she physically get them to safety was not clear. I was scrolling while on hold and now I can't find where I read that to look at it again... Or an article was updated with that info taken out. Either way, I can't find it now to look at it again to double check

I’ll keep an eye out for it. I’ve been curious about it.

I haven’t seen anything that tells exactly how the kids got to safety other than the parents were heroes. All we know is they ended up at the visitor’s center and they witnessed their parent/s being assaulted/stabbed.

Dispatch recordings indicate the couple's two children came to the park's visitor center and told staff their parents had been assaulted on a trail and that one of the parents may have been stabbed. State troopers later found two bodies on a trail, according to radio traffic.

From same link -

EERILY EMPTY

The killings appeared to have turned the usually busy state park into a ghost town, save for the state troopers and park rangers investigating there.

Signs posted at campsites and the visitor's center showed at least seven campsites and one cabin were set to be rented out starting Sunday. However, all the listed campsites were empty around 12:15 p.m. Monday.

Numerous other empty campsites near the Lee Creek and Yellow Rock trailheads had signs posted showing campers were supposed to be checked in. Park cabins appeared to be empty as well. The only person at Devil's Den who was not affiliated with the park or law enforcement sat alone in a lawn chair next to his vehicle and tent at the edge of the park.

Possibly an early reporting error that has no been corrected??? I just remember thinking it seemed like they knew something bad was either happening or getting ready to happen.

I am baffled by the empty or near empty duffel bag while supposedly hiking in 100 degree heat. The black/dark blue (?) clothing only makes me think that he was hiding at night somewhere. Most of the cooling or uv protection clothing I have seen is light in color for obvious reasons. Nobody in their right mind would be wearing what he was wearing in that weather. It makes me wonder what might have been in his bag before the pic was taken. If it did have something in it, it would have been small enough to fit in the backpack he has or in a pocket. The empty or near empty duffel bag makes no sense in normal circumstances.
