Clinton Brink, 43, and wife Cristen, 41, were found dead on a walking trail at Devil’s Den State Park in northwestern Arkansas.

Police are now searching for a White male with a medium build, who was seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark pants, a dark ballcap, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack, police said.

The suspect was also seen driving toward a park exit in a black, four-door sedan – possibly a Mazda with tape covering the license plate. The vehicle may have been traveling on State Route 170 or 220, police said.

I am baffled by the empty or near empty duffel bag while supposedly hiking in 100 degree heat. The black/dark blue (?) clothing only makes me think that he was hiding at night somewhere. Most of the cooling or uv protection clothing I have seen is light in color for obvious reasons. Nobody in their right mind would be wearing what he was wearing in that weather. It makes me wonder what might have been in his bag before the pic was taken. If it did have something in it, it would have been small enough to fit in the backpack he has or in a pocket. The empty or near empty duffel bag makes no sense in normal circumstances.
I thought the empty or near empty duffel was odd. My first thought was it started off empty for nefarious reasons. If it had been packed with camping supplies, tent, etc., then why not leave the empty bag at campsite.

Perhaps he wanted to put his bloody clothes in it? If this was planned, like it seems to have been, it may have been the goal to strip off those bloody, long clothes and stuff them in the bag. It’s going to be easier to leave the park / blend in when you’re just a guy walking along. A lot harder if you’re covered in blood.

And a change of clothes for any eye witnesses that he may encounter.

That's all I can come up with, too. It also makes the dark clothing make more sense because it wouldn't show blood as easily to a casual observer. He was 100% up to no good, whether this particular murder was preplanned or not. He was up to something bad and other people seemed to sense it, too.

And clothes that are not bloody. Even if he had clothes under the dark clothing, blood could seep through to the under layer. If this is the case, it definitely speaks to premeditation. If so, I just wonder if this couple was his intent or just random.

Either way, the guy is a HUGE threat to society and they need to catch him NOW.

He definitely pre planned the "up to no good" part from the start with the license plate taped over. I sure hope they can find his car before or after that has an image of the tape removed. He surely wasn't going to drive very far with taped up license plates. That is a sure fire way to get you pulled over.

Authorities believe that the murderer was likely injured during the attack.

I hadn't seen this before!
My guess is a cut from the knife. Most likely on his hand from slippage, but he also could have sliced or stabbed himself while using the knife on others. Hopefully it means that his victims caused his injuries though. 🤞

I wonder if the duffel bag contained the knife used. That would make sense for the look of something with a little weight to it in the bag without any bulk to make the bag look like it contained much. It doesn't appear to be "fluffy" enough to contain a change of clothes unless it was a possibly a pair of lightweight shorts and lightweight tshirt.

I finally got to where I was able to download the image to post for those that can't access fb, like me, usually. I'm not sure if the quilted material I see clearly on my big screen shows up on this image that is hanging from his waist. Quilted material in 100+ weather makes absolutely no sense in an innocent format here. Then add the dark clothing, empty bag AND the taping over of his license plates and this guy planned on mayhem of some sort to start with. Definitely preplanned "something" bad.

It's no wonder his sleeves were rolled up! He had to have been sweltering!

Early on it was reported that he was wearing dark shorts, dark tank top, and weight-lifting gloves. That is very different from what we see in the photo.

Did they get it that wrong? Or did he change?

The picture we see could be a still from a go-pro. I don’t know how many people would snap a picture of a random person. I don’t think i would do that.

The only thing i can think of is that his bag is empty because he is a thief and steals from campers and campsites and he can conceal his stolen stuff in it. Could be why his reg number is taped over too.
