???? If the parents were telling people in Bakersfield that two of the foster kids were "given back", that may have been when this started. Trying to explain why they now only had 4 kids instead of 6.
That could be. These were made to sound like adolescent boys who were smoking weed, said the adopted dad was mean and they snuck out on rare occasion when they coud. So now it has people questioning if there were 8 kids or if the 2 fosters were the ones it was said were the other 2 adopted, etc. and they were down to 4 which would now put them down to 2 if that was the case. All it did was confuse everything. It seems like very interview or video put out has something difficult to understand in it or that is not CLEAR. The same woman said that the grandmother also had adopted children or maybe it was foster and at one other point it was confusing whether she was talking about the mother or grandmother...

If that wasn't all or bad enough, it was also said the father was wearing some kind of monitor I don't recall on his stomach or some such and now everyone is speculating that it is a police/LE monitor! At least two LE officers (retired) who have videos said they doubted it and have never heard of such a thing. It makes no sense to me but some people are taking it and running with it...

a monitor on the stomach sounds more like an insulin pump to me

Polygraph test was requested from missing California City boys adoptive parents, officials confirm

Authorities confirm that a polygraph test was requested from Trezell and Jaqueline West, the adoptive parents of the toddler brothers reported missing in California City on Dec. 21.

Cal City Police Chief Jon Walker confirmed the Wests were asked to take the test, the day after the couple reported 3-year-old Orson and 4-year-old Orrin West missing.

In the search for those answers, here's what authorities have done so far in the case, according to Walker.
  • Excavated the parents backyard, to make sure the boys weren't buried underneath
  • Used search dogs which found the scent of the boys inside the home, but not outside as they were reported to be before disappearing
  • Used cadaver dogs inside the home -- no scent of human remains detected.
  • Search warrant used to collect items from the home, including adoptive parents cell phones, ipads and other electronic devices. Phones have since been returned.
  • Adoptive parents van tested with luminol - no indication of blood found.
  • Spoke neighbors in the area. No positive ID of any of the Wests 6 children. Walker says the family only moved to California City in September. They previously lived in Bakersfield.
  • Searched adoptive parents previous properties in Bakersfield
  • Searched former Saddle Ranch Resort property
According to Walker, the last time the boys were seen by anyone other than the Wests was by their grandmother in Bakersfield. Walker was unable to comment on when that occurred.

Before that, Walker said someone other than family also saw the boys in Bakersfield. Walker was unable to comment on that date as well.

Interesting.

Ways to not have blood in the van. One I can think of is drowning or taking them somewhere and then doing something. Another would be as sad as I am to say it, what is disposal like at the apartments? Dumpsters outside or in? Using another vehicle is another possibility. Or loading them in the vehicle in such a way luminol would not show blood. It says the phones have been returned but does not mention the vehicle being returned. I wonder if luminol is all they did with or are doing with the vehicle...

If they have their phones back, has Jacqueline provided more current pictures to the media etc.? She said she couldn't because they were all on her phone and she did not have it... Or on their phones even...

Interesting that no mention of not only neighbors but no family ever visiting or able to confirm apparently the boys being in Cali City.

Finally, I think if they passed a polygraph test that would likely be shared or the adopted parents themselves would say so. That tells me it was failed or one wasn't taken...

Just thoughts.

Yeah, I don't know. I don't see though someone not under arrest ever having a monitor from LE right? It makes no sense to me why anyone would think that.
courts are what usually require monitors being used around here, anyway. I've never heard of anybody having one that hasn't been ordered after a court appearance.

Hello everyone....
I have a question about the dogs mentioned in this statement. If they had "any dog we could think of" in that house, there must have been a tracking dog(s) so where did the dog(s) track to? And, another question...if the dog(s) found no trace of the boys in or outside of the house, what articles of clothing was used for scent and just whom did the articles/items belong to? If whatever was used for scent didn't belong to the boys, it's no wonder the dogs found nothing.
:welcome: to the planet!

I’ve had the opportunity to talk to dog handlers And they told me there’s different kinds of search dogs. There’s the kind that are after a fugitive and they are quite aggressive, and then there’s the kind that search for a live person, and then there’s cadaver dogs. I hope that answers one of your questions. There might be other dogs to that I don’t know about but those are the three that I’ve discussed with dog handlers.

Thanks for your response. I went back and again read everyones's posts and am now wondering most of all, why report them missing on that particular day? What was it that was about to happen that necessitated such an elaborate story? Were they about to have to account for those boys to someone in authority? Such an odd timing..right before Christmas. Even if the bio mom wanted to give them Christmas presents, they could have just refused.
I think there was a trigger, too. I also think part of the plan was to report them missing in California City where it would be more difficult for their family and friends.

There are people that are saying $1,000 per child and I wondered where they got it. It also was said they had four adopted children but then something a neighbor said has people wondering about that, more confusion, but that is what we initially heard and I think it is true.

I don't know what happened but I do think if money is motive rather than affection for the child it could be a lost temper or abuse or they quite simply thought they could keep anyone from realizing they were gone, couldn't handle them or did not want them. The adopted dad's describing them as rambunctious bothers a lot of people and it does me as well. The adopted parents were just odd and it seemed, emotionless. Of course this is speculation and jmo.
I’ve often wondered about the dad calling them rambunctious. It just seems weird.

I wish he would’ve said the date the grandmother saw them in Bakersfield.

Here is the full 45 minute interview. It came about later last night. Worth watching. Also the reporter was on Duty Ron before releasing this if I have it right and shared some things and other info with questions asked. That show was previous to this one. That was a good show as well with a few guest on it and then the reporter came on partway into it.

:thankyou: i’ll have to watch that soon!

When he answers that question in the interview, refusing to give the dates that the grandmother or neighbor last saw them, he makes some remark trying to give the reason about not wanting people to speculate based on the dates like well they saw them this date but not the next or something like that, he was not quite as smooth with that answer as some. It left me feeling, and I could be wrong, that it was some time ago. I get the impression no one has seen them since they moved to Cali City, not even family, in fact he basically says that I think in the interview.

I had a feeling those two boys never made it to California City. If that’s true, This case might change jurisdictions.

The cops were back to the Cali City house. It is said it was for statistical data and they were in the yard and by the gate. Let's hope they are documenting their file and getting ready for an arrest. Supposedly they were also doing drone photos of the yard, etc.

As with everything, some stations and commenters are running with it. I saw one commenter on this video call it a RAID in capital letters. So tired of the overhype in the case.

Also there has been a human trafficking bust in Bakersfield, a big one, involving a motel. People are also running wild with that. I think it is more likely young adults and possibly teens (just guessing) and unlikely to be children but again, it is growing into a life of its own out there already.

Here is a sane video about the further Cali City house visit/warrant. It happened not too long ago.

Personally, I would trust what Duty Ron says because of the work I've done with NYPD. When he stated this is most likely background data requested by the FBI, he is absolutely correct. To build a legal case, every aspect has to be documented thoroughly prior to presenting a case to a PA or DA.

Thank you for posting this video!

That's why I posted his. He doesn't do sensational like some. He will give opinion on guilt and such but he sticks to the truths. He has grown on me, I've always liked him but some shows of his, like anyone's shows, I am more into than others. He has been bringing good guests on a lot too with a lot of experience and those have been really good and last night the reporter named Bayan came on the show, the one who interviewed the Chief in this case and so we got some extra before it was all released so that was awesome.

I was watching Linda when Ron came on and I had to decide which one to watch live lol. I headed to Ron because although she is good, it was mostly just going over things.

Yes, I figure this is pretty standard what they are doing but do hope it is because the case is moving forward and they are completing parts of the file/case.
