To start. I have always found Serial Killers fascinating. What makes them do what they do?. I know I am not the only one. This is the place to talk about it. I'll start. Who do you find the most fascinating and why?.

That's the problem. Twelve people were convinced enough that Echols did it. We can never really know. I know there seems to be obvious cases, but not as many as you'd think. The police have framed people in the past, and I'm sure it's still happening.
The ones I am thinking of and come to mind. No. They are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Echols was circumstantial. He definitely was an easy target. Along with the other 2.

Wow, I didn't know that. I guess it makes sense, it makes it clear to all they are nowhere near the patient and everyone did as they were supposed to.

I think medical power of attorneys have changed things a lot. At least if someone has one, it is harder for a family to argue whether to end life support or not as they have the patient's wishes.
With the DNR order no one was allowed to try to bring my Mom back. Same with my Grandmother. DNR. Do not resuscitate.

:catfight: MOVE! I'm watching that!!!

I think heroic actions covers it all and DNR is in there. Heroic would also cover probably like tube feeding, life support, etc., not just resuscitation. If I recall correctly.
That's probably true. It's usually used for a code. My Mom also did not want life support. Either did we. That was covered by a "Living Will". Wishes given by a Patient when they are alive and of sound mind "In the event of".

Yes, Living Will, that's the other term I was trying to think of, not just Medical POA. I think you can pick and choose which things as well you would want, or at least I think it was that way. Either no heroic efforts or "this but not that, for instance, or only if this".

I remember that one. When it hit the news I was fascinated. Don't remember much detail, but remember the story. :panic:
This was just a quick clip but the details are gory enough. They also think she may have been responsible for more murders than they know about. I believe it said she is in a mental hospital locked up and closely watched...

I never heard about this one before! I wonder if there's a count of serial killers out there. I don't want to know!
I don't remember it either. I think just the Russian fact and a female and a granny would be memorable so I am pretty sure it is a first for me hearing it. In fact, we don't hear of much Russian crime in our own news do we? Not this kind of thing anyhow.
