A Turquoise Alert has been issued for an 8-year-old girl reported missing from Coalmine, Arizona, located on the Navajo Nation.Maleeka “Mollie” Boone was reportedly last seen between 4 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 15. She was playing in the Coalmine NHA Housing Area, according to the Navajo Police Department. She has not been seen since.
"Her family is concerned for her welfare since it is out of character for her to be gone for an extended period of time," Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say.
Coconino County Sheriff’s Office says it is assisting the Navajo Nation “through a coordinated, multi-disciplinary response that leverages search and rescue teams, criminal investigation detectives, CERT teams, and patrol deputies, along with advanced technology.”
Turquoise Alert issued for missing 8-year-old Native American girl
Another Turquoise Alert has been issued in Arizona, as Navajo Police look for an 8-year-old girl who was last seen on the night of Jan. 15.
According to officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, 8-year-old Maleeka "Mollie" Boone was last seen, on foot, at around 6:00 p.m. on Cedar Loop in the Coalmine NHA housing area in Coalmine.
"She is believed to be wearing a red jacket, blue jeans and cowboy boots. She has not been seen or heard from since," read a portion of DPS's statement. "Her family is concerned for her welfare since it is out of character for her to be gone for an extended period of time."
