They are pretty sure what happened and who is involved, but not enough evidence to pursue it.

Yes, it drives ME crazy , and I am not even involved in any way. They are in a kind of dead end street. My only hope would be some kind of third party who one of the perps confided into. And I know that this is not very likely to happen. :( She needs to come home...

I just finished reading all of this and watching the video. How sad and what a beautiful girl.

I don't understand why a few things took so long. It seems like her cell phone and email accounts could have been accessed sooner but I guess if she was 18 and they were not sure if she took off on her own, maybe it is not that easy...?

They seem to know who she was with, whose cell phone her cell phone was with and more. Did they search any of these vehicles or the residences i wonder?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Cameron, Mo., residents are among five defendants who have pleaded guilty to their roles in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Benjamin W. Clark, 26, of Cameron, pleaded guilty today before U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge Matt J. Whitworth to the charge contained in a Nov. 16, 2017, federal indictment.

Clark is the fifth defendant to plead guilty to participating in the drug-trafficking conspiracy. Co-defendant Jalie J. Brinlee, 28, of Cameron, pleaded guilty on Jan. 4, 2019. Co-defendants Felicia C. Ward, 23, of Cameron; Robert J. Keegan, 26, of Harrisonville, Mo.; and Frank E. Hundley, 34, of Kansas City, Mo.; pleaded guilty on Dec. 28, 2018. Brinlee and Keegan also pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime.

All five of the co-defendants admitted they participated in a conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine from January to May 24, 2017. Clark and Brinlee purchased methamphetamine from various suppliers and distributed it to customers in Cameron, Kansas City and elsewhere.

On May 12, 2017, Keegan was stopped by law enforcement and was found in possession of a Hi-point .40-caliber handgun and a duffel bag containing approximately 3.8 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Very good read.

The Missing on ID searches for teenagers Tara Calico and Desirea Ferris

The Missing is exploring the cases of two missing teenagers, who both vanished without a trace or reason leaving their families grasping for answers.

Desirea Ferris was expected home for her mom’s birthday celebrations in Liberty, Missouri; however, she never came home. She was last seen three years ago with two men in the Kansas City area, but there has been no sign of the teenager since then.

On May 1, 2017, Desirea left her home in Liberty, MO, and was never seen again. She was supposed to return home later that afternoon for her mother’s birthday celebrations, but the family raised the alarm when they still hadn’t heard anything from her the following day.

Desirea’s social media and cellphone activity suddenly went quiet at about 4 am on May 2. Her cellphone pinged off a tower about 20 miles south of Liberty in independence at around the same time.

The Liberty police dept. believe that two men were seen with her before she vanished and one of those men is currently in federal prison; however, he has invoked his right to stay silent.

Desirea was 18 years old when she went missing, was 5 foot 1, and weighed about 100 lbs; she had brown hair and brown eyes. She has a 1 and a half-inch scar on her left forearm and a birthmark on her stomach.

Ther is an award of up to $12,500 for any information which will lead to her whereabouts. Anyone with any information on the case is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

I didn't see this posted here and there might be a reason, not trying to violate any rules. This podcast is a little long and over a year old but host does interview step mother and touches on some things you don't hear in the news clips.

I have about 40 minutes left of this. It is very long but I will say the interviewer/podcaster is excellent, asks all pertinent questions, keeps things in a flowing order and the stepmom as well answers very coherently and completely in response to the questions. And other than the first few minutes of naming ads and sponsors, it has flowed without any interruption at all.

I am stopping to take a break, I will continue to watch it and at some point watch the one below but some observations thus far.

So we know we have drugs and it appears to be maybe some big time dealing with all of the be-bopping around...? Desiree and sister picked up very early, predawn hours even for a day out? Not throwing shade on victims, just wondering was this to avoid mom seeing them leave or what were the day's activities? It sounds like that day too they were place to place all over the area too and perhaps drug dealing or drops? I mean I don't know, I am wondering. Then we have the truck registered to a man who it sounds like is a sugar daddy to some young girl who is friends to the men. It sounds like a ring/bunch who has no vehicles registered in their own names to me... Truck is found in basically a chop shop hidden... What IS this group? It sounds like a pretty big criminal ring of different activities... We have at minimum drugs (arrests prove that), chop shops and a sugar daddy and a whole lot of quick stops at various places all day and even the next for the guy after Desi seems to go off grid...

I did not realize Desiree and her sister have such an age gap. I would like to know if it was common for the sister to go with Desiree on this type of day. Did she know these people too previously or just Desiree? Those answers seem to be something maybe LE and no one else knows. Why did she come home but not Desiree who is far younger? Again, no shade thrown there, I just would like to know what happened, I am guessing Desiree wanted to stay, just wish we knew...

One has to wonder if only two were in the vehicle, there really is no way to know. And Desiree's call to a female friend that was by video confirms she was alive at like 2:09. I do wonder if they are positive of this person's testimony and that she actually saw her alive and well, if she is connected to the others, it could be just a claim or "alibi"... Even someone else using her phone... I figure though it is likely true... If it is though, it is less than two hours and something goes wrong where she was posting, talking by video, etc. and all seemed fine up to about 4 a.m.? I guess there is no way to know she died at 4ish but it was when her phone and social media went dead, she could have fallen asleep, but the stepmom said it is confirmed her phone did not die but was shut off or broken...

Just speculation but when I hear about a sugar daddy of a girl owning the truck, and that girl lends the truck out to this guy who has Desi in it, I think of Desi at 18 and think we may have a prostitution ring here as well but also where the sugar daddy thing is done but the men are involved and possibly collect and benefit from it as well? Including driving trucks from this particular sugar daddy? I don't generally lean towards trafficking in cases but it is a possibility here I guess, they clearly are running other things or so it appears...

It was not dwelled on but I also caught the stepmom said Desi had only recently turned 18.... That to me, for just stated in passing, I think could mean something... Past jail bait age for one... As far as like a sugar daddy thing, a minor could be an issue with that in some cases... Also an age where no one can make her come home, although I don't believe she left willingly, at least not for this long of a time for sure.

I don't know, just all thoughts on watching this podcast so far... I thought I would mention them before I go further and forget as it is a long podcast. Apparently these were not just some bad boy area guys, but something bigger although I would not call them especially bright as two are in prison at the moment...

The sister may not know what happened after she left of course, but she has to know all about the guys, what they do, of course what they all did that day, etc. I imagine. Normally with that kind of age gap, your circles of friends would typically be different than that of your way younger sister. Both went very early from home together picked up... Again, no shade but clearly her knowledge is being hushed by LE for some reason... And they possibly asked her to stay silent as well... I have no suspicion there at all, I would just wish we knew more.

All jmo.

Desirea Ferris' family dedicates Christmas tree in honor of missing daughter

A tree at Jesse James Park has been decorated in Desirea Ferris' favorite color – pink – in hopes that it will act as a guiding light to bring her home.

This will be the fourth holiday season Ferris' family will spend without their daughter, who went missing on May 2, 2017.

"Everybody else's tree is Christmas colors, but Desi's is bright pink, so it kind of draws attention to her and her name," Ferris' sister, Sydney Wood, said. "Her name out there is what we want so nobody ever forgets her."
