Clinton Brink, 43, and wife Cristen, 41, were found dead on a walking trail at Devil’s Den State Park in northwestern Arkansas.

Police are now searching for a White male with a medium build, who was seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark pants, a dark ballcap, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack, police said.

The suspect was also seen driving toward a park exit in a black, four-door sedan – possibly a Mazda with tape covering the license plate. The vehicle may have been traveling on State Route 170 or 220, police said.

Thats only 3 facts. So its not all in here then if we don't know how she was killed.

Re the taped over licence plate- they said plate not plates. I figured if he had come from a state that required two plates one front and one rear and Arkansas is one plate requirement, it could be something like that. Again we don't know. They certainly found it quickly.
So like i said, there's a lot we don't know. This will change hopefully now they have the perp in custody.

ETA Arkansas only require rear plates.

Plate vs plates is irrelevant in this instance. He covered them/it on purpose for nefarious reasons. I seriously doubt he even had Arkansas plates yet. He hadn't even started working in Arkansas quite yet. Hired, but hadn't actually started so I doubt he had moved there long ago and he came from out of state, where he also hadn't stayed long. We have no idea what state his car was registered in. I don't think that has been reported on yet..

It’s a great bargaining tool.

I was once called for jury duty on what I assumed was a death penalty case. I received a very lengthy questionnaire on my feelings and opinions on the death penalty. I used to wholeheartedly and in theory still do support the death penalty. When faced with the reality that I could be chosen to dole out that sentence, I knew in my heart that it would be a near impossible thing for me to do. I was never so thankful for a flood that canceled court that week. And the case moved on to the next potential set of jurors.

I would need to be 1000% sure the person was guilty. Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer wouldn't have been a hard decision for me.

Not sure if this link has already been posted but the part i have copied specifically relates to his school experience 2022-2025.

3 years/3 states/3 schools = alarm bells IMO.

McGann had recently moved to the area from Oklahoma and had been hired to work at a local school, officials said.

He was hired to teach in the Springdale Public Schools district this upcoming school year but had not yet begun employment, according to the district's superintendent, Jared Cleveland.
"This individual has not at any time come into contact with Springdale students or the families we serve," Cleveland said in a statement, adding that no additional information is available at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
"Our entire team extends our deepest condolences to the Brink family. Their children are especially in our thoughts and prayers," he said.

McGann was a fifth grade teacher in Broken Arrows, Oklahoma, during the 2023-2024 school year, the school district said. He passed required background checks, a Broken Arrow Public Schools spokesperson said.
The prior school year, he was employed at an elementary school in Flower Mound, Texas, the Lewisville Independent School District confirmed. He was placed on administrative leave in the spring of 2023 "following concerns related to classroom management, professional judgment, and student favoritism," and he ultimately resigned, the school district said.
"An internal investigation found no evidence of inappropriate behavior with students," the school district added.

Asked about a motive in the double homicide, Hagar said it remains under investigation, though he did say it appeared to be a "completely random event."
"We have no reason to believe that there was any known association between our suspects and our victims," Hagar said.
