Clinton Brink, 43, and wife Cristen, 41, were found dead on a walking trail at Devil’s Den State Park in northwestern Arkansas.

Police are now searching for a White male with a medium build, who was seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark pants, a dark ballcap, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack, police said.

The suspect was also seen driving toward a park exit in a black, four-door sedan – possibly a Mazda with tape covering the license plate. The vehicle may have been traveling on State Route 170 or 220, police said.

Prosecuting attorney Brandon Carter said he does not plan to waive the death penalty in the case.

"This case certainly has the aggravators that exist where a jury should get to decide what the punishment for this defendant is," Carter said. "And it is my intention to pose that to the jury."

Last execution carried out in Arkansas was in 2017.

If they’re going for the death penalty, he will definitely plead not guilty and then say that he was coerced into admitting guilt.

To me that's not using it if it's nearly 10 years since the last one and you've had multiple people on death row in the meantime.
When you live on the West Coast, it makes it sound recent. In our state, the prior governor had all of their sentences commuted. In essence, we are a death penalty state, but there’s really no death penalty here.

That's exactly my point. Why have it if you don't use it? Total waste of taxpayer dollars since it costs more to house those on death row than lifers.

And then they were both murdered or husband was already dead and she was then murdered? Definitely premeditated if so.
It was definitely premeditated when he covered his license plates.

She was a nurse, so it is understandable that she would go back to render aid, especially to her family, no?

We do not know if he was already dead when she returned, do we? I sure haven't seen anything regarding that.

When states don't carry it out, I'm not sure why they even use it.
It’s a great bargaining tool.

I was once called for jury duty on what I assumed was a death penalty case. I received a very lengthy questionnaire on my feelings and opinions on the death penalty. I used to wholeheartedly and in theory still do support the death penalty. When faced with the reality that I could be chosen to dole out that sentence, I knew in my heart that it would be a near impossible thing for me to do. I was never so thankful for a flood that canceled court that week. And the case moved on to the next potential set of jurors.

I'm exactly right there. I'm for it... To a certain extent. My state uses it but also refuses to stay on it for those that have been proven not guilty of the crime as charged and go ahead with the execution for political gain. I sunny think I could actually send somebody to death row unless there is just no way the person was innocent of a horrendous crime.

Didn't President Biden commute a lot too when he departed the Presidency?

No the detail is not great about that. Do we even know COD? Knife was it ? Or gun or both?

What detail is not great? it has all been documented and posted on here in articles and in the presser.
Fact -she's a nurse
Fact- he covered his license plates with duct tape
Fact - he was stabbed in the chest.I haven't seen how she was killed.

Thats only 3 facts. So its not all in here then if we don't know how she was killed.

Re the taped over licence plate- they said plate not plates. I figured if he had come from a state that required two plates one front and one rear and Arkansas is one plate requirement, it could be something like that. Again we don't know. They certainly found it quickly.
So like i said, there's a lot we don't know. This will change hopefully now they have the perp in custody.

ETA Arkansas only require rear plates.
