Three missing girls in Wenatchee found dead, father still missing​

Three missing girls in the Wenatchee area were found dead, according to the Wenatchee Police Department.

According to the police department, police responded to reports of a civil complaint when the mom of three young girls reported that her daughters did not return after a planned visitation with their father.

Police said Decker was believed to be living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup, which was last seen heading west on Highway 2 from Wenatchee on May 30.

WSP was contacted Friday night for an Amber Alert request, but Wenatchee Police said it did not meet the required criteria, and an Endangered Missing Person Alert was issued.

Law enforcement eventually found Decker's car unoccupied near the Rock Island Campground.

Other officers searched the immediate area and found the bodies of the three missing girls.

Decker is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. Police do not know if Decker is currently armed, but he may still pose a significant risk, according to police.

It's kind of a no brainer that when he hears a helicopter, etc. in an area he is in, he is going to hide, hole up, change routes maybe, or plans. Imo.

A five year effort, well that's great. Yet it makes sense it would one day be something like that. One would HOPE he won't be on the loose that long but pretty hard to say. I don't think they really have any way of knowing he isn't dead other than if sightings but he does not strike me as the type, unless maybe down to a showdown.

Not great food if you can't have a fire. But he's a survivalist supposedly. Hard to say what he has with too or if he prepared anything, even perhaps hiding it.

There are special foods that you can buy that heat up themselves when you open the packet. I am not sure how they work exactly but i have seen them. This time of year he will probably just eat cold items anyway.

Also, they may change to searching with drones that aren't as noisy or expensive as helis.

MRIs. They have a packet that you add water to and the chemical reaction gets HOT. They are pretty expensive though and not the easiest thing to just run across in the wild.

Kittitas County law enforcement officials said there is “no certain evidence” Travis Decker is alive or in the area, as the search for the man accused of killing his three daughters enters its fourth week.

Strong leads at the beginning of the month poured in, but those tips have not been successful, the sheriff’s office said Monday.

“Still, we can’t and won’t quit this search; Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia Decker deserve justice,” the sheriff’s office said. “And Decker remains a danger to the public as long as he’s at large.”

Some of the resources used in the vast search for Decker are being “redirected” to locate and recover Decker “if he died in the rugged wilderness during this intense search — a possibility that increases every day.”

The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office said it is focused on protecting the community, preparing to capture and arrest Decker if he comes to the area, and coordinating with the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office during the search.

Residents in the area will continue to see a large law enforcement presence in the area. The U.S. Marshals Service is working to find Decker if he left Washington state.

Yes MRE. He could likely have had a supply of them as he was in the military and lived in the armoury for a while. He is also possibly raiding cabins. I just hope they catch him or find him dead soon.
