Police are continuing to appeal to the public for assistance as investigations into a 17-year-old-girl reported missing from Bundaberg continue.

The girl, pictured, was last seen at Airport Drive, Bundaberg around 8.30am on May 15.

She did not check in for a booked flight and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police have conducted a land search of Airport Drive and the surrounding areas today, May 19, but have not located the girl or any personal belongings.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

The girl is described as approximately 180cm, pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.

She was last seen carrying luggage and wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants.

Two crime scenes set up, car seized after 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop suspiciously vanishes without a trace from Bundaberg, Queensland

Police have declared two major crimes scenes and are treating the disappearance of a teenage girl as "suspicious" after she failed to board a scheduled flight from regional Queensland over a week ago.

Phoebe Bishop, 17, was last seen at Airport Drive, Bundaberg about 8.30am on Thursday, May 15.

Police said the teen had not been heard from since she failed to check in for her booked flight.

Following investigations police declared a property in Gin Gin, where Phoebe was living prior to her disappearance, as a crime scene.

Police have also seized a grey Hyundai ix35 believed to be the car Phoebe travelled to Airport Drive in and declared the vehicle a crime scene.

Detectives are appealing to the public for dashcam and CCTV footage of the grey Hyundai ix35 with Queensland registration 414EW3, near the Airport Drive and Samuels Road area in Bundaberg, and also the Gin Gin area on May 15.

Investigations into the teen's suspicious disappearance remain ongoing.

On Tuesday Acting Police Inspector Ryan Thompson revealed, Phoebe was dropped off at the airport by ''associates'', but never made it to her flight.

"We're still working together to piece together her movements on that day," Insp Thompson said.

Police conducted a land search of Airport Drive and the surrounding areas on Monday, but were unsuccessful in finding Phoebe or any of her belongings.

Insp Thompson added police would continue investigations for as “long as it takes” to locate the missing girl.

Phoebe's family have described the disappearance as "out of character" with her heartbroken mother Kylie Johnson regularly posting on social media in an attempt to reach her daughter.

"We as a family are holding onto every bit of hope that our daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and imperative member of our family comes home soon," Ms Johnson wrote on Facebook on Wednesday morning.

She also thanked Queensland Police for their "intensive work" on her daughter's disappearance and the community for their support in searching riverbanks and bushland near the airport.

The teen's family put up about 400 posters across Bundaberg, Bargara, Childers, Biggenden and surrounding areas to find her.

So mom says it is out of character for daughter. However, "associates" dropped her at the airport and that home and the car have been said to be crime scenes. When I first started reading I wondered why her folks did not ensure a minor checked in, boarded, and got on the plane. It would seem she perhaps did not even live at home? And WTH are associates...? Was mom even aware of the trip or in favor of it?? I don't know how it can be called out of character for her if she was not even living at home for the mom to know what was in character for her lately.

Police declare crime scenes a week after teenager failed to check in for flight from Bundaberg

The search for a missing Queensland teenager is intensifying after her disappearance five days ago.

Phoebe Bishop, 17, had been booked to travel to Western Australia via Brisbane last Thursday to visit her boyfriend but she never checked in for her flight at Bundaberg Airport.

Police are currently treating the disappearance as suspicious but detectives are investigating all scenarios.

"It's out of character for her not to make any contact with anyone," Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson said.

Police said her housemates were the last to see her when they said they dropped her outside Bundaberg Regional Airport at 8.30am.

"Police have reviewed CCTV from the airport, which indicates that she did not enter the terminal," Thompson said.

"We're quite confident that Phoebe didn't make it to the airport."

The housemates' grey Hyundai ix35 with registration 414EW3 has been seized by police and declared a crime scene.

The movements of that car last Thursday have formed a crucial part of the police investigation.

"That's why we're appealing for dash cam footage and also any businesses in the airport drive and that commercial area out towards the airport," Thompson said.

A house in Gin Gin, where the 17-year-old lived with a couple, is also a crime scene.

Neighbours told 9News several dead dogs have been removed from the property.

"Anything at that house will be forming part of our investigation," Thompson said.

They are being VERY confusing with her living situation. First "associates" dropped her off. Next she went to visit her bf and housemates dropped her off, plus now she lived with a couple and that has been described a crime scene.

'Phee we love you': Search for missing Queensland girl continues

Pheobe's mother Kylie Johnson has launched another plea on social media for any information about her daughter.

"Phee we love you more than you could imagine and we're praying that you come home," she posted on Facebook.

The teen's disappearance has been deemed suspicious as police probe the out-of-character incident.

"We do hold concerns for her safety," Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson told reporters yesterday.

"It has been nearly a week since she was last sighted and it's out of character for her not to make any contact with anyone."

Detectives remain hopeful Pheobe is still alive as the investigation combs through her last movements.

"Just because we are deeming this suspicious doesn't mean ... anything sinister has happened," Thompson said.

Top criminologist Xanthe Mallett speaks about missing teen Pheobe Bishop, 17, after multiple bombshell twists

Criminologist Xanthe Mallett said police appeared very concerned for the teen’s welfare, as she discussed the latest developments with Sunrise host Nat Barr on Thursday.

“Certainly, they are concerning developments,” Mallett said.

“It is unusual for the police to declare a crime scene at a (missing) person’s home. They would obviously go there and search for clues as to where they may be ... but they are very concerned for Phoebe’s welfare at this stage.”

Barr pressed Mallett on reports the teenager was seen arguing with the driver of the Hyundai.

Mallett said: “That’s very significant, because that may well be the last known sighting of Pheobe before she vanished.

“They will certainly be trying to plot the time between when the car left the property and when she vanished.

“They will be looking for witnesses that can corroborate anybody’s movements, especially those people who may have been the last to see her or (the) last known to have seen her.

“(They will be) talking to as many people as possible, trying to figure out in the days and weeks and hours leading up to Pheobe’s disappearance, who was with her.”

Bishop’s bank account has also not been accessed since she was reported missing.

Bishop’s mother has been pleading for help on social media to find her missing daughter.

“This is really worrying for the family and my heart goes out to them,” Mallett said.

“I’ve seen some of the social media posts and I really wish the police could provide better news a week on.

“But this is very suspicious.

“This is not a young woman who would normally disappear without speaking to her family. I’m very concerned for her as are the police.”

Yeah, this is not good. I am really, really hoping that she just decided to take a break! It has happened before.

Flatmates of missing teen Pheobe Bishop identified

One of the flatmates of missing teen Pheobe Bishop, 17, is currently facing three unrelated weapons charges, having appeared at Bundaberg Magistrates Court in March 28.

Bishop lived with Tanika Bromley and James Wood at a derelict property in Gin Gin, about 50km west of Bundaberg, which has since been declared a crime scene.

Bromley and Wood are believed to be in a relationship.

Bromley, who is an independent support worker, was charged after she was allegedly discovered with a shotgun and a flick knife while on the Capricorn Highway in Emerald, Queensland.

She is facing three charges, which include, unlawful possession of a sawn-off shotgun and without reasonable excuse to possess a short firearm; unlawful possession of a category M flick knife; and unlawful possession of a knife in a public place or school.

Bromley was due back in court on June 23.

Police said the couple had been co-operating with them following Bishop’s disappearance.

There is no suggestion either Wood or Bromley are involved in the teenager’s disappearance.

Desperate search for missing Queensland teen Pheobe Bishop pushes into remote bushland

Amid growing fears for her safety, police widened their search on Friday for missing teen Pheobe Bishop, who vanished after failing to board a flight last week.

Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson from Queensland Police Service (QPS) confirmed that the search has now expanded to cover a broader area, including Gin Gin and the nearby Goodnight Scrub National Park.

“Obviously as time goes by, police have greater concerns as to her disappearance,” Thompson said.

“There’s no specific persons of interest.

“However, police are following up all avenues of inquiry.”

Bishop had been living with two housemates, Tanika Bromley and James Wood, at a derelict property in Gin Gin, about 40 minutes west of Bundaberg.

That property has now been declared a crime scene.

Bromley and Wood, who are believed to be in a relationship, have been cooperating with police.

Authorities have emphasized that there is no suggestion either is involved in Pheobe’s disappearance.

Specialist firefighters, SES crews, and police have been searching remote dirt tracks near Good Night, deploying drones to scan dense scrub and creek beds.

The investigation, led by Bundaberg’s child protection and crime teams, now includes officers from the homicide unit.

Thompson noted that police have spoken to numerous individuals connected to the case and are receiving a significant amount of information.

When asked about Pheobe’s family, Thompson said they remain “overwhelmed by the situation” but are being kept informed of developments.

Police are also reviewing Pheobe’s recent social media activity, which indicates she had not been in contact with her mother and had been “in and out” of home for several years.

Former friend of couple who were the last to see missing teen Pheobe Bishop reveals why she cut off contact - as new pictures reveal the critical forensic clues police are collecting

A former friend of the last people to see missing teenager Pheobe Bishop before she disappeared has revealed why she recently cut off contact with the couple.

Questions remain over exactly why she was living at the house with the pair, but final posts she made to social media before she disappeared suggested the troubled teen had fallen out with her mother and would not return home.

A woman who lives near the couple and has known Mr Wood since childhood told Daily Mail Australia she stopped speaking to him because she didn't like how he was allegedly treating his dogs.

The woman said she also became friendly with Ms Bromley until she was once in the car with her and allegedly 'reached under the seat and pulled out a [sawn off] shot gun' which had been stored there.

'She just laughed and said ''don't worry about it babe it's for self-protection''. I didn't talk to her much after that. It was a few months ago.'

The pair have been questioned by police and were released. No charges have been laid over Pheobe's disappearance and Daily Mail Australia does not suggest Mr Wood and Ms Bromley were involved.

The woman said James wasn't the 'quiet and shy' boy she knew from years ago.

'He was home schooled by his parents. He used to live in that bus that's out the front of his house,' she said.

'I stopped talking to him because I was worried about how he was treating his dogs.'

The search resumed on Saturday morning with a cry of Heigh-Ho, off we go, as about 40 SES volunteers entered thick bushland in the Good Night Scrub National Park.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal a drone expert from Queensland Fire and Rescue is being deployed above the area to assist the search for the missing teen.

It will be focused on the river.

Specialist police were pictured searching for the missing teen at Good Night Scrub Park on Saturday about an hour's drive from the airport as part of ongoing search efforts involving homicide detectives and divers.

Investigators returned to the national park on Saturday after discovering an item of potential interest in the area on Friday night. They did not state whether the item was connected to Pheobe.

So she has been in and out of home for awhile but ending up at the place of a couple that sounds dilapidated. LE says they are not suspects yet have said the home and vehicle are crime scenes. If the killing (if it was one) was not for profit, I can only think of some pretty bad reasons that would be a motive. The couple are arrested on other things...

I think it is pretty clear they may not be named suspects to the public but they are suspects.

Imo it is a very dumb move to take someone to an airport (supposedly) as it is so EASILY determined if they ever entered, got a boarding pass, or boarded. I myself would never leave a minor off, not ensure they got their boarding pass and on the plane.

1. I'm assuming her "luggage" was dumped somewhere.

2. From what I'm reading, Pheobe did NOT have good relationships with her parents.

Per above articles, it was a rocky road with her parents and sounded like she had been bouncing around for about a year. It also mentioned a recent tiff/disagreement with mom.

I'm curious can a minor book a trip without parental permission, and board there? I truly don't know, do airlines even give a sh*t?

As for her luggage, yeah, it had to be disposed of somewhere if she truly had luggage and I'd say cameras out and around need to be checked...

I'm guessing a 17 year old can. The age cutoff for unaccompanied minor fees etc is usually 15.

Yeah I have a feeling they likely could too based on all I can recall. I don't agree with it though, a minor is a minor, at least here I would say it should be 18 without parent notification at minimum but seems to me it isn't, just what I think, can't cite where I get that from at the moment, I just don't think the airlines really care.
