This one has a lot of developments happening all of the time lately as it heads towards trial. I haven't been able to keep up, have at times, but with other trials like Daybell and just life, just haven't been able to.
Watched someone last night that covered a variety of the more well known recent ones and she felt it was going to pretty much go from Read right into Kohberger is I think what she said. In the midst of that which I don't think she mentioned will be Brandon's trial in Daybell just for one or in between. And I am sure there are tons of others that don't get near the attn.
Have seen and heard a bit on it. Where I'd normally expect a possible delay, this just isn't falling for such. He has told Ann Taylor she shouldn't have taken on another murder case, I believe capital murder case, if she already can't get through discovery on this one, told her she should have gotten a discovery clerk (I am paraphrasing), and that if she couldn't get through discovery on time (yet files motions and took on another big case) then suggested she be asking for the money to hire one so she can do so before trial because the trial will proceed on schedule. Hey no arguments from me there, recognizing the delay tactics and calling them out, etc. and calling out what imo are many b.s. motions, typical defense stuff.
Hey I like it, and I paraphrased above and not speaking for him as I may not have it entirely correct but close I think. I like it because it is one of the exact problems in our system. And it is rarely called out as he is doing, he is putting it squarely on her. And all attorneys or most take on too many cases imo, and I mean even divorce attys imo, etc. we'll just put a bunch of balls in the air try to delay this case when there is a fire over in this case and so on and it's not fair to clients either. What is it, nothing is enough money? I mean I saw it even with divorce attys.
Not going to sidetrack but she was touted to be pretty good on most news I saw when BK was given her, but I sure haven't seen a THING by her that has impressed me.
And I like this judge for having the balls to point out if she doesn't have time to go through discovery she should have asked for funds for a discovery assistant/clerk and not taken on another big case. LOGIC NO?
Even so, just touching on that, things are happening every day in the case itself. Just haven't been able to keep up with it, lol unlike an atty who takes on too much, I know one can't always keep track of all when too many going on and I can't lately just as a follower. They need to learn that too.
