The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now involved in the ongoing search for a missing/endangered 11-year-old Colorado Springs boy who went missing Monday afternoon, and the task force investigating his disappearance is organizing a team of volunteers to start searching for him.

Gannon Stauch was believed to be a runaway after he left his home southeast of Colorado Springs between 3:15 and 4 p.m. on Monday. But as the week progressed, his disappearance was upgraded to a missing/endangered person case.

His stepmother said he left his home on foot to play at a friend’s house down the street on Monday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies and major crimes detectives had taken “extraordinary steps” to locate the boy, the sheriff’s office said. They were actively searching for evidence and taking witness statements, a sheriff’s office news release issued earlier this week read.

“He’s very young, it’s dark and cold outside and we want to bring Gannon to safety,” the sheriff’s said in a Facebook post earlier this week.

On Thursday afternoon, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and other task force members, as well as Stauch’s parents, hosted a news conference to update the community on his disappearance, discuss the steps being taken in the investigation, and to notify people in the area that they are organizing volunteers to begin a community search effort in coming days.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Mitch Mahalko said the sheriff’s office received the investigation on Tuesday afternoon and started doing interviews and collecting video surveillance and talking to neighbors, working to collect new leads.

He said that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and FBI got involved after the case was upgraded to a missing/endangered child case. The FBI’s team specializes in search and rescue and “will be a good partner” in the investigation, Mahalko said.

He said the investigation was active and that authorities were conducting interviews with witnesses and collecting evidence – exhausting every lead they receive.

Mahalko said investigators were looking at “persons of interest” in the case as people who might be able to give them additional information on Stauch’s whereabouts.

He declined to say where authorities had been searching but confirmed that investigators had been in contact with some trash companies in El Paso County and in the Lorson Ranch area.

Kirby stressed that people with tips should report them to their tip line – 719-520-6666 – and not on social media because any tips sent to the sheriff’s office on social media will not be considered.

Anyhow this woman had met T briefly before this ever happened and lived in her neighborhood and they had neighborhood FB pages etc. like many neighborhoods do.

Long story short, then Gannon goes missing and like many in their neighborhood she gets involved and goes on all the searches, does the turning the neighborhood blue for Gannon, etc.

A lot of interesting info in her testimony but again long story short, T was on FB and the group pages etc. and because she didn't respond to her messages she made a fake profile to get T to talk to her and started agreeing with her and acting as if she believed her, all the stuff she was posting, saying, etc. and over a bit of time T started talking with her by messenger, then by text, etc. THIS is interesting.... She was doing it of course trying to get info to find Gannon.

T's messages start hinting at asking someone to cover for her but claiming that isn't what she is asking, etc...

Both of these witnesses were interesting. LE and facts we didn't know of course are too but again that's more typical, the coroner, investigator and so forth... These two were unexpected as far as I'm concerned anyhow.

There's a lot more than I can cover. I'll just say her testimony is worth listening to for those who can't watch all. So is that of Harley's friend although not quite as much there but that testimony is also fairly short. They are the last two on day four.

Finished catching up on testimony in this one. That likely won't continue next week when all three trials start up, Daybell, Stauch, West.

To finish this out, the neighbor's testimony continued and in the end Letecia basically asked her to lie for her, to say she saw a dude, etc. in the area at a certain time. Her excuse was ring and other cameras didn't catch him or Gannon leaving AND it was for Gannon, she needed LE to put out info to other states and start looking for him, etc. We all know it was for her and to take the focus off her...

Again the woman pretended to side with her leading Letecia to open up. The woman did go to the police with it all.

And that's where it stands.

Monday starts with the Florida coroner on the stand.

Prosecution is well prepared and knowledgeable imo and have put their work in. Defense isn't doing much nor asking many questions and many seem to think they are doing a poor job, ineffective, etc. but again they aren't denying the murder, just claiming she was insane or whatever so they don't need I guess to go into whether details are true or not in most cases with witnesses.

I've been giving this a lot of thought, and I am not buying the insane defense. She put that little boy through so much pain and then lied and schemed and did crazy things to try to cover it up. Is she insane? Probably.. Does that mean she is not guilty ? NO. It means she knows what she did was wrong, Period.
I will never understand what drives a person to hurt/kill a child, whether that child is theirs or not. It is beyond me. I hope she goes to prison and never sees the light of day again.

I really appreciate the updates! Next week is going to be tough with so many trials going on.
Yeah I expect it to be a crazy week in these cases.

Stauch is far from boring but the defense isn't really giving anything back hard so pretty one sided so far although the witnesses and details have been interesting. And devastating and sad. I don't think we can expect that in Daybell, I think it will be all out on both sides and I hope the prosecution is up for it. In West we really don't get to hear any of it or do we? I can't recall...

Nothing explains how anyone can do such a thing but I think she was either trying to hurt her husband in the worst way possible (I do believe he was cheating) or she took her anger out at her husband who wasn't there on the child. Again, doesn't explain it but it's what I think the case likely was.

She also I believe resented having to be the one to stay with the kids and handle all that without his help and they were (two of them) his kids. It is very likely to me she never at any time "loved" his kids but I'm not even sure she is capable of love of anyone but self.

No keeping up for me today or likely this week. I only wish this case had summaries at days' end I could watch but of those I watch no one is doing that. It is largely going if not unnoticed, at least uncovered.

I turned it on about midday just thinking I could listen while doing a few things and catch bits and parts. When I turned on a woman was on the stand and I'm guessing she was LE discussing a phone call made where the person was wanting or needing her ID, passport, her laptop or Apple for school etc. and just caught her saying when the woman asked her name her say Harley Hunt. It was CLEARLY Letecia. No DOUBT. Not one with that voice. I think she said needed her purse and other things they took or were in the car or some such. Was she going to attempt to say also these things were Harley's? I wouldn't put it past her.

Then I caught a bit of how they extracted things from a cell phone etc. Defense I think it was (I wasn't watching) asked him if can get things for a year or two and the guy said for a lot LONGER than that from the past if they transferred info from one phone to another, etc...

I'm guessing but don't know as I haven't watched it and didn't this morning that they have had on all LE, tech experts from LE, etc. They then went on lunch break. Don't know much more.I DO want to see Harley's testimony and again I wish someone I knew of were summarizing it each day. Maybe when these trials slow down some will go back and do it since this one IS being recorded, etc.

I am watching the autopsy testimony of Dr. Ignacio at the moment. I was surprised they show the autopsy photos publicly. Seeing those little hands with the defensive wounds...🥺
Wow, they are? Night and day from Vallow. I know in the beginning I could see pics on the screen of what they put up but it was difficult to see close up and wasn't sure they continued to share them or not.

Anything you can share for new or relevant or of interest if you are watching this one or parts would be appreciated!

Nothing really new, we knew Gannon had been stabbed, beaten and shot. Dr. Ignacio said that she could tell that he would have been beaten and shot after being stabbed, because of the defensive wounds. He had lacerations on his head from blunt force. He was drugged with something as well, I forgot the name of the drug, maybe something like oxycodone?

These cases, the three on right now, so long it has went and so many stories and so much b.s. and trying to remember and keep up over time, I did know of all his injuries but unsure if I knew he was beaten after being stabbed and unsure if I knew he was drugged. I know it was speculated a lot that she drugged him but not sure I ever heard it as fact. This all by itself short of her imaginary rapists and people being real is enough in itself imo and there is so much more. I mean who else could have done all this to him with her home and him there? NO ONE. I am glad someone else is watching this, most out there are on Vallow and this case was and is as important and big with so many atrocious acts and escape attempts on top of it. Both have mental evals and attempts at using such as an excuse. The way these two women are, T is probably jealous Lori's is getting more attention and Lori is likely preening her hair and tossing her head and saying see, I'M the center of attention, not YOU.

Both apparently have glared or stared during their trials...

Another similarity is what each of these women did to the kid(s) and the overkill. Was it just one injury? Just losing it for an instant? NO. It was overkill. I don't want to dwell on what Gannon went through or JJ and Tylee nor do I want to see photos as it is about impossible to handle even thinking of, but do want to point that out, and both women also hid the bodies, desecrated the bodies, moved the bodies etc. Justice for ALL of these children and the respective spouses as well in the Daybell case... Lori may not have physically did so but was most definitely a part of all, the plan, the cover up, the lies, the conspiracy to get rid of her children. In this case, T most definitely did it all herself with perhaps one or more involved after in cover up... Whether knowing or unknowing...

it was hydrocodone that Al had been prescribed in May 2019 from having part of his index finger cut off; oh Gannon also had tylenol PM in his liver as well

here is the 2nd part of today's live trial, not sure why L&C cut in half today
