She was sleeping in the living room with both boys. She didn't wake up?. She had non life threatening wounds. She moved the knife and put it in the kitchen sink. A black guy broke in and did it. Her husband asleep upstairs and not waking up doesn't make sense but I think he was covering for her until she was convicted. He then divorced her. The gravesite, Chomping on gum, Laughing and shooting "Silly string". On one of the boys birthdays, Not long after the murders. That b***h did it!I disagree about Darlie Routier. I think her husband had a lot to do with it. When the cops asked him why she was attacked he said something to the effect of "They looked through the window and saw those amazing double D's"
They also found a sock between a couple of houses away from their home that belonged to the Routiers washed laundry. Nobody can explain how it got there.
She did, But I don't think she should have been executed. She needed mental help.It might sound a bit simplistic but I feel like Wuornos 1) had every reason to think men were men; and 2) was going to get them so to speak before they got her; and/or 3) had a thought on some level that men use and abuse me and always have so I'm going to do that to them before they can do that to me or I'll turn their weaknesses against them and again, get them or get them back and they are not going to get the best of me again...
She is a unique one. She did kill and it is inexcusable but one can see maybe somewhat how she came to such a point... But still, she killed....

I'm with you on this one. While I am not convinced of her innocence, I am also not convinced of her guilt at all. People do weird things in grief and that is not a reason to justify their guilt. The gravesite footage showed only a bit of the thing. The whole tape sheds a different light on it. She should at least get a retrial. How do you explain the sock?
No argument. She did, But I don't think she should have been executed. She needed mental help.

She Was 8 When a Man Kidnapped Her and Killed Her Family. Now Shasta Groene Shares How She Survived It All
Shasta Groene's will to survive is the focus of the two-hour premiere episode of People Magazine Investigates
Now Shasta is determined to set the record straight despite the pain that still haunts her. She has vivid memories of the night Joseph Duncan III, a violent sexual predator out on parole, sneaked into her family's home in rural Wolf Lodge, Idaho, and killed her mother, stepfather and one of her brothers (her two oldest brothers weren't living there at the time).
Though she survived weeks of terror, her ongoing recovery from that trauma has been difficult. She physically escaped Duncan, who died last year of brain cancer while serving multiple life sentences on federal death row. Emotionally escaping has been an ongoing struggle.
Shasta is sharing her story in hopes it will empower other victims of violence and serve as her own catharsis. "You're not your past," Shasta says. "Every day is a new chapter."
See Groene Family Massacre, the two-hour, season 6 premiere of People Magazine Investigates, airing Monday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery and streaming on discovery+ .
Imagine that!Another dude on parole.![]()
I am watching a documentary "Crazy, Not Insane". No, I'm not in it. It covers the brains of serial killers, Psychotic children, Dissociative disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder). People think it's B.S. it's not. It's rare. But exists. They have only found it in people that were severely abused and traumatized in childhood. Makes sense. The child creates another personality that is stronger and will protect them. It can often spread to more personalities for different things and needs. It discusses brain scans, Shawcross footage. Ugh. Park Dietz has a video speaking with him and he is interviewed. People who had a tumor and committed crimes after they got the brain tumor and didn't know but everyone noticed a difference. There's alot. It's very interesting.
I have to laugh at your "No, I'm not in it" lol. I hope I wasn't either!I am watching a documentary "Crazy, Not Insane". No, I'm not in it. HBO/HBO MaxWhere is that available to view?
LOL. No you weren't. Faked alot. For example "Ken Bianchi". One of the "Hillside Stranglers". I saw the footage of him switching over and more footage of him hypnotized In senior year psychology. He was a fake and I thought that then and there was just a 3 episode show about him and his cousin partner in the murders. And I think more than ever he is full of s**t! He will die on death row. Ridiculous. No you weren't in it. Or I would have alerted you right away with a candygram.I have to laugh at your "No, I'm not in it" lol. I hope I wasn't either!
I believe it exists but I also believe once known to exist that like anything, some have tried to act as if they have it.
It sounds very interesting, if I ever get time and know where to find it, I'd give that one a watch.
Any defense that has ever worked even once for someone, it seems they "all" try. *All" being murderers and/or their defense attorneys or sleazy paid for expert witnesses. Multiple personalities, false confessions, battered woman syndrome, etc. I believe in each there are TRUE cases where it is legitimate BUT a win by anyone then has tons of others trying it and they will continue to do so.LOL. But they don't seek help when they start having violent and abnormal thoughts. Iam sorry for their childhood, But they use it as a license to kill and an excuse. So if you were abused Mr. Serial killer, You want to hurt others that did nothing to you?. You want to take out your abuse on someone else?. I can't think of any right now that didn't gave an excuse for doing it. They never want to take responsibility. As I watch stuff about serial killers I've come to realize that the thing they most have in common is some sort of trauma during childhood.
Multiple personality is rare, So rarely used as a defense. It's always "Insanity" plea. And they aren't. They do extremely sick things. But do they understand right from wrong?. Do they know why they are in jail and what they are being charged with?. Very few have been declared insane. "Ed Gein" Was. And for very good reason. He was institutionalized in 1958 until his death in 1984. Dahmer did very sick things. But not insane.Any defense that has ever worked even once for someone, it seems they "all" try. *All" being murderers and/or their defense attorneys or sleazy paid for expert witnesses. I don't know about not wanting to take responsibility or having an excuse. Unless I'm just not thinking of it, I can't recall Dennis Rader using an excuse of things wrong in his life or childhood, etc. He GLORIED in being known for it, taunting the cops (as a few have done) , etc. Imo he got caught because of his very need to have them know they couldn't catch him (and they couldn't) until he kept doing that. He NEEDED that known, that HE KILLED and short of his contacting cops anonymously, they WOULDN'T have caught him...But they don't seek help when they start having violent and abnormal thoughts.
