Infant reported missing from Bloomington area

A missing infant is sought by Bloomington police, per a bulletin from law enforcement.

Officers said the missing 7-month-old child is Zaraz V. Walker of Bloomington. The child was reported missing at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday.

Police said Walker is missing "under unknown circumstances."

BPD: Missing infant not reported for 5 to 7 days

Somewhere out there is a 7-month-old baby girl gone missing. On Monday, Bloomington Police spokesperson John Fermon said Zaraz V. Walker was last seen five to seven days ago.

"We're not ruling out the possibility that some person may have the baby and taken care of her and hasn't reached out to the police, or doesn't know who to reach out to," said Fermon.

Police aren't saying who reported the child missing Sunday night, or much else, including answers to such questions as where did the parents think the girl was, or why she wasn't reported missing earlier. Fermon said the investigation is in its early stages and police hope the public will help find the child.

"Maybe you were at a gas station a couple days ago and you saw a 7-month-old juvenile baby or infant and thought something was off. Give us a call. We're just really looking for any tips," said Fermon, adding police also are asking other agencies if someone has found an unidentified child.

She concealed the death. Responsible for it. So she was able enough mentally to rationalize she did something wrong, And bury the baby to hide her guilt not to get caught. So how is she unfit?. BULL****!!!

Chicago, IL – Missing Child Alert: Search Continues for Zaraz Walker; Last Seen in 2022

Authorities in Illinois are renewing attention today on a long-term missing child case involving Zaraz Walker, who disappeared more than three years ago. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office issued a fresh appeal Wednesday, urging anyone with information to come forward as investigators continue efforts to locate the child.

According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Zaraz Walker was last seen on February 12, 2022, in Bloomington, IL. She was one year old at the time and is now four. The Sheriff’s Office shared updated age information, physical descriptors, and a photo Wednesday as part of its Missing Persons Project, which focuses on cases that have remained unresolved for extended periods of time.

Officials say Zaraz is described as a Black/African American female with brown eyes and black hair. At the time she was last documented, her height was listed as 2 feet and her weight at 40 pounds. Investigators did not release additional details about the circumstances of her disappearance but emphasized the need for renewed public engagement.

Deputies are asking anyone who may have seen Zaraz, or who has any information about the case, to contact the Cook County Sheriff’s Office at 773-674-9490 or email ccso.missingpersons@ccsheriff.org. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and authorities stress that even small details may help move the investigation forward.

The Sheriff’s Office also encouraged the public to share Zaraz’s information across social media platforms to help increase visibility and reach residents across Illinois, including Cook County, McLean County, and the broader Chicago metro area.
