ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

🎶 And I'll never smoke weed with Willie again 🎶 I would. HE77 YEAH!!!
I LOVE Willie. And I got to see him in concert at your MN State Fair and it was to be just him and Waylon decided to show up as a surprise! The crowd went WILD. In the gentle WILD of former years, no one killed each other or trampled one another. Also before cell phones and so on. It was my first concert ever and man was it a worthwhile one. Encore after encore and everyone with their lighters lit begging for more.

I don't get a lot of time to watch anything or share but Dolly too just had some appearance recently

I love many kinds of music and am not just country at all but talk about icons. I never smoked weed with Willie but if he'd have said to me let's do it, I would have. I'm not vulnerable and never have been to to peer pressure but uhm there are some chances I'm not going to pass up... Yes, you betcha Willie. For the chance to do so with you?? OKAY!!!

My parents took me to see Dolly and Eddie Rabbit at the state fair when I was a kid. I LOVE DOLLY!!!!

True story. Dolly was up for an award. I was 6, 7. She lost. I said "Sh*t". My mom said "That belongs in the outhouse". AHAHAHAAA. My parents didn't swear like that. I didn't get in trouble. That came later.

OMG were they together?? Eddie Rabbit was my era of high school!!! He was tops. And WHO can not possibly love Dolly? I don't care if someone is a jealous female judgmental type about her tits or wigs, she just is TOO down to earth and lovable for anyone to hate on.

When I was probably I don't know 8 or 9 at most maybe. My oldest sister bough my dad a set of Hee Haw cards. My dad was not a big TV watcher but it was one show we turned into. I may have been younger but middle grade school or thereabouts when the cards came. And for some reason, we had many decks of cards but we all used those a lot. The had every artist that had ever been on Hee Haw from Buck Owens to Merle Haggerd to you name it, in fact you could call it even the Grand Ol' Opry cards, etc. 52 of 'em. Of course. Some lesser known ones. And their pictures on the face of the card. So long before I had any real interest I knew a ton of names and country music singers of the years.

I was however exposed to 60s and 70s music growing up (siblings) and other music my folks listened to to no end. Then I was an 80s girls. Eddie Rabbit, Billy Joel, REO and more. But I also knew polka, big band/horns and so every much more. My mom bought us an Elvis book of music for our kid's organ can you imagine? Before he was known of much at all. A big thick book. Looking back, man would that be worth something and looking back, I am surprised she would have been aware of him much less endorsed him.

We also ahd albums of my folks around that were the likes of Kitty Wells, Byng Crosby and so many more.

In these later years I'm not up on nor stay up on music so well but imo the best has went before anyhow. I had a ton of eras I learned and grew up knowing.

It's just kind of funny to me of all the things she could do first after being out and her reasoning for picking this event.

I feel for her and yes, the very best thing for her would be to lie low for a bit and get her bearings in the outside world for a bit first. She has never really experienced life like we all know it and I'm afraid she will be like some of the Amish at Rumspringa and go crazy with freedom.
How does she have access to funds to even go to the game right after getting out? She's not out yet and already has tickets and a ride? Cheapest tics way up in nosebleed are $200 a piece! I sure hope whomever is setting this up is looking out for her and not enabling her in bad behavior. Plus, shouldn't she be on parole for a while after release? Her PO would allow this trip, especially so soon?

I like OLD county. 80's and before generally. But still ANYTHING DOLLY!!! WILLIE! I like country going way back. I listen to alot of different music too. My grandparents had a radio in the milk barn. It was on country. My grandma had a clock radio in the kitchen. It was on.

Also, she's either never been to Arrowhead to know TS will be arriving and leaving by the tunnel and straight up to where she enters the private suite or she had paid 10x per seat to sit in the club level. Even IF you were in club level, you would have to time it and be right by the elevators that are right by the entrance to the suite. The very guarded elevators.
