CO SUZANNE MORPHEW: Missing from Chaffee County, CO - 10 May 2020 - Age 49 *Found Deceased*ARREST*

A Chaffee County woman is missing after a neighbor said she went out for a bike ride Sunday and never returned, sparking a search involving more than 100 emergency personnel.

The Chaffee County Communications Center received a report on Sunday at 5:46 p.m. regarding a missing woman in the area of County Road 225 and West Highway 50.


Anybody who has information on Morphew’s whereabouts is asked to call the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office at 719-539-2596 or Chaffee County Crime Stoppers at 719-539-2599.

SUZANNE MORPHEW is still #missing from Mayesville, CO. Her husband was arrested in 2021 for her murder!

She was also found to have the animal tranq in her system.

Grand jury, okay, good. Going to be a different county too. This took awhile, guessing they did their homework.

Gilbert AZ, man criminals seem to like it there.

I was really despairing over her getting justice.

Can't stand seeing him or those girls. I gave the girls a chance for a long time but no more. Let's hope the judge this time isn't an idiot. Or falls for the Denver attys b.s.

A long read but worth it. Knew almost all of it but finding out they think she was moved was sort of new but I have always wondered myself.

The BAM thing is damning as heck. One private individual in the entire state who had access to it, well isn't he special. What's kind of always been thought. He put here through hell immobilizing her.

He is an evil and awful person, I've never had almost ever a lick of doubt in this one. It never added up from the start. He also told a ton of different stories.
 
A fairy typical press conference. She seems very capable. Seemed pretty typical to me, announcing the arrest, thanking LE, etc., partners and so forth.

Paraphrasing but most interesting part to me was I believe she was asked about reaction from him on his arrest and she said that will come out at trial and be part of. Found that interesting, he must not have reacted well and who knows what was said.

I am still so happy for this day! Long time coming. They talk as if they have it solidly locked down and I hope they do, she needs justice.

I also wonder if the man has much $$ left, never could handle it imo and part of why he did what he did imo. I hope it is dwindling.

Also asked what he was doing in AZ and she talked as if that will come out further as well.

Pretty sure I knew he was in AZ or planning on it awhile back so not exactly new news to me, wasn't sure recently if he still was though.

Man he disgusts me, always has.

Do you think it was the toxicology report that got them to refile charges? I don’t understand why they let him go the first time.

Well they had evidence of the tranq gone possible used and then they found it in her system and he was the only one in the whole state that had access to such, I think that's pretty big. I mean some agencies did, but they could all account for where their doses went, he was the only individual.

As for as letting him go the first time, that's a long story but imo a lot of politics were playing in. The judge also seemed to buy into the Denver female atty whatever she said, often wrong too. Jmo though.

They also did not have her body then, they do this time. It was left where it could be recharged, thank goodness.

A lot of things I think played into that dismissal but as I said, it's a long story. I can share more over time if you like, but it's a bit beyond me at the moment. The DA was new and unseated someone who most probably weren't happy about who were in the court system, sheriff's office, etc. She also got on a show or two on YT and they made a big deal of that. Lots of stuff honestly. Imo though too, that judge was an idiot or entirely biased.

I hope he has no means and no friends to get out. Last time he was out, then that judge I did NOT like reduced his conditions and more. So disgusting to watch.

One of the most interesting takeaways here for me is that he or he and someone/s moved her body. I was totally surprised when she was found where she was found, basically not even covered. I think he may have done that both out of fear but also hoping it would end it, not where it was expected, different county, etc, try to put it on someone else and so on. Backfired on him though.

THis man is flat out evil. I wouldn't normally be this way but it is one case where I don't even blame her for having an affair, she really had horrid times and marriage otherwise and stayed for the kids imo. He also knew she would. And had been with him since young. The couple of people she talked to and the man were all she had in life imo. And imo the kids are brats, I'm so done with them. GIVEN everything by her too, all done for them, more.

You know it's my pet case, watched all from day one. And that means down every hole, all of it. Case was wildfire online.

I hope we are finally there. He has had freedom and all the assets for way too long. I guess girls as long as hair gets done, they get trips, and new outfits, they could care less about mom. They sicken me. I've allowed for all of it, that they are kids, that they already lost one parent and you name it but no more.

You gave me enough details for now thank you! Makes more sense. I didn’t know they let him go before they found her body. I don’t have a timeline in my mind on this case.

yeah it's my pet one. The friend of mine who came with me here it is her main one too although they have some health issues going on right now, I should try to reach her, she has to be tickled if she heard of his arrest.

i know it pretty well from day one. Like any case, we may forget small details over time. I've followed from day one and it hooked me. His plea really did it, it was the fakest thing I ever saw and from there, it just kept going. No one will ever convince me on this one that man is not guilty. Usually I try to leave a bit of room for doubt but not in this one.

You may not recall but when I first came here with OOT @Oneofthem we were into the Kelsey Berreth/Patrick Frazee case big time. That case at JT was hardly allowed for certain people to talk of and not just us. It was ridiculous. We were JT burned too of course and wary.

I'm not even sure you had a thread on it. But when we mentioned it I think it was you who found it when trial was on and put up tweets.

Well in that case, his accomplice got off pretty much and her atty was a high profile atty who has always been the partner of the one who represented Barry Morphew. That one represents mostlly domestic abusers (men in her case) and types like that. Guys that probably kill their family and so on. I don't know what it is, but the last judge in this case bent to her. And she was LYING. He bent to BM.

In Frazee, the cohort female got a sweetheart deal and the DA at the time, I should know his name, never even tried to get a bit harder.

The two partners are supposedly split now in firms, just hear that last night, but I can't stand either of them.

Then I think politics in this one. Anyhow, I think a lot played in.

Alamosa County has it now as that was where she was found and it may have been BM's big mistake. Moving her there somehow. Chaffee County, well it ended up dismissed.

So a lot is different and Alamosa took their time. She was found quite awhile ago and I was getting frustrated wondering if they would build more of a case and recharge it. I did think they had enough the first time too but now they have a body and more.

Most of us who followed it thought she would NEVER be found. He had equipment, knew the mountains, that was their backdrop, etc. Hunted, had time, poured cement, you name it. Could have been anywhere. Either he got worried they had a clue where she was, or he thought it would never end for him if she wasn't found, and was trying to make it look as if someone else did it, and sounds like he moved her per the indictment.

Everyone deserves a defense but I hope he is out of money for Iris Eytan, I can't stand her. And I hope she does not go pro bono if he is. For some reason people bow to them or judges seem too and DAs. It's weird. I see right through them but Chaffee was a small county too. Hopefully Alamosa will stand.

I've got a thing with more than a few Colorado cases.

It was Suzanne's money anyhow from her family. And that's disgusting too as he profited and has been living the high life.

Even when charged with murder the first time he was let out! He's had years of freedom.

Many are passionate over her and this case and been waiting a long time.

Some cut the daughters a break but I am so far over that. Kind of like with Chad's children. I will understand and go awhile but when it goes too far, I'm done. Some even think the older daughter was involved. I haven't went there, but I have not dismissed it.

He is a flat out sociopath or whatever the right term is nowadays.

I know you didn't need more but just a few more details. Suzanne had trouble having kids and from all accounts was so grateful when she did. She probably contributed to spoiling them and it seems she was staying for the kids as she was miserable and talking to friends of how bad he was. She was hoping to I think make it til the youngest graduated. But she finally had it too as he was making it scary and impossible and she told him as much, that she was done, and that's about when she went missing.

I think that's a fair recap.

Don't know where to start. So he spent her money on some dilapidated trailer park? He sure does not do much as a landscaper, etc. Fake trip to Broomfield to try to cover his killing her and now a trailer part he doesn't take care of.

In some cases we disagree, in others, almost no one does. In this one, not just here but out there on the web, most people are united in what a monster he is. Not much disagreement at all.

I think BAM is going to be said a lot even during the trial by people. BAM Barry. Gotcha.

Apparently he does have a new attorney. That is very interesting...

Mallory can probably take care of the dive trailer park but she needs to learn how to dress the part. I have absolutely no patience left for his daughters. Your dad is a murderer of your mother but you think you are some Hollywood stars and I'm not kidding.

This has been a long time coming. I think I had other things but that's enough. Hopefully Alamosa has good and smart people in charge. It is looking pretty good. They took their time and here we go. There is enough in the indictment but they haven't shared all which I tend to agree with.

Not ever podcasters disagree on this one or defend him, etc. I don't know how she lived with this man as long as she did. Well I get it to a point but boy...
 
Just four minutes. He appears through it. He is waving extradition. Satisfying to see him jailed. She says a lawyer at his own cost a couple of times. Makes me wonder if he will have Iris when he gets back to CO. Maybe he only has a different one for this short process in AZ. man I hope not.

 
I am free of course to be corrected if wrong but I think it said also there is only one supplier in the entire U.S There are a lot of things with him one has to wonder some of the things he had access to and was getting away with. Many hunt, have deer farms and so on. It was always RUMORED he had connections. I'm not stating that as fact, I don't know but the entire thing went very strangely imo.

I'm just HOPING it is sewn up this time. They did take their time since finding her body.
