AMBER Alert issued for missing 5-year-old out of Hawkins Co.​

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide AMBER Alert for a missing 5-year-old girl from Rogersville in Hawkins County Wednesday morning.

Officials with the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to WVLT News that Summer Moon-Utah Wells went missing Tuesday night. Sheriff’s Office officials are asking for the public’s help locating the child.

Summer Wells has blonde hair and was last seen wearing grey shorts and a pink shirt on Ben Hill road, officials said. She has been missing since 7 p.m. Tuesday.

TBI officials said Summer Wells may now have shorter hair than that pictured in earlier alerts.

Summer was last seen walking away from her home on Ben Hill Road, off Beech Creek Road, at around 7 p.m.

Different places have slightly different criteria. Sometimes it's also a
judgement call. If this is the case, then LE definitely believed it was an abduction.

It was nothing. Just a play on words. But it would be good to know where the dog reacted, if it did. Maybe it didn't react and that was why they didn't use a second dog too.

Fyi, the dog led from their property through woods and down to the street relatively near to their driveway.

I have to agree with them on this. What would another interview do besides create more drama?

Any time either of them have said a word, they've been torn apart and sometimes some is deserved but other times people intentionally misconstrue what one or the other says imo. Glad to see them decline actually.

I'm no fan either, I think one or both know what happened to Summer, but some in the public go way beyond out of line with them.

If I remember right, at a point a vehicle came into it, they put out posters I think it was a red truck if I recall. I had my doubts but it does help get an Amber Alert.
