CA Skeletal Remains Found by New Homeowner in Apple Valley, California - June 2026

Deputies in Apple Valley are investigating after mysterious skeletal remains were discovered in the backyard of a home by homeowners who had just purchased the property.
A woman who claims to be the new owner of the house on Crest Drive told KTLA that her 19-year-old son spotted the remains this past weekend, after an inspection and appraisal had already been completed.

My guess is that it was hidden in brush and weeds.

Three party I find interesting is that there was a welfare check at that house about a year prior. I wonder what became of that. The neighbor said one of the older occupants died and they "presumed" the spouse moved. It's this the spouse?
