A first-degree murder charge was filed on Tuesday against a young man in the case of missing Iowa jogger Mollie Tibbetts, state officials said Tuesday.

The suspect, 24-year-old Cristhian Rivera, is an undocumented immigrant who lives in the rural area where the college student vanished one month ago, according to Rick Rahn of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

So these men with all the power and the masks and weapons make him drive way out into a corn field. He disposes of Mollie, he covers her up. Amazingly they let him drive out of it and don't want a ride in rural Iowa dressed like freaks and he does not know where they went or if they walked in their sweaters, ski masks, pants, etc. all the way out of the corn field or what. In hot and humid Iowa July.

He also does not know how they got to his rural property/house. He saw no vehicle, they just were in his house when he came out of the shower.

This has to be up there with one of the most crazy ludicrous stories I have ever heard. And there is so much more than I have mentioned here.

Pushing hard for reasonable doubt, imo.

I guess, for those jurors that fall for something that sounds like a sci-fi fictional movie where the men apparently appeared out of nowhere and vanished the same way or came down out of a space ship and then were beamed back up. LOL. Jmo.

What was so ridiculous about this is that they put her on after Rivera, the defendant, had just been on describing the two men who took him so Mollie could be killed and Rivera made to hide her body, etc. He described the sizes of the TWO men so we have the defendant stating WHAT HAPPENED to Mollie with himself present and neither man was described to be something like 6'7" which Slife's father is.

In my opinion it was a stupid move because again, their client just gave the "facts" per him of what happened to Mollie and he was THERE. All of my nephews are tall like this as was my boss and my grandson is getting near that height and will be, as is his dad. You would definitely point this out in describing them.

Presenting an alternative suspect when Rivera just described the "two" suspects who were with him throughout Mollie's abduction and murder and neither fit this description...? They just made his own testimony even more false if you ask me, by doing so...

There was nothing in her testimony to place her father there, just that she hated him, he molested her and her sisters and she could believe he could do such a thing so she called the tip line. He did not even live in an adjoining county. I honestly don't know why the judge allowed it except he gave so much leeway to the defense it was crazy.

All jmo.

Defense rested. Jury instructions and closing tomorrow. My prediction is a quick guilty verdict and if they deliberate before lunch, they will go just past lunch and deliver a guilty verdict. Total speculation on my part, but it's my guess.
