KSP declares Amber Alert for 5-year-old girl believed to be in danger​

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 5-year-old girl from Princeton, Kentucky after her mother was found shot and killed.

Lela Black, 5, is believed to be with her biological father, 42-year-old Byron Black, who has a warrant out for his arrest for the murder of her mother, Kelly Black.

On Sunday, Kentucky State Police discovered Kelly Black shot in the back of the head at a Princeton residence. Authorities said neither Lela or Byron have been heard from since Friday, Jan. 26.

KSP officials believe Byron Black is "armed and dangerous." He is believed to be driving a white 1996 Chevrolet Silverado with the California license plate 5J83779. There is paint peeling off the hood of the car.

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a 5-year-old girl after her mother was found shot to death.

According to the alert, Lela Black, 5, is believed to be with her biological father, Byron Black, 42.

He is accused of killing Lela's mother, Kelly Black. Officials said she was found Sunday with a gunshot wound to the back of the head at her home in Princeton. That's just east of Paducah.

Officials said Byron and Lela have not been heard from since Friday, Jan. 26.

They said there is a murder warrant out for Byron's arrest and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

So like way too many sad cases, in no time flat dad leaves his 5 year old daughter with no parents. I'm sure because he wanted the daughter and cared about her with all his heart. Uh huh. Smdh.
